Garund usually wears his studded leather armor, which is fairly unique because of the manica which protects his left arm. He also usually wears a kilt and short sleeved tunic under the armor. He wears hobnailed boots which go up to just below his knees and are reinforced with steel plates on the top as well as the shins. He often wears a dark grey full cloak.

  • Shady Contacts: Throughout their life this character has made numerous..less than reputable contacts. They know people..lots..and lots..and lots of people; They know a man for any specific job, and as such they can likely find out anything they want about anyone and anything they want. Also, they are less likely to be attacked by bandits, thieves, thugs and the likes. Finally, they get more options and pay less money at thief fences.

  • Stone-Heart: Dwarves have an additional 3 strength and constitution, and an additional 1 dexterity. They also, however, lose 3 cunning.
  • Withdrawal of the Fade: Through living so far underground for hundreds of years, Dwarves are no longer capable of using magic as they once did. On the same note however, they take less damage from enemy magics and devices using magic. They also lose ten points in magic.
  • Determination: If one thing is to be said for this person, it is that they are incredibly determined. If they set their mind on it, they will die or the deed will be done, there is simply no other option. Thanks to this they have added constitution and willpower, whilst also being capable of withstanding great amounts of damage and torture without their body shutting down. Also, they can withstand a good amount of taunting and annoyance before snapping.
  • Weaponmaster: This character is more talented with weapons that most his/her age range. As such, they are allowed to use another weapon/weapon combo from the start.
  • Lethario: This character is a bit of an expert betwix the thighs, if one knows what one means. With this they open up a new option in conversation with NPC'S to perform sexual actions even when others cannot, or should not.
  • Mark of the Legion: Life in the Legion of the Dead is difficult, but those who manage to survive develop great fortitude, gaining large (+10) bonuses to strength and constitution.

Garund is not the typical dwarven noble. He spent more time amongst the lower castes, learning from them as well as trying to see to their well being. This did not endear him to many nobles, even members of his own house. When he left to become a member of the Legion of the Dead, that sense of charity never left him. He also isn't one to be pessimistic, rather he lives life to the fullest, since he never knows when or where he might fall in battle. He is quiet amongst company he is not familiar with, but once he gets to know you he can be quite the conversationalist.

Answer: Garund is adapt with dual wielding weapons (usually his falcata and a handaxe). His other notable style of fighting is brawling. Having spent time amongst the lower castes and in the Provings, he has learned how to fight well without a weapon. Garund is also adept at throwing his weapons (axe and dagger).

Part 2: History
Garund was born in Orzammar to Bemo and Orta of house Ortan. As the second oldest son he was well provided for and his childhood was fairly regimented, but not as much as his older brother's was. He would often sneak out to spend time with other children and, far more then once, his father or one of the members of the warrior caste serving his family would have to drag him home from Dust Town. It was during one such visit to Dust Town that Garund was assailed by, of all things, a nug. The creature came at him, teeth bared, and he barely managed to fight it off. Ever since then he has hatted nugs with a passion. Garund proved, to his parents' delight, to be something of a prodigy when it came to weapons. He shunned the use of shields, much preferring to wield two weapons at once. When Garund was twenty four his father was found in a market, a poisoned knife left in his back. This greatly affected Garund who came to believe that the best way to be safe on Orzammar was to learn the ways of such unhonorable fighting himself.

At the young age of thirty six Garund entered his first Proving. Like many first timers he did not make it to the championship, but he made it into the last eight. He quickly became a favorite among many of the young nobles for this. Soon he entered another Proving, this time being in the final four. Within two years he had won his first Proving, with a second and third following quickly. With his fame he formed a group of other young nobles around himself (calling them the Fellowship) ones who agreed on his progressive views about the castes. Not only were they becoming a political force, but when there were several Darkspawn incursions, they fought together, proving to be a fairly portent military force as well. This worried many members of the nobility. His fate was sealed.

Garund was brought before the king and the heads of the noble houses. He had thought he was finally going to be heard, but instead he found that he was being put on trial for encouraging unrest, violating the castes and treason. Knowing well what this might do to his family Garund took the honorable option; he informed the King that, in face of the accusations, he would instead give his life over to the Legion of the Dead. The Legion was informed and, two days later, they welcomed him into their ranks. He walked out of Orzammar for the last time. Garund spent years in the Deep Roads, fighting shoulder to shoulder with his brothers and sisters of the Legion of the Dead. He entombed many of them in the stone and came close to dying more then once, but the Paragons never came to claim him.

Just three years ago the Legion began to notice something strange; that there were fewer and fewer Darkspawn encroaching upon the more heavily patroled areas of the Dark Roads and even that there were fewer in the less patrolled areas. The Legion had seen signs like this before and knew all to well what it meant; there was about to be a Blight on the surface. Typically they would not have cared, but presence of more progressive minds in the Legion (Garund being one of them) caused the Legion to decide to send a scouting party to the surface... consisting of Garund, by himself.

Other: Unfortunately very, very average looking for an athletic framed individual.

Valin can usually be seen walking, or running, in a set of heavy armor. The interlocking iron plates are dark of color, almost black while the cloth and leather aspects are a simple shade of bark brown. A simple grey travelers cloak is never too far from his side should the weather prove to be less than favorable.

Thanks to this they have added constitution and willpower, whilst also being capable of withstanding great amounts of damage and torture without their body shutting down. Mmm, Elves: Since childhood this person has had a rather..unnatural obsession with Elven females. As to this they know more of them than most humans, and thanks to this they not only do more damage to elves, they take less damage from them. Also, this person can choose different conversation options with elven women and..certain elven men of varying disposition. Finally, they're notable epic in bed if you're an elf..if that helps? [Passive]

Lethario: You damn whore.. This character is a noted lethario, and now has more options to choose in conversation with sexually-open characters. Also, they're pretty damn good in bed too. [Passive]

Valin is a bit of a background person tending to do his best work when someone else is command. Though it has been said that every so often he exudes an aura that manages to uplift the spirits of those he fights along side. Valin is rather poised and easy going, a very hard figure to shake or rattle with words alone but at times can appear a bit too timid or stand offish. He also has a sense of humor and although strange at times will usually attempt to lighten the mood if he can. Though not always with the best of jokes. Valin also has a romantic heart and enjoys the company of others, particularly women. And although he very much enjoys any rare opportunity between the sheets he would much rather spend that intimate time with a special woman, though that hasn't happened yet.

How does --- fight?

Answer:
Valin has become overly accustomed to wielding his greatsword, and manages to use it with a surprising amount of skill and grace. He can fight well by himself but shows more of his talents when he is with a group or at least one other person. In uncompromising circumstances he has learned to use his hands and a dagger though isn't as great with the weapon as the situation usually calls for.

Part 2: History

Though born in Oswick, Valin knows absolutely nothing about his former homeland. At least the city itself. A child of an adventuring father and tailor mother Valin spent much of his life amongst the smaller towns and villages just outside the city. Valin would spend much of his time around the house with books and small wooden sticks hitting at the local fences pretending he was a noble warrior prince from some fairytale or story book that captivated much of his attention as a young lad. Although knowing nothing about the city itself he would always escape into the confines of the city walls in order to visit his one and only friend Orana. Orana was an elf from the alienage and had a like minded sensibility for fantasy and make believe. Valin met Orana when his mother made a rare trip to the city shops and ran into the girl escaping some bullies that followed her. He tripped one of them and from there Orana and Valin became almost inseparable. Except for the city limits.

As the two grew their bond became even stronger. Till the point came where Valin developed deeper feelings for Orana and as did she. On the night that he was about to propose he found that the alienage had been attacked by a small group of men. He made his way through the newly created ruins to see the dead bodies of Orana and the rest of her family pools of blood dripping around them. The horror caused Valin to lose a small part of himself that very night and couldn't stand the sight of the dreadful city any longer. He had been planning on joining the town guard and had been training ferociously in the art of combat with two handed weapons. The death of his best friend and unrequited love only spurred him onward, but he wanted nothing more to do with the city or even the town where he lived. At the age of 20 he set sail for Ferehelden, living a modest life as a traveler and wandering sword for "hire" making his services open to any town or city that needed extra hands for a fight or for any other task. As the times grew darker and darker with yet another blight making itself known to the world he made his way with many of the other survivors to Orlias where he still sells his services as a sword but with a new purpose: To do whatever he can to get the world back to a neutral state again.

Hair: So blonde, it's almost white, though toward the ends it appears to be auburn. The length is nearly to her waist. She wears it differently often.

Other: Tattoo's much like the Dalish had, though hers start on the back of her neck and cover her entire back, to her waist, over along to her hips and down the sides of her legs to her ankles.

Whilst this passively allows them to pick more herbs and spices for potions and poisons, which they craft with added skill. This also allows them to track enemies in areas not man-made, such as forests and warrens. Finally, those with the hunter spec and this skill with always have stronger creatures under their command. Trade Skill(s):
Valid Tradesman: Be it through their good looks, or perhaps awful looks, or be it through sheer amazing talent, this person is a very good trader; At lawful stalls and places of business this person can get weapons, armor and items cheaper than any of the other characters, as well as sell their goods for higher prices. Those of the Bow: Elves are naturally talented in the ways of hunting, particularly the feat of archery. Amongst Thedas' archers the Dalish are considered the very greatest, outdone by no Man, Qunari or Dwarf. As to this this character receives less damage from bows, gives more damage with bows, and can fire longer than others from a standing position. [Passive]

One with the Fade: Dalish elves are noted to be extraordinarily talented in the ways of magic, and as such this character is given 3 points in magic. Also, they have increased skill with creation of magical potions and traps as well as disarming them. [Passive]


Friend of the Animal's: This character can easily perform a skill that even the most powerful mage cannot; They can talk to animals. Not in a telepathy or vocal way, but they know what animals mean through simple gestures and their animalistic speech, and as such can decipher this speech for their own purposes. [Passive]

Siralai is quiet, though not withdrawn; once she warms up to you, she is very friendly and a touch flirtatious. She is very adept and a quick learner, always wanting to improve herself whenever possible. She hates all things evil, tends to be morally good, and loves wolves, an affinity to them she doesn't fully understand but that allows her to be an exceptional Ranger.

How does --- fight?

Answer: In the Alienage she is referred to as 'The Piercing Eye' due largely to her ability to never miss a target with her bow, at nearly any range, her wolf companion fighting at the close range. If she herself is dragged into close combat, she will use daggers along side of her wolf. She is primarily more than efficient long range support.
Part 2: History

Her father was murdered by darkspawn when traveling beyond city limits when she was ten. At eleven, her best friend, an orphaned kitten, went missing after she had saved him from bullies. She became morally good because of a lot of the crime that would happen amongst the survivors in the Alienage. She learned very early on how to wield a bow, and use daggers, before finally being able to summon a wolf to her side when she needed aide. She has often been scolded for 'taking matters into her own hands' when she found sufficient actions were lacking against crimes. She spends and has spent a lot of time in the woods, honing her skills, and bonding with wild life still remains. There is not a whole lot of history to her, as she spent as much time as she could to train and keep an eye for trouble.

She has never fallen in love and she doesn't intend for it to happen, though we all know we have no control over the heart. Ismal was born to a rather high class family which lived just outside of town. His natural talents for magic were seen at a extremely early age, and he was given over to train these skills. He was given to a old retired teacher who had decided to teach the young student, as he had taught his father before, his father's untimely death. He grew into a talented young man quickly, traveling the countryside with his teacher, learning all that he could during this time period.

He growth in abilities went oddly mostly unnoticed by others, maybe cause his teacher was no in the right inner circles of the important people. He thus had no employer to go to when he finished his training, and continued it as long as possible, traveling the countryside. Now mostly by himself trying to learn more and become more competent in his own abilities as he went along.

Nature Proficiency: This character is totally at-home with nature. They heal more, give more, and take less damage with and from nature spells including those of the Keeper path, Primal and First paths.

Feminine Wiles: One of the practices trained during the final trainings to become a First is conversation and using ones feminine wiles to gain an advantage in combat and conversation. As such, Alianae is capable of using these elven good-looks to open up new conversation options with most people.
Sourness: This person hides their true personality, abilities and powers under a shield of faux-sourness. They are rather difficult to discern as to this, and thanks to this they are capable of performing certain actions in conversation that others cannot.

Alianae's true personality is almost entirely hidden. She is polite, yet sadistic and seems to enjoy things that other people dislike immensely. She is obviously exceedingly intelligent with a high I.Q, and can easily discern other persons personality and flaws through simple conversation and such. She is the kind of person who can decide if he likes or dislikes a person just from a quick conversation, then never speak to them again for a great amount of time because of it.

She is generally kind and helpful and it is said to be highly difficult to descern not only what Alianae's thoughts are, but also her motives. She is the kind of person that nobody can really decide about; Is she really that nice, is she playing on false morals to hide her actual personality for her own gain, is she doing so to hide her tortured past!? ..Or is she just an ass.


Despite those odd personality flaws she seems to have a very hard time with harsh behaviour, rudeness, and loutish behavious. She is usually calm and pensive, passive to a point and will never raise her voice nor show any form of anger nor weakness, even if inside she is quite angry inside; She is a master at disguising her true thoughts, feeling and motives, and nobody in the world is capable of figuring these out. Despite her narcissistic nature, Alianae can acknowledge her mistakes, though hardly ever -learns- from these mistakes; She thinks she is always right which most of the time is true, though obviously sometimes not.

How does --- fight?

He usually tries to keep out of fights, mainly because he wants to stay out of focus. If he fights he likes to initiate it himself, using stealth or a trick to get close to them, and stab the first to death.
When he actually gets into a fight he's grace itself and fights with the grace of a dancer (and the dirty tricks and underhanded attacks of a sports player). Even though he's a rogue he likes to be in the middle of the fight, though he would still prefer trickery over fighting.
His throwing daggers are mainly used to distract, as easy to hide knives, and assassination tools, over actually using them as weapons.

Part 2: History

He doesn't know where he was born, and his first memories were of his 'sister'. She was just another girl in the alienage of Denerim, 10 years old when he was four, and though he didn't look like anybody there, and he himself thought he was from a group of dalish or something, she took him in as her little brother. They were both orphans on the streets, and soon learned to fend for himself. After he found a way out of the alienage when he was seven he started getting more off the right track, and was the criminal youth of his group. He soon had gotten friends in all the town, mostly orphans and alienage children.

With them he made life a bit harder for the rich people, mainly the ones who were snobs. He had soon made a name for himself as the Little Leprechaun, because of his length at the time. The lives of most, if not all, orphans and alienage people had become better. Then, he turned thirteen.

Two years ago he dove up in Orlais, as a wizard, or so he posed. He used potions, bombs, devices and trickery to leave people to believe he was a wizard in a place far away from the circle, so without mages. He managed to gain quite some wealth there, as he was often invited into the houses of wealthy people, and invited himself into the purses of other ones. When the blight started he got the first horse to safety, and now is in the only safe haven left on earth.

Sorry, I think I must have misread something, but I read, I quote ''Razikale's power was so great that even the heroes of Fereldan could not stop him, and he destroyed most of the country in a matter of days.". and if you say that since fifty years ago, there is no Ferelden, then it's somewhat contradictory.
 
Urm. How is that contradictory at all? Ferelden was destroyed fifty years ago and has not been rebuilt.
 
You said Razikale came to this world fifty years after the ending of DAII, and that is when that part happens, right? But how can he destroy it, if it's already destroyed, and not rebuilt, fifty years ago?
 
No..he was the one who destroyed it. He started the sixth blight and because of Hawke's death nobody could stop him. Now stop argument for two seconds.

Herbalism: There was a reason Kal's mother always kept a potted Elfroot plant in the house. She taught him how to make a few basic remedies to heal himself.

Poison-Making- Sometimes you just need an edge in battle. He's had to come up with edge after edge to go ahead and get the advantage over foes before, and just sees it as part of living.

Coercion: Kal has had to talk his way out of situations before (cornered by guards, short a few silver on equipment, short of cash at a tavern, convincing a bunch of shems that he has no money) and (attempted) to talk himself into others (women's beds, tents, estates, other places he really shouldn't have access to). Life in the alienage is really all about who you can convince to help you sometimes.

Based upon his past, Kalrien has tried to stay away from large groups of humans. He gets a little fidgety when confronted with them, and tends to be more than a little wary when they approach him. When he’s relaxed- mostly around friends and people he thinks he can trust, he lets his guard down. Once that happens, he usually tends to crack jokes and shake his head, offering advice (honed through years of living on his feet) wether it’s warranted or not.


When it comes to the Dalish, however, he wants to learn as much as he can- he grew up listening to his mother’s tales of the woods, and an opportunity to learn more of her culture is something he’d do just about anything for- the chance to join a clan, and be accepted would be something that may change his life forever.

5. They were attacked by local thugs and injured. The injuries healed, yet the horror they experienced still stands.

How does --- fight?

Answer:

Depending on the situation, he could fight one of three different ways.

1) Archery- he would make a fine archer, firing either from afar or closer to battle, loosing his arrows into melee and distant targets.

2) Twin Weapons- he’d take his sword and dagger and go to town, sacrificing defensive power for agility and striking power.

3) If he needs it, he knows the basics of using a shield, and can pair one with his sword to try and push the enemy back.

He would fit in either in the back, guarding casters and archers from melee foes, or assisting them in picking off other threats, or he could frontline, taking down opponents with blades that seem to find the best places to bury themselves on some unlucky darkspawn or other opponent.


Part 2: History
-----

The result of a dalliance between a Dalish huntress and a human woodsman, Kalrien doesn’t know his father (according to what his mother claims, he was killed by another of her clan on his way to meet her one night). Banished away from her clan because she refused to kill the child when it was born, she made her way to a nearby city that she couldn’t really pronounce the name of. Quickly ushered along by a few elven servants, she found herself in the Alienage, and was given a place to live.

A few months later, she gave birth to Kalrien, surrounded by the women of the alienage. Right off the bat, he looked different- instead of a nice, firm point on the tip, his came to a more rounded point, one that established his father as human.

The other children of the alienage wouldn’t even come near him- it was as if he was infected with something, something that would have caused their ears to crumple and round off like his.

Meanwhile, his mother quickly became the biggest thorn in the side of the town’s nobles, with her Dalish heritage shining through as she refused to be cowed through threats. She once unleashed a bow shot that sang through the air and thunked between a fat merchant’s legs, stopping him from striking his elven servant.

“I don’t miss. If you lay a hand upon her again, I will aim four hands higher. You would not be interested in her ever again.”

It would prove to be her undoing.

One day, she simply… disappeared. Kalrien would come home and end up finding the door knocked off its hinges and the house ransacked.

His mother’s bed was a mess, covered in blood and a strange other fluid.

Before he could process any more of the scene, one of the village women decided to investigate the scene- and ended up screaming so loud that the whole alienage came running. He was bundled off to someone else’s home while the rest of the village cleaned the house and waited for the inevitable.

A week later, her body was found dumped outside the alienage gate. It was obvious she’d been put through hell before she died.

The only thing that Kal ever learned about the way his mother died was that she was killed by a bunch of drunken shemlen- humans, the elves explained.

With nowhere else to go, he waited a few days while the house was repaired, and for years, lived alone, subsisting off the graciousness of others.

When he reached his teens, well, he discovered- or rather was discovered- by a young maiden from the opposite side of the alienage. She’d been watching him for a while, and the two spent their time talking- when they weren’t working. He’d gotten ahold of some old weapons that had “fallen out of a crate”, and spent his days practicing.

One day, he was busy practicing when he heard a scream- one that he’d know everywhere. He raced forth, weapons in hand, to find a gang of humans having cornered his friend. He would bellow in rage, and leapt on to one of the closest, laying him open with the dagger before the knew what had happened. There were at least eight of them however, and after a while, they had managed to get the weapons from him.

There’s not much he really remembers after that point- pain, and fighting, and faintly seeing his friend scamper free, back into her house with but a look back at him.

It wasn’t broken up by guards until he’d actually began to have some success in fighting back.

He never saw his friend again- her family had chosen to leave the city, instead of stay where she would obviously be in danger yet again. But the memory would last forever- he’d never be able to go near a group of humans ever again- he’d always see the group that nearly killed him.

With her gone, he soon turned into a “good little knife-ears” and worked himself to the bone- taking on work that the humans didn’t want to do, but at the same time, considered too important for an elf to do. He’s spent his last few years just eking out a living on the scraps he’s thrown.

But he remembers the stories his mother told him- he’d love to meet a true Dalish elf, and even try to join their clan, if he could. His mother spoke of the day she got her bloodwriting with as much pride as she could manage, and he wishes to do right by her memory.
