~Plot~
(I suggest 1900's England, but any time period will do.)
One day, a strange man comes to a quiet town to rent out the bottom floor of a building; he opens up a chocolate shop. Tall, dark, handsome, and never seen outside in daylight, the townspeople are suspicious, but the children and young people are delighted.
With his mysterious charm and delicious confections, he lures one boy of 17 named Avery closer and closer, each day talking with him and building a strangely intimate bond. One fateful evening, Avery finds himself in the back room, where the handsome shop keeper bites him, turning him into a vampire... He becomes the helper of the vampire, fated to leave the shop only at night...
(Something like the shopkeeper, but a bit more friendly looking when he's serving customers?)
