The sun was high, making the underlying ground a deep emerald green. The jungles of Bornio were hot, humid, and inhospitable to all but the bravest travellers. Believe it or not, it was not because of the heat and humidity, it was more the threat of the creatures there. Although the jungle was unfriendly towards humans, Nagas and the many other snake-beings found refuge there. Plenty to do, plenty of food, it was more comfortable than the sands of the deserts could ever hope to be.
There was one Naga in particular who was both feared and respected in the hiearchy of the trees. His name was Seth. Just Seth, and he possessed the human body of a 19 year old male, and the lower body of the ever-famous Giant Constricter. His hair was the color of dirt, with the occasional black stripes, and his green tail could blend in perfectly with the tall grasses in which he hunted. The human part looked completely normal by Naga standards, but most humans found him alluring. But the most dangerous part of him was not his tail, or the fangs every snake-being possesed, but his vivid, emerald green eyes. They could transfix a creature, stopping it in it's tracks. But, where was the fun in that?
Seth perched himself in a branch low to the ground, the tail wrapped tightly around the limb. His eyes were closed, and he smiled as the days warmth worked itself through his scales, heating his body to a workable temperature. "Hmm..... How to start the day," he wondered, looking around the trees. Then, as if offering a suggestion, his stomach growled. He hadn't eaten for two weeks now, his last meal being incredibly large.
