Katy still felt dazzled by the city lights, the pictures had never really let on just how pretty it was- she was from a small town, where you could see the stars when you looked up. A very different world, but both were beautiful in their own ways. One thing she missed about home was how friendly everyone was, the people in the city were much different and seemed unapproachable somehow. She felt lonely.
Katy was a beautiful girl, young, and out on her own for the first time. It was a struggle, she often found herself completely enchanted by the city... but sometimes she wanted to run back crying. Still, she was determined to fit in and find a friend, so she dressed in her Sunday best- a pretty pink dress, and pulled her long red hair up into a stylish updo like she'd seen in magazines. Her body was slender, and the dress clung to her in all the right places, though had feminine lace and eyelet detail... when she stepped into the bar for the first time, she definitely stood out from the usual guests- for one, she smiled and waved at everyone, which wasn't unusual if you were in a small town... but definitely drew some stairs here.
She walked in and sat down at the bar, beaming, as she politely asked the bartender what he recommended- and how was he doing tonight? After getting a weird look, she was given the specials menu and she looked through it, not really sure what anything on it was- she didn't really drink much. She had once or twice before but only on special occassions, but now that she had the freedom to drink however much she wanted... whenever she wanted... she felt a bit of a loss and just picked something randomly while she looked around, hoping to catch the eye of someone who had a nice smile.
A lot of people seemed to be having fun on the dancefloor, so she downed her drink (coughing a bit as she did) and then moved over there. The dance moves here were very different, so she just swayed to the music to avoid embarrassing herself and tried to strike up a conversation with a rather attractive looking gentleman who didn't seem to be with anyone.
