Symsaga was the ultimate MMO, a completely immersive semi realistic environment. It had miions of players worldwide and was one of the most profitable business ventures ever attempted. But it also came with it's disadvantages. The advanced technology in the virtual realityreally wasn't tested as well as it should be, and when it screwed up there were miions of users, thousands of critics, and hundreds of competitors waiting in the wings to tear a piece off of the massive Symsaga profit machine.
Which was what the admins were for. They were Symsaga Inc. employees with avatars in the game and special powers within the game universe that allowed them to deal with difficulties that cropped up inside the system. She ported into the Mountains of Sorrow, one of the less popular play areas. A girl had attested that some of the monsters had actually attempted to rape her avatar. Which should not happen.
Her outfit fit in perfectly hyper stylized medieval theme of of Symsaga. Her gear was Sorcer Class, but her stats in the game were the top possible, and she could change her class on a whim. She might need to; unless she decided to use her admin powers, the monsters she was looking for, Red Ogres, were actually stated to fight characters of her level. And of course, glitched or hacked monsters sometimes resisted admin powers.
The Mountains of Sorrow were a mash of rocky paths winding into dull, gray, rainy, monster-infested mountains.
