As Tara sat in the executor's office, the man sitting behind the desk simply stared at her, having long since lost his sense of pity for those that came in after years of greedy in laws, overly depressed parents or children, and those that were honestly non caring about the person who had just passed. This girl in front of him was one who seemed to be sad, though not bawling her eyes out. It was a bit of a change of pace for him as he took out a letter opener and began to cut open the envelope. "understand Miss Logan, that any words I may say are quoted verbatum from what your mother has written here, and in no way express my own opinions of your disheartening situation." He said simply as he unfolded the paper and began reading through, the usual politeness and "if you are being read this then i'm no longer able to be with you..." speech. He then got to the part that would surprise her the most. "I'm sorry I never told you this, but I have kept in touch somewhat with your biological father. When you were born, we both came to an agreement when I kept custody of you, that if anything were to happen to me before you turned 21, then he would assume custody of you until then, or you moved out. His name is Kain Ferron." At the moment he read this even the executor blinked and shook his head a little, looking at the girl. Kain Ferron was one of the richest men in the nation, as well as CEO of the nation's largest pharmaceutical companies.
