Small cries, cries of a young child echoed through the fire engulfed ruins. fire cackled around the small elven girl who remained siting next to a pair of dead bodies. Her knees drawn tightly into her chest as she buried her face into blood stained skirts. Her green eyes large as they peer blurred by tears to the dead bodies before her. There was no point in going on. why didn't they kill her to? That was a question that floated through the young child's mind.

The smoke was choking her, she knew that she would so pass to join her parents. Blinking through the burn of the smoke. Her head clouding along with her vision. Before her cries grew quiet. Still raking threw her body. Everything was so warm, hot against her as she slowly uncoiled from her tight little ball. Her world beginning to haze over as she gives a few coughs.

Her lungs burned, the smoke suffocating her. Whimpering softly she laid down to the heated ground, so close to her parents dead bodies, her own becoming drenched in the warm sticky heat of there blood. She couldn't keep her eyes open no longer. Slipping into an unconscious state.

Gasping out Avalynn shot up in a sitting position. Her eyes growing wide. As she looked around panting. It was just a dream. Her heart was beating frantically in her chest. No it wasn't some nightmare, but in sense it was. It was her past when she was but a child. Her eyes looked around the dark den, to the darkness outside. It was still dark out.She fell back against the furs that made up her bed. Her eyes closing, she wondered where he was. She could use some comfort. "Where are you? I don't sense you near"

-as the girl awake from her dreams, covering sweat and slightly trembling in fear, her thoughts shouted out into the forest seeking him. as he slowly replied, his words seeping into her head like slow molasses on a cold day- "you... are aware that..... i can hide my ..... presence correct....?"-he replied to her as his presence quickly became known, his essence swelling and amassing just on the other side of the house. his body quickly forming into that of a large cat, roughly the size and a half of a Siberian tiger, its black and white fur pattern as well, his ears were pointed like that of a linx, there little tuffs of black fur standing out.

as the beast began to wlakaround the building, the sound of his large padded fet crumping dried, dead leaved under foot as he made his way around, nuzzling his head into the entrance of her house. merely by pushing the curtain she covered it with out of the way.- "was it that dream again? you seem to be having bad nightmares lately." -he replied as he slipped his body into the room, walking threw the first room into her bedroom. taking up the rest of the room's space that wasn't furniture or the bed.-

Right she knew that, But didn't mean she was used to him doing it.Her eyes were closed. It wasn't a dream but in sense it was one. Her heart grew steady within her chest as it calmed from the frantic race it had been sent into. "I am sorry. Its just I dunno why you hide it from me still. I got scared. I am sorry" She whispered into his mind as she fell back against the furs. Her eyes focused on the roof, as her hands dragged up make shift blanket. From what it felt like it was still early morning and she had but a few hours of sleep. Groaning she rolled to face the opening of there home.

the dream its always the dream. On and off for past years. "It wasn't a dream, just the past that decided to come haunt me again. The day when you found me near lifeless in the village ruins."She said softly watching as he entered the room. It had bee some years, when she was but a child of six years old. she was now just hitting maturity. A grown elven woman. Licking her lower lip she could feel the change within her already taking effect.

-he watched, his eyes looking up and down her as he yawned silently, licking his muzzling with his tongue as he gummed his jaw, stretching it.- "yes that's right, if i hadn't felt the fire in the forest, you would never have survived. though i was to late to save any one else. am at least happy to have saved someone." - lowering his head as he picked up his jaw, his shoulder bones protruding upwards. his tail lazily brushed back and forth on the ground as he shifted his sitting pose to something more comfortable.-

"its fine, things have changed alot since that day, and i dought any one knows that your even here, let alone alive for that matter." --licking at his paw, his brought tongue gliding over the tops of his paw as he cleaned in-between his fingers, turning it around as he cleaned the dirt off of his pads. switching paws as he proceeded to do the same thing to his other paw.-
