can someone tell me how I can alter my profile so that it reads that I'm male? for the life of me I couldn't see how to change that. sorry for wasting everybody's time but if anyone can help It would be much appreciated.

Go to User CP near the top...

... then on the left side click Edit Profile, the first of the second group of links. Under Additional Information is the Male/Female (Undisclosed, Other) drop down combo box.
