A dark, elegant, looking carriage pulled up the to the gates of the Angels' castle. The pair of black stallions huffing as they stop, shaking their horned heads at the gate that stood before them. The figures that lurked within the body of the carriage peeked through the window and murmured to each other before stepping out. The first one out was a tall, older gentleman, known as Haseo, King of Demons. His devilish grin and curved ram horns made him recognizable around both nations. Last to emerge was the Prince, Geramy. His red hair, wavy and confined to a pony-tail, made him stand out among the Demons. His red and black eyes emitted boredom and general indifference as he stepped out in front of the gate.
"Wow, this place hasn't changed a bit. I can't believe it's been so long since we've visited." Haseo said as he approached the gate.
Geramy looked at the castle, genuinely trying to remember the last time he had seen it, but to no avail. "Right," he said in a dull tone. "Let's just meet these people and get all that awkward crap out of the way." He said with a sigh.

Inside the castle, it was hustling and bustling, butlers and maids scurrying everywhere. Vases with brightly colored flowers were arranged anywhere they could be placed and an elegant meal being set out in the grand dining room. The King of the Angels was straightening his outfit in a mirror within his study when he called out, "Hurry up now everyone! They should be arriving any moment! Let's make them feel extremely welcome. Especially after their long journey!" he said with chipper excitement before looking back into the mirror, spotting his daughter sitting all lumped over in a chair behind him. He frowned as he turned to scold her. "Is that really the best second impression you want to give your fiance of yourself?" he asked her sternly, folding his arms over his chest which caused his golden cape to slide off his right shoulder. For a king he looked decently young. His facial features were strong and well defined but gave him the youth of a youngster. He was well built and held himself well. The only thing to really give away his real age was the little gray hairs the would peak out occasionally in his sleeked back golden blond hair. "Kuriko, really, come on now and try to get a better attitude about this. Things will be fine!"

As he tapped his foot on the floor Kuriko sighed and rolled her eyes, slowly standing up and straightening out the skirts of her flowing dress. "I don't see why this is such a big deal. The wedding is set in stone. No need to make such a big fuss out of it. It's not even the first time we've met. Just the first time we'll remember it," she said a little frustrated as she walked over to the mirror to fix her hair. It had been put into loose curls that framed her lovely pale skin and silvery blue eyes. She twirled around to give him a look over, her arms held out in exasperation. "There? Is that good enough for you? And did you really have to pick this silly pink color? I'm not 2 years old you know," she said motioning to the dress. Her father nodded in approval and a smug smile on his face. In any normal situation she probably would have been just as excited as her father was right now but this was going to be the first time she'd seen him since they were small. Her love. She was excited, confused, hopeful, and so many other emotions. Her head was all jumbled and her feelings just the same.

Just then a young servant poked his head in, knocking on the door frame. "Your highness, m'lady. They're here."

As the gate opened, Geramy's heart leaped in his chest, the reality of the situation finally settling over him. His shoulders suddenly felt heavy, and it was everything in him to keep them square. All his life he knew that he was going to marry her, the Princess Kuriko; it was a decision that was made even before he was born. But he never believed that the day would actually come--the day they sit down to arrange the wedding, and to plan their life out together. It wasn't anything Geramy was very pleased about; he had only met her once, and hardly even remembered it. He didn't even know what a fiance was back then. Regardless of how reluctant he was, he was beginning to get nervous. He began to fidget with his large bat-wing ears that popped out from underneath his locks of red hair, a nervous habit that followed him since he was a child.

Haseo, fixing his long black hair that fell over his shoulders, noticed this and smirked. "Don't be nervous, son, everything will be fine."
"I'm not nervous," Geramy barked, shoving his hands in the pockets of his black and gold suit. "There's nothing to be nervous about; it isn't like I need to impress her or something." He scoffed.
"Aren't you worried she will be a horrible brat?" Haseo teased as they walked up to the giant doors of the castle, waiting to be greeted by their hosts.
Geramy rolled his eyes and shrugged. "She's an Angel, how bad could she be? She'll probably be all peppy." He said, scrunching his nose. But even while reassuring himself, it was a fight to keep his hands to his side.

The moment the servant told them of their arrival her eyes widened and she looked at her father nervously. Jerricho looked to his daughter and upon seeing her nervousness, laughed a bit. "Now there's the little girl that I know and love. Just relax dear and breathe. Everything will be fine. He'll love you, you'll see," he said trying to soothe here, placing his hand on her shoulder before leaning down a bit to kiss her cheek. Her fathers words helped a little and she gave a soft smile to him before hugging him tightly, hiding her face in his chest. The chest which had been there for her all her life and comforted her through the good and bad times. He pet her head and gave it a kiss on top before turning her around and giving her a little spank on the butt to get her going. "Let's go to the front to greet them. Just remember to smile, alright?" he asked her, following her out the study door.

Kuriko took in a deep breath then slowly let it out. She did this a few times as she walked down the main hallway and towards the front doors. As she stood in front of the huge double doors, the entrance of the castle, she looked it up and down and bit her lip. It had never seemed so menacing before. She scrunched her toes repeatedly within her heals, trying to get the nerves out as quickly as she could. She couldn't help but to fidget around. Once her father was beside her she quickly grabbed his hand and held it behind her back. She didn't want to look like a little girl who still needed to hold her daddies hand, even if in this case she did. Letting one final big sigh out she closed her eyes tightly and nodded to herself before smiling her sweetest smile possible. The whole time her father just chuckling to himself, giving a small shake of his head. "Oh please...like you weren't like this with mom..." she mumbled.

"May I announce the King of Demons, his highness Haseo and Prince Geramy!"

As the large doors opened for them, Geramy could feel his heart jump up into his throat. 'There's no reason to be nervous,' He assured himself. 'I honestly don't even remember her. It isn't like we are in love...' He sighed deeply and walked by his father's side, keeping his shoulders square. They were waiting for them, obviously, but for some reason he was still caught off guard; he still wasn't ready for this meeting.

She was beautiful, he had to admit that. She really was an angel, that much was certain. He said nothing as Haseo ran to his friend like a giddy child, arms outstretched and a goofy grin on his face. "Jerricho, you old bastard!" He exclaimed happily. "Get your geezer-butt over here!" He grabbed him by the shoulders and pulled him into an embrace, squeezing him tightly in his arms. “It’s been far too long, old friend.’ He said affectionately as he pulled back to get a good look at the Angel. He gave a disapproving frown before saying, “Wow, you really have gotten older.” He chuckled. He looked over and took in a big breath of air. “This must be Kuriko! My, how you’ve grown.” He took her hand and cupped it softly in his own. “You are just as beautiful as your mother was.” He smiled softly at the princess.
Geramy stood quietly in the background, waiting for his father to be done with his eccentrics.
