On a Spring Saturday, Basios was enroute to a student's of his that needed help for a couple classes she was behind on.
It sure wouldn't make him look good if he let someone graduate with a couple D's while everyone else is at a B or A-grade average!

Lest they start thinking something was going on between them to let her get away with sub-par scores and failure, the smoky-haired 20-something would have to try his best at making hard classes sound easy.

What made Trigonometry so bad anyway? With barely a memory on how to do it before he graduated college but an answer book right in front him, this was going to be a cake-walk!

What made trigonometry so bad was that she hated math. Luna was in her room sitting on her bed and writing in a notebook while she waited for the teacher to arrive. It was late in the morning on a Saturday and she was still in what she had worn to bed the night before. On the bottom half of were a pair of pajama bottoms that fit her loosely. They were light blue with different colored shooting stars and crescent moons on them. On the top half of her body was just a plain black tank top. Luna had long and curly black hair. Her eyes were exotic and unique. Her eyes were a shade of dark purple that would remind you of the sky on a cloudy night. Her ears were pierced with a pair of black and white 'Fender' guitar pics. Around her neck was a golden chain and from the chain hung a white gold crescent moon and a gold star pendant. On her right hand ring finger was her class ring. On the girls right wrist were the words 'Moon Baby' tattooed in a fancy script and around the tattoo were blue crescent moons and purple shooting stars.

"Why does math have to be so damn hard?" She mumbled to herself as she continued to write. Math had never been one of the things that came easy to hurt like writing and drawing had. Math was never one of the things that came easy to a person who was very creative and had a good imagination. The only thing out of the basic subjects she liked was English.

Despite being a relatively young teacher, Basios had shoulder-length, dark gray hair. His irises were colored bright yellow, giving him a playful and curious look.
He wore a predominately black, grunge-ish outfit, like a teenager who never wanted to grow up. On the chest of his t-shirt was a red diamond on its side with a line running vertically through the middle.
His pleated pants covered the laces of his sleek shoes--which had to be the most expensive part of his ensemble. In fact, probably the only thing that cost over $12.

He wasn't exactly poor, neither did he want to live frugally, necessarily; just want to look how he felt.
Basios rang the doorbell upon arriving at Luna's abode, unable to help playing with his hair as he waited.

Luna heard the door bell and tossed the notebook she had been writing in on her bed. She then headed down stairs and opened the door. She smiled when she saw who it was. Luna had never had this guy as a teacher but some of her friends had and they said he was a nice guy. She let him in and smiled at him. Her math book and the other things she would need were sitting on the table in front of the couch. "I'm Luna." She said and offered her hand to him after closing the door. Although she was sure he knew who she was.

"I'm Basios!" He replied informally, shaking her hand. "I don't think you've ever been in one of my classes before..."
Trailing off as he looked around, he asked a little awkwardly, "Where are your parents?"

"They are at work." Luna said. Truth be told that was where her parents were most of the time. Even when they did come home they didn't stay very long. "And no, you haven't. You've had a lot of my friends though." She added and smiled weakly at him once again.

"I-It doesn't make you a little lonely or...nervous to be home alone?" Basios was hoping more or less that she was so he could feel better.

He kicked girl-shyness a long time ago, but now he was just worried that he might appear creepy to her in some way.

"I get lonely a lot." She said with a shrug. "But it doesn't do any good to tell them." She added. Luna didn't think he was creepy at all. "H... How about we get started on this math?" Luna suggested, not wanting to stay on the subject of her home life too long figuring if they did he would start asking questions that she really didn't want to answer.

In all honesty, Basios was naturally an inquisitive type, but he came here for a specific task that shouldn't be deviated from.

"Should we get started on your math first?" The teacher suggested, looking over to the kitchen.

She noticed him looking at the kitchen. "If you're hungry or thirsty I can get you something, all you have to do is ask." Luna said as she watched him. "Maybe you could get all your stuff you need to teach me ready while I get you something." The girl suggested to him.

"O-Oh, that would be very nice, Luna!" Basios nodded, agreeing. "I was just wondering where you wanted to be working on all this with me."

He set up shop in the kitchen, sitting at the table with his answer book for the Trig lessons out in front of him. "You really don't have to go through any trouble for me..."

Basios was always modest, even when he was a guest.

"The kitchen is fine." She said as she saw him setting up at the kitchen table. "It's no trouble. Now, tell me what you want." Luna said as she leaned against the counter, smiling at him.

"Can I have cupcakes?!" He quickly answered with a squeak in his voice. "Um--Please?"
Basios' eyes couldn't help wandering over to the assorted, stellar-themed designs all over Luna.

She nodded and put a few cupcakes on a plate for him. One was vanilla with lemon icing and the other was chocolate with strawberry icing. She walked over and put the plate in front of them. "I must warn you, the icing is really sweet." Luna said. She only had one tattoo and that was on her right wrist. It was of the words 'Moon Baby' in a fancy script and around the word was an array of blue crescent moons and purple shooting stars.

"I don't mind!" Basios immediately started munching into the strawberry icing and waited for Luna to sit down before asking, "Where'd you get that tattoo? I didn't know there were any places around that offered them to minors."

She couldn't help but laugh as she watched him and soon took a seat beside him. "There really aren't any places that are, but I didn't get it done at a tattoo shop. A really good friend of mine did it for me."

Almost done with the cupcake within his third bite into it, Basios asked, "It's a very pretty design! Does your friend attend any of my classes?"

She shook her head no. "He says he already know what he wants to do and math is pointless in terms of getting him there so he doesn't go to math class, or any class for that matter."

She nodded. "He doesn't care about school." She said with a shrug. She was tracing the lettering of the words in her tattoo with her left pointer. "He plans on starting his own tattoo shop."

"He's definitely got talent." Basios idly rubbed his nose. "It shouldn't be that hard for him to make a good start at it."

Just then remembering how those offered sweets tasted, he added, "Those cupcakes were very nice; did you make them yourself?"

She nodded and smiled softly at him after looking up from her tattoo at him. "Yes, I did it a few nights ago. I wanted cupcakes." Luna said and laugh, sure that it had sounded dumb.

"I should stop by more often to be your taste-tester!" Basios chirped. "W-Well, if you'd want me to...It'd be kinda awkward to come by when your boyfriend is over or something." He smirked uneasily, looking away as he twirled a hair strand around his finger.

She couldn't help but laugh. "Maybe you should." Luna said with a smile. "What boyfriend? No guy finds me pretty enough or whatever to date me." She said with a shrug as she watched him play with his hair.

Basios tilted his head to one side, blurting out, "I think you're very pretty!"
He froze and his eyes widened when he realized what he just said to her and stuttered, "N-Not that looks are what I'd solely base an attraction off of! But...you are a nice, polite person too."
