Andrea stretched slightly as she walked home after staying late at the school library, rubbing at her head softly. Another day of school, another day of near misses. Every day was a challenge to keep to herself, try not to get noticed and make sure that her little, or perhaps not so little, secret remained exactly that, a secret. Andrea had been born...different...from other girls, given something just a little bit extra on her body. Sure...sometimes it was rather enjoyable....but most of the time it was nothing but a curse, restricting her life and making her into a recluse. Still...maybe one day she'd find someone that would understand....some man or woman that would understand and care for her for who she was...perhaps even embrace her freakish body....though the girl didn't expect that to be anytime soon.
With a sigh, the girl stopped and adjusted her glasses, slowly looking up at the sky, then blinking. "Hm? A shooting star.....heh...maybe I should make a wish..." She smiled softly, something she didn't do very often. "I wish I could find someone who wouldn't think of me as a freak...who wont judge my body...." She sighed, knowing it was childish to be wishing on a shooting star. But then....she noticed something. This shooting star was getting....bigger? No...not bigger, closer...it was getting...closer! "Wait...that's not a shooting star...oh god something's falling!" Her eyes widened as she realised not only was something falling, it was falling towards her! Quickly the girl scrambled, a loud whistling noise beginning to sound overhead as she dove into a side alley. Seconds later, whatever it was struck the ground, smashing into the road and ripping up the tarmac for a good hundred feet, before finally seeming to come to a stop.
Andrea slowly removed her arms from her head, then peeked out of the alleyway. This was a rather isolated part of town, so nobody else was around. "What....was that....?" She knew she should leave, or call the police, but curiosity got the better of her. Slowly, Andrea began to walk down the street, following the ripped up path of tarmac.
When she got close, Andrea spotted what looked like some kind of metal capsule or pod, smoke coming from it, no surprise as it was probably burning hot from falling through the atmosphere. "O-oh god....is it....no...it doesn't look like a satellite..." Whatever this thing was definately didn't look terrestrial. Andrea couldn't help herself as she slowly got closer, leaning over the side of the crater that the pod now rested in. "H-hello...?"
