Hades sighed as he moped around his throne room, growling in exasperation as he once again lamented over persephone's betrayal of his love and abandoned him. As he trudged over the floor of his throne room he stopped, giving a shudder. He felt something was wrong, something with his godly powers. He growled and slammed out the door, shouting to one of his minions. "Summon the fates! NOW!" He said as he stomped, a corpse grabbing the nearest unfortunate little demon and dragged it underground.

About an hour later, Hades grumbled to himself, feeling his powers somewhat weakening. One of his minions hesitantly approached him, informing him that the fates had arrived. He stood up and left the room, heading to the chamber the fates were brought to. As he entered he found the three hags arguing over their one eye once again. He glared at the three women as they began their usual poetic prophecy. (sorry if I dont actually put a prophecy poem but my poetic part of my brain is dead for today). He growled and left the room, letting the hags vanish with their usual cackling laughter. According to the fates, he needed to find a new bride to rule the underworld with him or else he would lose his position as god of the underworld. He then had learned that it would be a fair girl of the human world, though they didn't say where. He growled and decided he would head for the first time in a while to the human world in disguise to find his bride.

As he left the underworld, he shifted his appearance to the form of a teenage young man, one with slightly pale skin, shoulder length black hair tied back in a short ponytail and his outfit formed to become a black t-shirt, jeans with a few tears in the legs and black sneakers with silver and red swirl designs, pentagrams on the ankle sides. He appeared in front of an abandoned house, a for sale sign in the yard as he snapped his fingers, the sign turning to ash as he entered the house, using his powers to change a few rooms to his liking while he would be staying here in the human world. "Hmmm first things first, enroll myself in the local school and see if there are any worthy of being my bride." he went over and looked up on the computer what the local high school was. For an ancient god of the underworld, he kept up with the modern advancements of the humans, adapting his castle with some of the more entertaining technologies of the humans. He found the high school as well as the principal and counselor pictures on the site and summoned up two minions two take the shape of his parents and enrolled himself in the school, figuring it would be smart to fit in rather than just continually use his powers, at least when it suited him to not use them he thought with a smirk.

Scarlett (sorry changed the name) got out her truck and walked into the school. It was a cool and crisp morning. Scarlett had somethings to do before anyone even arrived. That and she couldn't wait to get out of her house. Her dad was an alcoholic and his slutty girlfriend wasn't any better. Not to mention that her drop out brother was still living at home without a job or future. But not Scarlett, she was going to get out as soon as she could. No matter what it took.

Scarlett took her iPhone out and texted her best friend to see if he was up. She walked into the school office to get something signed by the principal but as she looked up, she ran into someone. Scarlett was surprised to find a pale guy with longish black hair standing there. She smiled "sorry about that." Not going to wait for him to accept, scarlett made her way to the principal's office. They were discussing the theme to the homecoming dance when the secretary came in with new kid. "Sir this is.... I'm sorrh young man I didn't catch your name," she said in a small voice. Scarlett loom up from her seat and smiled.

Hades waited outside the principal's office, a slight smirk as he could tell the secretary would be a new tenant of his in about 10 years. When someone ran into him he was about to glare them to the underworld but stopped, a slight smile on his face at the girl who bumped into him. Even from just that brief moment of physical contact he could tell her body was perfect, and the fact that she was so willful made him want her. He hadnt expected it to be so quick but he already found the one to be his bride.

Being a person who loved a challenge, he decided to win her over in human form rather than just kidnap her like he did with Persephone, and he still lamented a bit at how that turned out. When he was brought into the office he gave a smirk at the girl, looking at her before turning to the principal. Kain ravencroft. My family and I just moved here from the south." (a bonus to you if you can name he movie that joke is from. Also I wanted to make a pun name for him like Harold Desmond but he had the nickname hades lol but went with a normal name)

Scarlett listened as the guy made his introduction. She ignored most of what he was saying. She needed to get approval from the principal to get the Greek style homecoming so that she could start getting decorations. The principal smiled at Kain and introduced Scarlett. "This is Scarlett Peak, she our senior class president," the principal said proudly. Scarlett smiled and shook hands with Kain. "It's nice to meet you and welcome to our school."

The principal grinned as he got an idea. "Hey Scarlett, why don't you show Kain around. I'm sure he would be happy to let you." Scarlett wanted to roll her eyes. She had too much to do to babysit some new guy. But Scarlett just smiled and said, "Well what about the homecoming theme??" The principal nodded and said, "Just leave the paper work on my desk and I'll look over it." All she could do was nod and walk out of the room flustered. Kain followed her. She turned around and gave him a her fake president smile. "I guess we'll start the tour then."

Kain gave the principal a quick smile, noticing the homecoming plans knthe paper and smirked softly. As they walked out of the office he spoke to her. "thanks but I doubt people here are gonna be that accepting of a transfer student anyway. And never would have pegged you for a Greek fanatic miss senior prez." he said with a chuckle as he moved past her, showing he had seen her passionate explanation for a Greek homecomin. "I got most of the layout from the website last night. So you can go back to pleading with the principal about getting that homecoming theme. And by the way, you misspelled Demeter on the sheet it's spelled demetre if you wanted it to be truly ancient Greek." he said as he walked away towards his new homeroom.

Scarlett stared at him dumbfounded as he walked away from her. She could believe that he was looking at her paper. Scarlett was glad that she got of that. Now off to pester the principal, she thought as she turned around to head back into the office. But instead she landed in her best friend's, Adam, arm as he wrapped it around her shoulder. "Oh no you don't. We have to get to class" She rolled her eyes as they walked down the hall. People thought that they were dating but that was far from true. Adam was secretly gay. And in order to keep it that way, Scarlett agreed to pretend to date him. That way guys didn't pester her to date them.

Scarlett and Adam passed Kain's homeroom. She looked inside as she always did when passing a classroom. She saw him and wondered why he thought that people weren't going to be accepting of him here. And from the looks of it he was wrong. There were girls surrounding him. She rolled her eyes as Adam pulled her along to the student council room.

Kain ignored most of the girls, noting how a few were pretty decent, but all paled in comparison to Scarlett. He would make her his new bride even of he had to use a few underhanded methods to do it. He then noticed her walking with a boy and smirked at them. He knew the boy would be going down since his lunkheaded brother zeus didn't allow homosexuals in the heavens when they passed on. Typical of a musclebound jock type. He turned his attention back to the girls, getting several of their phone numbers. If anything a few may be worth a good time or two to release some frustration. He then noticed glares from several boys and chuckled with a smirk, giving them a quick flip of the bird before the teacher arrived to take attendance.

Scarlett yawned as she entered her next class. She didnt care what the principal said. She was going to make homecoming the way she wanted it. She sat in her seat and got out some notes from before. She looked up everytime someone walked in. The last person to arrived finally came in. Scarlett was doodling int her notebook and look up. She rolled her eyes when Kain walked in and of course there was a seat next to her opened. She wished that the girl who normally sat next her her was there. Right as Kain walked in, so did the teacher. 'good morning class, we have a new student today. Why don't you introduce yourself.'

Kain smirked softly as he noticed Scarlett sitting in the classroom as he entered. He also felt the adoring glances of several of the other girls as well. He nodded at the teacher and turned to the class. "My name is Kain Ravencroft. A pleasure to meet you all." he said in a smooth yet dark tone. He noticed the seat empty next to Scarlett and moved over when the teacher said he could sit there since the girl that used to sit there had transferred to another school recently. He moved over to the seat and smiled at her. "lets get along shall we miss president." he said with a smirk and held his hand out to her.

Scarlett tried to ignore him. She didn't know what the hell why she thought he was so annoying, but she did. She watched as he came down the aisle and sat next to her. Some of the girls in the class glared at her like it was her fault. She rolled her eyes and sat forward. When he called her miss president, she turned around. "My name is Scarlett, as in the Scarlett Letter. Or Scarlett Johansson or Scarlett O'Hara."

He smirked softly at her. "Ah yes the Scarlet letter. One reference I always found interesting was in one chapter about how the girl acted as if she was sowing dragon's teeth. Made me think of the story of cadmus and how he founded thebes with the five strongest warriors sown from the teeth of ares' sacred dragon." He smirked having remembered watching said act happen eons ago as entertainment during a time no new souls were arriving. He then looked at her. "by the way i'll need to share your book. Being new and all I haven't a clue what the new books i'll need are."

Scarlett looked at him and shook her head. "Just so you know this is history and not lit class." With that she turned her attention on the teacher. "Now class, even though we have a new student, we'll be pairing. Scarlett since you've already seem to be working with Kain, you'll be partners." Scarlett nodded. She scooted her chair near his so that they can share the book.

He chuckled softly. "to me it's all just the past." he said, having lived through all of this history before, as well as having caused several of the great incidents these humans went through in their time on this planet.. He smirked softly as she scooted over, moving his desk as well so that he can look at the book, as well as cast several glances down at her, being a few inches taller than her even while seated.

Scarlett folded her legs under her as she sat cross-legged. She looked up at him and smiled. "Me to. I only look forward to the future and how it looks." Scarlett hated history especially her own past. She was ready to move on with her life. She looked at a chapter they were doing. Wow, isn't that interesting, she thought as they had Ancient Greek.

He noticed it was ancient greek and it's mythology as well as the tie in for it's normal history. He couldn't help but lean back and give a quick laugh at the irony. He shook his head and looked at the book, showing a picture of the statues of the three main gods, Poseidon, Zues, and of course, himself before he had modernized his appearance. "interesting indeed." he said with a smile, knowing that he would easily be scoring one hundred percent for this part of the class so there was not much else to do but get Scarlett's attention. "That reminds me, you were pretty adamant about the theme for homecoming being an ancient greek style. Perhaps even thinking of decorating in a mount olympus design?" he said with a chuckle.

Scarlett started writing notes. She might have hated history but that was no reason to fail it. She looked at Kain with her eye brow up wondering what he was laughing about. She shrugged and continued making notes. She loved the picture of Zeus, Poseidon and Hades. She felt bad for Hades though. She felt that he got the wrong end of the stick. She looked up at Kain and nodded. "yeah, i don't know mythology has always been my favorite. And the main gym yes. But there's also the commons and the second gym. I was thinking about making the commons underwater for Poseidon and the second gym all underworldy like. You know for Hades."

He thought for a bit and chuckled. "well really the only part that interests me is the Hades section. I'm more of an underworld enthusiast." he said as he looked at the book again, not really paying full attention more just doing it for appearance. He would glance over at her, watching her take notes with a smirk as he pointed out a spot where she had copied incorrectly, albeit a bit snidely. "Hephaestus was the husband of Aphrodite, not Artemis." He said as she had copied the wrong name from the list of the pairings of gods and goddesses.
