So, I've recently started to play Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2 again after getting a bit of spare time and after playing for a while I decided I wanted to see if I could gather some others and perhaps create a little roleplay of our own.
The story starts around fifty years after the time of 'The Warden' and 'Hawke' each defeated a blight, and since then Thedas has grown stronger thanks to the good deeds that both had spread. All seemed well, until on the exact day of the death of the continents saviour, Hawke, a horde of darkspawn lead by a massive archdemon by the name of 'Razikale' the Old God of Mystery.
'Razikale's power was so great that even the heroes of Fereldan could not stop him, and he destroyed most of the country in a matter of days. Those that survived the sacking of it's cities and the murder of it's people fled, yet only one place was safe; An ancient elven alienage called 'Kall'atha' in the land of Orlais. Here, thousands of people stowed away, hiding in dark, cramped ruins in the middle of a great forest, itself surrounded by mountains. Momentarily The Blight could not touch them, by each day the sky darkened and word of more countries being crushed under-foot of a great dragon harkened upon their ears.
And so begins the Sixth Blight; But..will this be the final destruction of
Thedas, or will a new hero arise to stop the Archdemon Razikale?'
Okay, so I didn't say it was fantastic. Either way, here are some notes on the Roleplay.
Timeline: As state before this roleplay takes place exactly fifty years after the ending of Dragon Age 2, so around fifty-five years after The Warden sacrifices herself to stop the last blight.
Characters: We will need six characters, those are the main heroes and one will be the 'main' character; That is, the newest Warden, or perhaps a person with a special bloodline ability to kill darkspawn, similar to Hawke. If more than six wish to join, then we'll have to add others on to the six; I don't mind having a big group, it makes sense actually.
Races: The main three races are accepted in this roleplay; Humans, Elves and Dwarves. However, the Kossith; That is the race Sten and most Qunari are from; is also playable. Custom races, however, are not. Sorry.
Class: Classes are used here just like in-game. warriors, Rogues and Mages; Each with their own skills and abilities. You will be capable of creating your own skills and abilities and do not have to follow the same skills as the game; Also, you may create your own specialisation, and each character can fight differently. For exactly a rogue could use a blowgun, or throwing knives, or miniature crossbows in each hand; A warrior could wield two axes, pickaxes, spears, a sword with hidden blade, two shields with swords hidden inside; A mage could use a sword to cast magic, a staff, a spear, gauntlets similar to Qunari wizards. That is all up to you. Just, make sure it goes with canon protocal. Also, as per a random wtf moment, Dwarves have started to use magic in similar ways to Qunari, through their gods instead of through channeling. Therefor, their magic is different.
Sexual Roleplay: Just like in real-life and in Dragon Age, sex sells. Alot. There are whore-houses and brothels on every corner of the alienage lately, and your companions may offer their body if they like you enough; That is, as with the game, there will be sex, just not in the middle of a darkspawn cave.
