On The Throne Ruling The World
The young man let out a sigh as he walked through the halls of the boarding school... trying to concentrate on the chess tournament that he knew was going to be coming up soon. Yet he found his mind wondering away from practice and everything else, and to the problems he had with bullying. It wasn't like he didn't stand up to them, it was more like he wasn't strong enough to be able. They were mostly able to pin him down and just beat his ass to ground anyway. So again he kept trying to think of the many strategies that he had come up with and to just focus on them, but he felt that he couldn't, and it was at that moment that Andol had soft tears running down his face as he walked down the hall; today was another bad day as usual. He had spent a bit of the day in his room crying, not just because of the bullying, but just because he had felt bad about life in general. He wondered if maybe things would get better soon, well at least he was lucky in the fact that he didn't have a roommate. That was one thing to be thankful for. It made him smile a little bit as he thought about the fact that he had a private room, and the fact that he still had that favorite ring of his. It was very special to him, and he had gotten it form the first guy he had ever loved. The guy had been a dragon who had been killed in car wreck a week later. They had never had sex or even kissed, but there relationship had been close. So that was why the young man held onto the ring.

It was then that he noticed that he was not alone in the hallway... and that he was being followed. Andol knew that all he really had to do was to make it to his room and the two guys behind him would not be able to get in. So he sped up his walking quite a bit, and just pretended like he didn't notice that they where there... and right before he could turn down the hallway to his room, the young man found it suddenly blocked bay another guy as he was quickly pushed against the nearest wall by the leader of the gang of three guys who regular liked to use Andol as there punching bag. Though as usual he was quite defiant in his nature as he said, "Look Leo... I said get the fuck off me..." The cat anthro who was the leader of the group hiss at him in an angry fashion saying, "Shut the fuck up. Look we know that your parents give you a good amount of money and we want all of it.. NOW!!" The lion growled a bit as one of his human friends punched Andol across the face, leaving the young man with a black eye. He then said to him again, "Now I said your going to give us the money that we want or else." Andol knocked the others hand away saying, "As if... now just fuck off."

This only caused another hit though this time it was form the lion himself and not form one of the two humans as he punched Andol in the gut. Causing the young man collapse down the wall a little as the wind was knocked out of him. Though he did his best to keep stand, and was helped by the fact that the lion was holding him against the wall... and then at that moment Leo after getting no answer for a few second growled again and said, "Well if that is the case and you’re not going to give me what I want then I will just take something precious form you." It was then that other male looked at the necklace that he had always seen the human wearing and with a evil smirk on his face he said, “Such as that stupid little ring you got…” He reached out and snatched it off of Andol’s neck, though the young man was quick to grab it, as a look of horror crossed his face, at the very possibly at loosing the only thing which he had to remember his first love by. So he held onto it with all his might as the lion pulled at it saying, “Give it here right now you little piece of shit…” Yet Andol would not let go, even when the humans started to kick him he would not let go of his most precious passion… of course it eventually became too much and he found it ripped away from him. That was the end of it for him, as he found himself trapped there by these bullies and pinned to the wall, his ring stolen away by Leo… he wasn’t sure what he was going to do or how he was going to do, but the only thing he could do for the first time was to squeak out the words… “Help me…” It wasn’t loud, but if there was anybody in the hall they would be able to hear it.

One of the not so pleasant things about being the new kid at school was the tendency to get lost. Wandering unfamiliar halls in large circles trying to find that one class you needed to get into in the five minutes you had between periods. It was infuriating and Will was not known for his patience anyways. That was of course how he stumbled across the bully scene before him and his reptilian glare hardened. That poor human was half the size of the lion that was currently trying to wrestle away something from him. He barely even caught the call of Help me but when he did he sprung into action striking as quick as his feral cousins.

A sharp hiss escaped his throat and his tail whipped out grabbing one human around the middle and throwing him into the lockers with enough force to wind him. “Back off all of you!” he said angrily “And give the kid back whatever the hell it was you stole cat before I introduce you to my teeth.” He approached the lion head held high and a positively deadly look in his eyes. He wasn’t poisonous never claimed to be but he had rather sharp retractable fangs that could easily pierce something vital if he got a hold of the cat. Even though he didn’t know the policy on fights between anthros at this school he would be willing to break them to save the poor kid currently getting the crap beat out of him by a bunch of meatheads.

He opened his mouth and a pair of three inch fangs dropped down the light glinting off them dangerously. All the while his tail had snatched a hold of the other human and was currently suspending him four inches of the ground without really thinking about it. Will was in very good shape it was easy to make out the muscles in his arms and stomach tensed as he was. The snake wasn’t exactly ripped but it was obvious he could hold his own in a fight with a lion if he needed to.

Andol's normally wasn't all that submissive in his personality... it was just that he had been trained to be that way. I was hard to really hold up after being beat up some many times, and to find that your efforts to fight back where easily brushed aside. That was probably the reason that he had fallen for Draco... the dragon who had died. The other male had protected and had helped to boast his confidence to fight back and even try to get stronger so that he would be able to defend himself. This had been crushed though with the death of the other male, as Andol had not really found much time to train himself before Draco had died, and so that left him in his weak state. He knew that it seemed sad, but his moral had been beaten down enough, but that didn't mean that he didn't fight back, which was why at this point he was trying to reach up and grab his ring back. It was indeed that important to him... of course that was when he suddenly heard something, in that long dark tunnel that he felt himself in, it was a voice... and form the sound of it; he could tell that it was indeed a voice of a savior.

Andol recognized the voice of...William. The reason was that Andol knew the snake was that his boyfriend Draco had known the snake had introduced him to the other male one time, and they sometimes had talked outside of school when he had been hanging out with his boyfriend, but had not really been friends, but here he was being saved by the other male. This made him happy a bit as he smiled up in the direction of the snake and watched the since that happened. He cheered for the snake anthro in his mind, but knew that the end of this was already decided. The two humans where not going to mess with an anthro and Leo wasn't as strong as was Will. So he watched as Leo realized that there was someone behind them, and the lion turned around with a smile that was so smug it made one want to punch it off of his face, "Oh hey there... we were just trying to get some money from the human here... if you wanted to help I could give you a cut?" Though the feline quickly found his question answered as one of his friends was sent flying. The lion growled at the snake, but quickly helped up the one who had been dropped to the ground while the other struggled to get away form the snake. Leo therw the ring back on the ground at Will's feet as him and his friend ran down the hall though Leo left with the words, "Don't think this is the end of this William... you can't protect him forever." Soon they were gone.

Andol just stayed down on the floor for a few more mintues as waited for the entire scene to be over. Then quickly he crawled forward and grabbed the ring before slowly sitting back again... not really sure if he was ready to stand up. Looking up at the other male he just softly said, "Thank you Will." It had been a long time sinice he had seen the other male, but snake anthro's where pretty rare at least in the less tropical regions... at least second only to gryphons in over all rareness, and so you kind of never forgot them. Slowly he stood up and didn't say anything else becuase he wasn't even sure if the other remember him or not.

“It’s not problem those idiots need to learn when to back…” he slowly turned his head and blinked slowly at the boy still sitting on the ground. “I know you.” He said finally his tongue flicking out to taste the air. “Andol right? You were Draco’s boy.” Will gazed unblinkingly at the ring. “Yeah you were Draco’s boy. I remember when I helped him pick that out for you. I didn’t know you went to this boarding school, though I suppose it makes sense considering he used to go here as well.” He crouched down beside the frightened human and his eyes softened slightly. “You look like you’ve been beaten down one too many times kid. I can see it in your eyes.” That was a shame because he remembered the talkative brave human that he was introduced too. Losing the dragon must’ve done a number on him.

“Sitting here all day isn’t going to make it better. C’mon up you get. You can take me to the nurse’s office and which point I will drop you off after getting directions to the admissions office so I stop wandering around like an idiot. How does that sound?” he stood up and offered his hand to the shorter male with a slight smile which seemed odd on such a reptilian face. At least he was careful not to display his rather sharp teeth. Will never spent much time with Andol and Draco, their obvious infatuation with one another bugged him for the longest time. He felt uncomfortable and unwanted though the two never really kissed in front of him. Up until the accident that killed the dragon he probably hadn’t spoken to Draco for over a month. It was something he regretted.

He’d decided transfer to this school because their track program was better and they were undefeated. They’d willingly accepted him because of his reputation even if it was technically in the middle of the track season. Will had been on his way to the admissions office to get his room number and class schedule when he came across Andol being bullied and he was glad he did. He couldn’t imagine what would’ve happened if they hadn’t been able to get that ring back.

Andol stayed there sitting on the ground and looked up at the snake, a soft smile creeping onto his face when he was finally recongized by the larger male, "Yep it's me Will, so what are you doing here? Finally decide to transfer to a school with a better track program?" Andol had been to a few of the snake's meets with the dragon in order to support the other male. Draco had always been someone who was there for his friends, and so made sure that Will had always had a cheering section just for him in any crowd. To bad the dragon wasn't here now, he would have most excited to see the dragon coming to there school now. When the other crouched down there near him and Andol looked into the eyes of the larger male he felt a sense of comfornt just form being near the snake, though it also had to do with the way the other male looked at him. The words that the snake spoke to him, made him smile just a little bit as he said softly, "I guess you could say that." Andol hadn't heard a more ture statement in a long time, but still even with the bullying and Draco being gone... he always tried his best to keep his chin up.

"Thanks Will, I won't ever forget this." Where the words that softly drifted form Andol's lips as he took hold of the reptilian hand. Getting up off the floor the youth took a second to get his legs under him, becuase they where still a bit shaky form what had happened only moments eariler. He smiled back softly at Will as he realized that he could indeed help out the snake, almost immedantly at the mention of the other being lost, "Well I can help you there Will if you would like. I guess you can tell that this wasn't the first time this has happened, and really the most the nurse does is give me a ice pack to put over the spots that hurts. After she makes sure there isn't nothing more serious wrong. So it really shouldn't take long, and then I can show you wherethe admissions office is. The two places are actually pretty close together... plus after that I could even help you find your dorm if you would like?" He smiled softly at the snake hoping that the larger male would accept his offer for some help.

Slipping the ring back on his finger made him think back to the times that Draco and him had hung out as a couple around Will. They had never really kissed in fornt of the snake, but the other male might have been surpised to learn that the couple hadn't even kissed in the entire time they had been together. It mostly had to do with the fact they where trying to take things slowly, and Andol had always been so nervous about such things. Plus had he known that them acting so lovey dovey around the snake had bothered him... then Andol would probably have asked his favorite dragon to tone things down abit. He started to walk down one of the halls and looked back at the snake saying, "Come on Will... the nurses office is this way." So the young man began to walk down towards the nurses office with the snake beside him... and it wasn't until they reached the door of the nurses office that he remembered somthing, "Hey Will could you not tell her who did this. I have been keeping it a secert becusae I really don't want things to get worse for me." He then knocked on the door to see if Ms. Lin the panda who was the school nurse was inside.

Pleased the boy seemed able to walk without much difficulty he followed after him. He made sure to memorize every turn they made so he wouldn’t get lost yet again. It was harder then expected every hallway looked exactly the same. His head was already beginning to hurt. “My old school had signs on the hallways to let us know where everything was.” He grumbled as they approached the nurse’s office and as much as he didn’t want to he agreed to not tell her that Leo had been the source of his injuries. He doubted there would be much trouble with the lion now that Will was looking out for Andol but one could never be too careful he supposed. Some anthros were given special treatment at schools because of their instincts.

The nurse was a lovely little raccoon name Natalie; she was pleasantly plump with bright brown eyes. “Again Andol?” she said her voice laced with concern. “Come in, Come in.” she ushered both teens into the sterile office. “I don’t suppose you saw anything?” she questioned as she looked at the snake. “The silly boy won’t tell me who’s bullying him so I can’t do anything other then make sure they didn’t break anything.” Will shrugged slightly rubbing the back of his neck. “I only got there after the fact Ms. I’m sorry.” She tsked and gave her head a shake. “He asked you not to I expect well I can’t force you to tell me.” She went to the freezer and pulled out several ice packs wrapping them in towels. “I’ll get you a couple of aspirin alright?”

Half an hour later both boys were ushered back out of the room and down the hall to the admissions office. It was a beautiful glass enclosed room with a human secretary typing away. She smiled when she noticed Will. “We were wondering when you were going to make your way here. Welcome to our school.” She handed the snake a packet of papers. “The top one is your dorm and locker number, the bottom one is your class list and rules of the school.” He thanked the woman and began to look through the papers with a great deal of interest. “Hey Andol where is this room?” he said pointing to his dorm number.

((I wasn’t sure if you wanted them to end up being roommates or have separate single rooms.))

Andol walked slowly to make sure that the snake was able to follow him, but also so that the other male would be able to have time to get used to the school. He remember his first day here also, when the young man had needed to get used to all the twist and turns that made up the school hall ways, and not only that... he had always noticed that there was certianly a lack of guides to a person get around the school at any time of the day. He once thought about suggesting that the Class Goverment try and get the school to put up guide signs around, and being the captian of the Chess team he was a voting member. Oh well... the young man figured he could at least help his friend Will get around, "Yeah sorry about that, but this place is a lot smaller than it looks form the outside, so you get used it really really quick. If you want I can meet after your classes for a week or two to kind of show you around if you would like that Will?" Anything to help a friend really... plus Andol didn't have a busy schedule this semster.

When they entered the nurses office Andol waved to the racoon the instant that saw them both and said in a voice that sounded slightly gulity, "Hey there Ms. Natalie..." He always felt guilty about not telling the raccoon the full details, but bullies had a way of making things worse on a person when they got told on. So he came in and sat down in the chair that she always ushered him to whenever he came in, in this condintion... and just sat down quitely and looked over at Will with a look that pleaded for the snake to not say anything. Which thankful the other didn't, and to Andol... this was somthing that the young man would remember, becuase he knew that he could trust the snake. He was gald when she finally brought him the ice and the aspirin and he put those on himself and said to the raccoon softly, "Thank you Ms. Natalie..." And it wasn't long after that in which they where out the door and heading off the addmissions office again.

The two where indeed quite close together and in a way Andol was gald that it was the weekend sinice it ment that he would be able to hang out with the snake the rest of the day and help him get settled in. He hoped that maybe there rooms would be close to each other, especially because it was rare for people to stick the anthro's in the same rooms as humans. Usally those who did where couples or friends who had requested it. So when she handed over to the snake the sheet, and Andol saw the number his eyes grew very wide, "Oh wow Will... hey that is my room too. It looks like we are going to be roomates buddy." The young man smiled up at the snake with this soft and happy look on his face. Gald that he would have someone around now to be his friend. "Hey follow me and I will show you to our room..." This time he reach out and absent mindly took the serpent by the hand and lead him along the hall ways and to the dorm rooms. Luckily no one saw them, becuase Andol did make himself look kind of silly... though it didn't take them long to reach there destination and very quickly Will would find himself standing in fornt of the dorm room number 358, as Andol opened the door slowly and said, "Welcome home Will."
