Sitting atop a lonely building in the middle of what used to be a city Annabelle shivers drawing a raggedy coat around her as she becomes more aware of the cold icy concrete beneath her butt.shivering she tries to ignore the tiny snow flakes that flecked over her coat her face and the wool cap shed lifted from an abandoned store dummy.How long had it been sense shed seen the sun she wasn't sure all she knew was that sense the first bomb went out of control there,d been nothing but hot dirt and winter depending on were shed been lucky enough to stumble across.sighing she watches a familure sight as a lame dog bony as can be limped across the street .from its shape Annabelle could easily tell it was probably dieing of radiation poisoning the dogs tongue was pale as it licked at the snow sense there was no water around to drink otherwise."..poor thing shouldn't do that"she thinks a little sadly knowing the snow was in fact a nuclear winter or what was left of the beginning of it.watching in silence through and old air of binoculars with one lens long lost she bites her chapped and bloody bottom lip waiting."come on..you know you want it."
forcing feelings of guilt she watches as several shadow's begin slowly making there way towards the old dog as he finally collapses into the snow.getting up she quickly packs her gear and makes a run for the stairs of the building she was in knowing she only had a short amount of time before they finished there meal as the echos of a frightened
howl fill the halls the dog being torn limb from limb as Annabelle makes her break for freedom from this abandoned place abandoned like so many others. walking on the outskirts of the forgotten city she remembers back trying to think of how this all started.
It had been a few weeks ..after something some discovery that had caused mass histaria.. that's right the discovery of the vampire had shocked many .But after a while the vampires themselves came forward and soon humanity was living alongside its once greatest enemy..in a sort of peace.It wasn't long until people started bringing things into there own hands though..seeing the vampires through fear and racism in the worst way it wasn't long until someone got hurt.That someone was a vampire Representative..a female that had lived as she claimed thousands of years.Annabelle shivers looking back into the blinding snow as she remembers that day it had been a press conference covering footage of a hostage situation and then watching as the woman who had been tied to a post at the time burst into flame with the introduction of the sun sending her ashes flying over the crowd and starting the first infections.
The people in the crowed were the first of many to die some rising as frighting creatures.. unnatural monsters not vampires like the ones they Knew.These were creatures who could not control themselves..there hunger..and had no one to control them..or to teach them..the disease spreading swiftly as they sought there neighbor's, pets ,anything that moved to feed there undieing hunger.As it spread soon new York and the inter eastern seaboard had blotches of desiease...and having no cure the us military did the only thing they could and cut off the infected areas before bombing them..hoping to clean what was left away.
It was during on of these bombings that a it was discovered to late that one of the missiles guidance systems wasn't working and it landed uncontrolled in Cuban waters causing nuclear war between the countries fallowed swiftly by the rest.So the fire and heat fallowed by radiation was soon finished by a nuclear winter.Annabelle knew that others survived thanks to bunkers hidden beneath the streets but as for those left out in the cold they soon faced blistering winters and worse as the remaining vampires mutated from exposure to the radiation causing a new breed to emerge its mind animalistic but united as a hive mind.Striving to survive though remain the ones who call themselves pure seeking out only what they can find of humans who are at least not so badly poisoned.For to feed on the poisoned is to become a creeper a monster that is driven mad by its hunger and will hunt down anything living in packs to tear it apart.
( alright there are four types of chars in this story humans or furs,Vampires,creepers)
the creepers are monsterus and have mutated from vampires exposed to large amounts of radiation or from drinking the blood of someone killed by radiation and so on.they look human still but there teeth have become a jaw full of serrated fangs and there nails have turned into claws.they tend to attack in packs and if one goes down several more or assumed to show up shortly after its killed.They are not very smart but they learn quickly however have no capability of speech.a creeper bite while you are still alive will turn you into a creeper however the transformation can roam from hours to days depending on the environment and person.
Humans and furs are simply trying to survive and are as expected though some may be dieing or not depending on if they clean there injuries or if theyv been exposed to large amounts of radiation.
VampiresVampires can be human or fur and other than being slightly paler than there other counterpart they are hard to distinguish from non vampires unless they haven't fed in which there eyes may become red if they haven't learned to control it yet.They posses double the strength or more of there mortal counterparts or prey and need to feed on blood as often as possible to survive.they are sensitive to the sun and holy objects or holly and crosses or rose thorns detur them.Some can posses the ability of shape shifting or other arts of magic depending mainly on there family line.Vampires are just as dangerous or more so than there creeper counter parts for they will set traps in order to capture human prey But they also run small towns or shelters were human s gather in hope of food and water that the vampires have no need of.Vampires have the power of allurance there very presence meant to attract the attention of there prey there eyes alluring will draw you in change your perception make you see things that aren't there or even forget things all together.its best to avoid there eyes no matter how lovely they are.

I wanted to make this setting a bit different more challenging so i did a little reasurch .the setting will be five to seven years after the first nuclear strikes and so you will be facing a constant nuclear winter.it will most likely be constantly snowing or simply cold and cloudy no sun.Thus the vampires will have free range able to walk day or night seeing as the cloud cover will be thick enough for the players to be unable to tell which is which.Also a note on the side is that the main supply of water will be melted snow unless you find another source as of which the snow contains small traces of radiation contaminant and though it wont kill you right off over a long period of time it can.They must also be constantly aware and are usually under large amounts of stress looking out for creepers.
(vampires ) For a vampirre the environment is good and very beneficial with lack of sun they can move about with ease and easily hide amongst there prey.However even they are careful around the creepers for these roving jackles would tear them apart seeing as they close to equal the strength of there vampire brethren.feeding though can be hard for they must either find a human to feed off of or a fur that is at least in the lower levels of radiation exposure.They will often take up the jobs of slave traders just for the promise of fresh blood from captured raiders or stray humans and furs they come across.Which is why with such a low food source they are currently searching out bunkers established by the us and otherwise in hopes of finding a fresh large supply of blood to stock and hopefully contain.
