So...I'm writing for NANO again this year. Won it last time, hoping to do the same thing again this year and I'm brainstorming ideas. I think about going to do a post apocalyptic zombie apocalypse thing. Where there are few humans left and the zombies have evolved into intelligent beings. The story would center around a female who is human but is immune to the zombie virus and had an arm and an eye that are from zombies rather than from humans due to the Resistance studying her and seeing if they could find a way to replicate the gene that makes her immune. Because she couldn't stand being treated like a test subject rather than human she runs away and gets captured by The Empire (Zombies) and is taken to the Emperor to face judgment. The Emperor in turn treats her more like a human being than the Resistance did and she asks to live with him. So on and so forth, haven't worked out the rest but I have a feeling that an old friend from the Resistance will show up, shocked to find her.
