Ah the days seemed to go by so slow when you are teaching something you don't like he thought to himself calmly, right now he was teaching the last class of the day for his students but he would rather be napping somewhere as he needed a bit of rest or at least a bit of excitement. As to who this teacher was well that would be Drake Ornami or as he let his students call him Mr. D or Mr. O. He was the only teacher there that was different and that was in more ways than one, everyone else on staff was completely human down to their hearts. Drake on the other hand was a hybrid or anthro as they classified him as, his body broad and powerful his skin hidden under a pelt of white fur and black stripes running over the whiteness. His eyes held cat like features and a yellow color to them, a powerful tail swished around behind him, he was the only nonhuman teacher here and his species was that of a white tiger and a human mixed together to create him. His exact teaching position was that of history, right now they were in the times where humans were alone on the planet or so they thought, anthros or hybrids had come out a few years ago to the public eye to show humans were not the only existence out there. The uproar and rumors flew by with increasing rates making things worse and worse, eventually rational heads prevailed and anthros were given their rights just as the humans were. While he was the only teacher here without a human appearance there were several students in his class alone that were not considered human, some were half breeds not quite anthro but not human either.
Besides being a hybrid he was also a very unconventional teacher, there were no books in his class besides those for taking notes, he hated textbooks they were boring and anyone with half a brain could read them. "So what we got out of all of this being that anthros or hybrid whichever term you prefer to call them, was that humans were not the only intelligent race out there, and in fact that there are those that rival them" he said in a deep but gentle tone to his class now. His broad frame was wrapped in a black sports jacket with a white tee shirt underneath it, and he actually had the audacity to wear black jeans to class. He had been reprimanded for his clothing choices several times by the principal who wanted to fire him but couldn't because Drake got his results quite easily, all you had to do was treat the kids like that had some intelligence and they would respond. "So basically what we learned is that there are dumb people no matter where you go" he said jokingly, his class gave a little laugh as he went on in the impromptu lecture. There were about five minutes left in the class and he clapped his hands now, everyone started to put away their notebooks knowing what that meant "okay cellphones and ipads or ipods or whatever you want for the last five minutes of school but remember if you get caught I didn't know about it" he said with a grin on his lips now. No one could leave the class until he said so, after all he was still a teacher and he liked to be in control, he sat down in his chair and let out a deep breath happy to see that the school day was coming to a close.
(Hope that's okay, my mind was kind blegh for starting xD.)
