Yin and Yang
Light and Dark
Life and Death
Soul and Heart
Evil and Good
Coexist Peacefully
Balance, Tranquility
Or Pain and Misery
Each life has this balance
It has many names
In many cases
It keeps us sane
But ignorance runs rampant
That bonds that bind that balance
Are slowly crumbling
Humanities Talent
Destroying things, left and right
Robbing them of their sensory and sight
Who are they, to separate dark and light?
They weep, they cry, holding each other tight.
Who are they, the ones that sigh
In angst and misery as they slowly die
Because they cannot live without each other
In one place they were meant to hover
Slowly they split farther and farther away
Their distance from each other growing each day
The chain was not meant to be so taut
And so eventually the resistance began to rot
Oh Yin and Yang
That chain that held you together
The one that represented balance
It could not last forever
And so eventually, it snaps
If the world would listen they could hear your screams
As slowly you are forced apart
And once its quiet it would seem
That everything is fine, life can keep going
Without that chain of balance that held you so close
You wither away and die like a parasite without its host
But, lo there, you are reborn
However, without each other you feel torn
Dark, evil, yang, Death
Will grow strong and resilient with every mortal breath
Although its sibling is a different story
Life, Yin, Good, Light
Will grow weaker with every passing night
And the world will fall into evermore chaos
Humanity will cease to exist just as the balance did.
