i am exceedingly fastidious when it comes to selecting partners,
so do not be offended if i decline your offer. i will probably have
a logical reason for rejecting your proposition, but in order to save
time i am going to list those reasons right here. i will most likely
decline your offer … if you are old (i.e. you are no longer in your
thirties); if you have poor spelling, grammar, and punctuation; if
you are looking for smut; if you are looking for sex-driven scenarios;
if you are looking to role-play over e-mail, instant messengers,
or some other venue that is not this forum; if you have weird,
creepy fetishes; if you expect a post every five seconds; if you
like posts that are short, sweet, and to the point; if you cannot
distinguish role-playing from reality; and if you are sexist. there
are probably other reasons, too, but i cannot remember them. i
will also most likely decline your offer … if i am not interested in
the topic; if i become involved in too many role-plays; if i become
too busy with college; and if i am just not in the mood.
hey there. i am pepper.mint, but you may call me pepper, mint, or
peppermint. it does not matter to me. i am itching for a couple of
story-driven role-plays, and when i say story-driven i mean story-
driven. sex in a role-play is fine, i suppose, but it makes me
uncomfortable when sex becomes the sole focus of the role-play.
uh, no thanks! erotica literature is not my cup of tea. another thing
that really peeves me off is when people cannot use adequate
spelling, grammar, and punctuation. notice that i did not say
perfect, because i realize we are all humans and are prone to
mistakes. needless to say, there is a significant difference between
a careless error and blatant ignorance, and i will not waste my
time deciphering your posts. invest in a spell-check program. oh!
i am rather lenient when it comes to out-of-character, obviously—
i rarely capitalize words and sentences in out-of-character chat.
for the record, i prefer quality over quantity, but as of now i want
quality and quantity. i want to read long posts and i want to write
long posts. i know that is very subjective, so i will be more concrete:
i want posts that are over seven hundred words in length. i want
unnecessary details when it comes to the scenery, the characters,
what they are doing, hell, what they are wearing. i love detail in
writing. it is my numero uno. if you cannot write over seven hundred
words, chances are you are not using enough detail to satisfy my
desires.
here are a few more basic guidelines:
♚ i am interested in original ideas, but there are some fandoms i
will do.
♚ my main characters will be female.
♚ i want heterosexual relationships—platonic or romantic, that is
your choice.
♚ my main characters will be in their twenties.
♚ needless to say, my minor characters can be male or female,
heterosexual or homosexual, young or old, et cetera, et cetera.
♚ this is not essential, but i like when a character comes with a
picture. if we are doing an original theme the picture must be real
life; if we are doing a fandom the picture must be anime, computer
generated, or whatever you call it.
♚ our characters will be human. no humanoid and/or fantasy
creatures, sorry.
♚ our role-play will be set in a real life setting, not a fantasy
world. you do not need to be an expert on different cultures, but it
would be beneficial if you knew basic information.
this is what i am looking for in a partner:
♚ the ability to play male characters. i do not care if you identify
yourself as a male or female, but i am not interested in playing
opposite of female characters.
♚ the ability to play different races/ethnicities. okay. this is probably
my biggest thing when it comes to writing: interracial scenarios. i
adore interracial scenarios. i love them. i love it when my partners
can play male characters from southern asia or the middle east (india,
iran, egypt, pakistan, or afhganistan, preferably).
♚ the ability to be a pretty darn cool person—the occasional out-of-
character chat goes a long way, you know. it makes me more
interested in the role-play. hint. hint.
this is what i am looking for in a role-play:
♚ my biggest craving is a post-9/11 setting. i want the male character
to be from one of the foreign countries mentioned above. i want the
female to be american. furthermore, i would like it if the female’s parents
died in one of the flights. preferred pairing for this is passenger (male) x
flight attendant (female). now, this can go one of two ways: one, the
passenger can be a regular guy who has no inclination towards the
terrorist acts, or two, he could be a bomber. call me stereotypical, i
find it fascinating.
♚ teacher (male) x student (female) on a college level is nice, too. i
have been itching for a scenario that involves a professor in his mid-
thirties, a professor who is grieving over the sudden, unexpected loss
of his wife (homicide, suicide, cancer, i do not know, we can decide
later), and a student who bears a remarkable physical resemblance to
the professor’s deceased wife. possessive and stalking behaviors would
ensue.
♚ another thing that interests me is an idea based on a flash game.
essentially, there is a team of scientists that find a cure for cancer.
however, the “cure” turns out to be a deadly pathogen that is going
to destroy every remaining living cell on earth in six days.
♚ i would also like a serial killer (male) x detective (female) pairing. i
have no inkling of a plot for this pairing, but perhaps we could brainstorm.
♚ i am interested in some fandom. first, i am looking for a partner who
will play a predetermined canon character. second, i will only play an
original character. i will consider any of the following: nolanverse
batman (jonathan crane x oc); inception (saito x oc / yusuf x oc),
source code (hazmi x oc / derek x oc), lord of the rings (haldir x oc),
or the elder scrolls iv: oblivion (lucien lachance x oc / eldamil x oc).
