"So who is glad that this is your final class of the day? I know i am, i had the worst classes ever today." Kaylan Greene said turning to his class. He was the schools favourite teacher as he was the most relaxed. "So guys, i want you each to just go to your chosen instruments and practise the same as before." He smiled, flashing his teeth to the class. He was a vampire but he hid it well. "If anybody needs any help them you can always ask me." He said.

He sat back at his desk, doodling on a sheet of paper. He liked doodling during his classes. A multitude of noises hit his ears, which were particularly good at hearing smal noises. There were drums, guitars, flutes and keyboards being played. He looked around and found himself smiling, his favourite student was there, she always performed well in his class and he considered her to be a good friend. He stood up and walked over to her. "Hows things going over here?" He asked tapping her shoulder. "Need any help?" He asked. He was highly skilled at every instrument in the room so if anybody wanted help they knew to go to him but he liked asking anyway.

Roxanne had been practicing playing the song 'Every Rose Has It's Thorn' when she felt him tap on her shoulder. She was in the middle of the chorus when she stopped to look up at her teacher. Like the rest of her class mates she had now clue what the man they called their teacher was. Unlike the rest of her class she didn't realize she was his favorite. "Things are going okay. I'm just practicing a song." She said to him as she looked back at him with her beautiful green eyes. Her eyes were always filled with emotion, like a true artist. She had long and curly hair that was dark brown; the color of chocolate. Today she wore a pair of dark wash jeans and an old 'Poison' band tee from one of their tours in the 1980's. She had been wearing a plain black hoodie earlier in the day but now it laid on the table top of her desk, along with her bag. In her ears were a pair of purple 'fender' guitar pick ear rings. On her right hand ring finger was her class ring and on her left hand thumb was a gold 'Harley Davidson' ring that seemed to hug her thumb perfectly.

Besides playing guitar she like to sing, write, and she loved photography. A few of the students were watching the two of it. It seemed innocent enough to anybody who didn't know Roxanne was Mr. Greene's favorite. "You might want to check if anybody else needs help." Roxy suggested as she looked back at him.

"They dont need help, compared to you they are monkeys hitting a bunch of cymbals." He smiled. "You see, ive been watching everyone play and you show the most emotion, the most skill and the most passion for the art." He said. He hadnt noticed before but her eyes were of the deepest green he had known in all his 400 years of living, of course nobody but he knew that, given that his immortality meant people noticed when he never aged. "You need to relax, this song takes a lot of time to master perfectly." He picked up a nearby guitar and sat next to her. "Just try closing your eyes and letting your hands go off on their own." He advised playing the song slowly first. His pitch perfect note playing was largely due to the fact that before he was a vampire he loved playing whatever instruments he could find, with the years going by he developed more and more skill and started taking teaching jobs. He always picked music as it was one of the most important things in his life.

He heard someone calling for his help and he turned and told them to wait. "If you need me you can always call me. Most kids calle me Mr Greene, but i prefer my first name, Kaylan, or Kai for short." He smiled standing up. "Im not just your teacher, think of me as a friend." He flashed her a smile, wary that if she looked close enough she would see his elongated teeth. He turned and walked over to another student who needed help reading a hard line of notes. He played the tune for him and took him through it step by step.

She smiled weakly at him when he flashed a smile at her, not having time to reply what he had said before going to help the student that had asked for help. She had noticed that his canine teeth were a bit longer than most but told herself it was nothing. That some people had canines that were a little longer. Roxanne couldn't help but laugh softly at his comment comparing her to the class after he had left. When he had sat down to help her she had been watching him and listening to every piece of advise he had given her. She looked down at the guitar she was holding and closed her eyes, taking a few deep breaths before letting her eyes open again. "Let's try this again." She mumbled to herself and started to play, singing the words to the song as well. She had a beautiful voice.

Kai sat back in his chair, now quite sure he would have to be more careful around the students, he was being to relaxed and almost revealed himsefl so now he had to be vigilant. He pulled a piece of paper over to himself and started writing down the students names and the expected grades, noting that only one got the highest mark. He smiled to himself a little and put the piece of paper in his desk drawer, he looked at the clock and saw that he had actually spent a lot of time writing and the day was almost at an end.

He looked out towards the class and raised his voice so everyone would hear. "Time to put everything away everyone." He said smiling. He was looking forward to going home, having a shower and pondering what to do over the weekend. His bathroom, which had a window that was on the ground floor, looking out into his back garden, was fairly large, sometimes he would stand looking out at the tree in his back garden while he was showering, it relaxed him and made him feel almost human. Thats why he enjoyed his night times. The only problem was that the neighbors cat consistantly climbed into his bathroom when he opened the window while showering to let the steam out.

He realised he was again daydreaming again and the bell was about to ring. He quickly through everything into a desk and locked it before standing and picked up his jacket. "Next week you will get your expected grades and the final tests." He said. He placed his jacket on his chair and picked up a tshirt from his bag. He lifted it over his head, over the tshirt he had on and put on his jacket, it was cold outside, at least for him and he liked to be warm.

Roxanne had put the guitar away and was back at her desk. She put the black hoodie she had with her on and zipped it up about half way before sitting in her seat. 'I won't be surprised if he wants me to stay after.' Roxanne thought to herself as she waited for the last bell of the day to ring. She had began to notice it more lately than she ever had before, the way he treated her was far different than the way he treated the other students. He would always come up to her, asking if she needed help. Like he wanted to talk to her. Yet, most of the time he wouldn't help other students unless they asked for it. For now she just pushed that thought to the back of her mind.

All of the other students were up out of their seats and talking, waiting eagerly for the bell to ring. It was clear that they couldn't wait to begin their weekend. Soon the bell rang and all the ones who were standing rushed out. Roxy just waited for the room to clear out before standing up and picking up her bag. "I'll see you Monday, Mr. Gre..." She cut herself off remembering what he had said earlier. "I mean, Kaylan." Roxy corrected herself. She saw no problem with calling him that now. After all, school had just ended and they were the only two in the room.
