Elenader moved through the halls of the castle, stepping softly but still moving with impressive speed. At his side hung a long sword and on the other a dirk, he was dressed simply for the castle, in a dark green shirt and simple leather breeches, though the material was better which marked him as at least a noble of some rank. However what really set him apart from the others walking in the same hall was the green and red sash around him waist. The green marked him as a knight protector and the red trim and stitching marked him as the protector of the princess.
He was just assigned to her, still young for his position but still highly skilled despite his years. At eighty he was still a young man in the eyes of the elven world, but in his short time on this world he had learned much having been through more horror then most see in their hundreds of years. It had forced him to learn quickly and become a better man because of the struggles. Now here he was protector to the future of the realm and he would do anything that he could to preserve the future.
He came to the princess' door and paused for a moment. He brushed a stand of his shoulder length copper red hair back from his face hooking it behind a pointed ear. Sighing he let the exhalation take all his tension and nervousness with it before knocking on the door boldly.
