Andy set back on the school bus, his left arm in a brace for the spring wrist his father had given him. Looking out the window, his anger rose more as he thought about what might have happened if it had been his sister instead of him. Thinking about when it happen, just a couple days before, he tried to think what he had done…
His father had yelled for another beer. When Andy went to the fridge only to find they were out of beer. Trying as hard as he could, he couldn’t remember much after that until the got to the hospital.
Looking at his sister setting next to him, “Ashley… I don’t know how much more I can take… We need to get out. If they keep going like this there going to kill one of us… Or I’ll kill one of them. I want you to come with me but if you don’t want to I’ll stay…”
