"This world is stupid, to many people who think they know what they are doing, but not enough of them actually do." In this world called Astin, in the year 2300 life was simple for a few, but difficult for others. The towers which where build by the high order in Astin to drain the magic of the more evil doers of magic converting it into more useful things like energy for every day citizens. This world was so advance that the people mistook these comfort and sometimes laid down there own freedoms for them. That was not all this energy was used for, another reason this power was gather for is war. They made powerful weapons that use forever day purposes.

In one such prison which lay on the north end of the continent of one of the more power countries in the world lay such a prison. In this prison and among the prisoner was a young demon wolf. Sometimes her appear in his more wolf humanoid form at others he didn't just with his wolf ears and tails. His cell was dark, which was because he breaks the light in them every time they put them into his cell, because he prefer being in the shadows or darkness compare to the light. He had a collar around his neck, a silver one with three low color blue lights on them. When he stood up, he height was in 6 foot even range. His body had a slightly muscular build to it along with his beautiful purple color eyes. He had a scar that came over his right eye in both of his forms, but he still had use of both of them "Man, I'm bored." He say from his dark cell looking out at the time.

It was about time for them to go to the yard for a little exercise, the color surprise there magic so they could do none while wearing them. Maybe he would see his favorite solider today. This wasn't a maximum security prison this was just a modern for more less criminal those that where consider less dangerous. This place was use to train newer guards and let scientist observe them for greater studies on how there magic works.

It was just around time for his favorite soldier to make their presence known. While most of the others had gone out to the yard for their daily training, there was always one person that came down to his cell to visit. Whether or not they pitied him was questionable, as she still carried out her orders given to him. But she seemed more or less curious about him. She was always chosen to go down and monitor the wolf demon's actions. And while there really wasn't much he could do with his shackles, she was told to take any measures to make sure he didn't get too rowdy. Just as expected, he would here the door to the prison's open up, the gentle tap of her shoes echoing in the lonely halls.

With no other prisoners to look over, the young neko made her way out in front of his cell, a gentle expression on her face. Compared to how he was treated by everyone else, her kindness was usually a nice change of pace. She had coal black hair at her shoulders with a pair of cat ears and a tail to match, along with mysterious amber eyes. Seeing as she wasn't on duty or part of the training, she was dressed a little more formally in a dress shirt and skirt. She was about 5'7" with a nice athletic build. Of course, it was to be expected among her kind. "You're bored huh? I suppose it's a good thing I came to check up on you." She moved over to the machine near his cell, pressing a few buttons on it. He would feel the pressure in his cell lessen a little, making it easier for him to move around if he wished. She had given her name to him many times, Elena, though he had never disclosed one to her. So she wasn't really sure of what to call him every time they met.

He tilts his head up when he hear coming down the hall. He sat up in his bed and looks out from the darkness to wait for her to come into his view. The only thing that was visible about him from the outside was his pair of purple eyes. When she steps in front of of the cell, he licks his lips "Well, well, if it isn't my favorite kitten" He smiles to her, before getting up after she had release him from so he could move around easier. He got up and came closer to where she was. He wasn't in his full beast form at the moment just the tail and the ears. She could see that he was smiling to her, as she could see the rest of him in the light "It's nice to see you again. After all your my favorite kitten." The tone in his voice was that of sincerity.

He places both of his hand on the bar looking at her from head to toe and back up at her eyes "Off duty eh?" He chuckles, before whistle at her "No matter what you are in you still look quite beautiful my kitten." He smiles looking her into the eyes now. He tilts his head to the side "Seems you are the only one that visit me down here really, so what do I owe the pleasure today." He smiles a bit more at her. He was loving this little bit of attention today from first glace you couldn't tell that he was dangerous at all. You couldn't tell much at all other then he seems like a normal wolf, who loves his fun.

While Elena would not go so far as to let him out of the cell, or enter herself, she had gone to pull up a chair in front of him. She had grown used to his playful way of speaking with her. It was hard for her to believe that he was really a demon wolf. Her gentle eyes looked into his, giving him a pleasant smile. "I can see you still have a way with words." she said. Watching him move to the bars, she did not flinch in the slightest. He could easily reach out and harm her if he wished, but she wasn't worried about something happening. Plus, he wasn't as 'dangerous' in his form right now. She remembered seeing his true form only once, and it was quite fearsome, but sitting here with him made that image seem so unlikely.

She knew he was looking over her figure, even if she wasn't showing off too much skin aside from her legs. "You could say that. While everyone else has gone off to train, I've been given an exception. It seems like there has to be at least someone watching you. I guess you should be happy it was me." He would still be laying about under the pressure if she wasn't around. "Well, I could use a little company myself, and I know you're quite a good listener. Honestly though...I can't believe they'd have to treat you like this just for some power..."

He chuckles at her, before siting down at the bar looking at her, he seems to peaceful "You know I've always got time to listen to you kitten." He chuckles a bit more, before licking his lips lightly "This world is filled with idiots my dear." Tilting his head to the side, before his eyes come up and meeting with her eyes once again "Personally, for all the things that I have done it's not that hard for me to believe." He laughs to himself, before layinh on the floor with his arms cross behind his head "Let just say I've not been a nice wolf and appears can be deceiving, just because I do not look dangerous doesn't mean I am not." He smiles at her, but his words at the time where so content and lovely that it was hard to believe him in what he had just say. Those last words he had told to her, he was always saying to her all the time.

"So, kitten what's on your mind? You know I've always got an ear that's open, since you show me kindness." He holds his hand out to to her, the rest of the staff around here had treated him with disrespected always tripping him and kicking him. No matter what they did to him he had never response with violence in the long fifteen years he has been in here. They all thought that he was week, but there was something odd about him. Those that he had got into fights with either got badly injury, or had serious accident, all of those which where blamed one him. That was the reason that he had been treated so like this, he had the reputation of being bad luck to people that consistently mess with him.

Even with how frequent her visits were, Elena still got little chills every time he came to the bars so close to her. While she was sure he wouldn't do anything to her, she sometimes thought that one day she might not be so lucky. After all, there had been those rumors that this demon wolf was a bad luck charm for those who got too close. It was safe to say that Elena was the closest to him, though she was still cautious. "Well, I imagine so. I always know where to find you." She crossed one leg over the other, and even with her skirt, anything underneath was somehow out of sight. "Hmm...I'm well aware of your reputation. How could I not be? However, it's still hard to believe if I haven't seen it for myself."

He was pretty sharp though. It was not hard to see that something was bugging her. However, it was risky coming to him to tell her these things. Everyone else knew about how she talked with him, and because of that, she had been worked even harder, finding herself exhausted by the end of the day. "Well...I suppose it wouldn't hurt to tell you. Lately...I haven't been asked to do much around here. This isn't the first day I've been asked to skip training. I suppose I'm glad to have a little break, but it's so odd for them to stop all of a sudden after the tough training I've been getting. I'm so used to moving around...and now I just sit around."

He was laying on the floor all stretch out looking like a dog that wish to have his tummy rub. He looks at her cutely, before beginning to nibble on the bars lightly "Maybe you are just that lucky my dear." He was response to her about her not getting her for being close to him "But then again maybe my curse can't find you." He laughs at her, there was a long list of bodies that had been hurt, or killed for getting to close to him. There was officer Johnson the dog man who like to hit him with his night stick all the time. His car had blow up with him inside killing him, the cause of his car blowing up is still a mystery till this day. There was also the inmate Carl his former cell mate that had his leg cut off in the work shop, but it was later found out that he was messing with him. One of the last in the string of cases was her former partner officer Venis. She was a lovely doe woman, that one day got trap into the in lockdown with some serious criminal and rape almost death. The strange thing about it was the door wouldn't open so that she could be pull out till it was almost to late. The biggest mystery was how well his body was in shape, he wasn't allow to go to the yard, for most of his time in this place he was in solitary. His mind set seems to be in the same way as he came in. He seems to like his little interaction on a daily bases he got.

"I'm sorry, it's because of me isn't it." He looks up to her with a sad look on his face as she told him about it "You're a tough woman, you don't need to train everyday to keep your skills, because you are that good." He smiles at her again, before rolling over onto his side "Maybe you are just worry to much and they are rewarding you for all the hard work you are doing?" He looks up to her. He reaches his hand out of his cell offering it to her "Now, kitten maybe you shouldn't go home tonight, maybe go visit a relative tonight." The look on his face was serious at the moment, the tone in his voice was almost order "You might want to take old lake road to your sister house on lake view." Now, there was something odd going on. He hadn't live in this city, she had also not told him about her sister.

Elena found it a little amusing how he was laying there on his back as he listened to her. She wasn't sure he if he was doing this intentionally to distract her or not. "Hmm...I wonder if that is the case. It would be foolish of me to ignore this so-called 'curse' of yours." While most of the victims of this 'curse' were not very close to her, she still remembered Venis's incident very well. It was a sickening memory to recall, but with how he was acting now, she couldn't see how he was related to this curse. As for this wolf demon's physical appearance, she never really questioned how he was in such good shape despite laying around all day.

"Ah...you don't have to feel so bad about it. I expected something to happen, though I got more than I bargained for." she said with a little giggle. "Eh...I wonder about that. I've never been asked to do anything remarkable on missions. I've seen some combat, but noting I couldn't handle." She noticed him offering his hand to her, and she slowly went to place hers in his. As he was now, the difference in their hand sizes wasn't very amazing. In his true form it would be as though he were holding a bug. She was more or less shocked with his words, almost removing her hand from his. "W-what...what are you talking about? I haven't even..."

He takes his hand back away from her, before scratching behind his ear lightly, before looking up to her with a smirk on his face "I don't know what you are talking about my dear." He chuckles a bit more, before getting up off the floor dusting himself off. He looks at her, before smiling to her "I think you are over exhausted, my dear." He presses his face to the bar smirking at her "You told me about your sister last week and where she lived." He smiles to her, before going back into the back of the cell "But, our time is short Private Green will be coming for his daily talk." He gets back onto his bed, before looking out from the darkness at her "Also be careful of people in a black leather coat my dear. But go to your sister tonight, she will help you out tonight, because she can hear alot more then I can. Beside it would make me feel better."

After he had say that someone open the door down to his cell, before coming down them. When she would turn around she would see Private Green standing there "Miss Elena I've come to relieve you, you can go home." He told her, before going over to the controls and reinstating the pressure over him, which he didn't seem to mind, he was in this place after all "Good bye kitten and welcome Mr Green." He was always so nice and polite to Green too. One of the other guards that hasn't suffer from his curse.

Even with his cheery expression, she did not feel any less worried. What exactly was he trying to get at? If she had been telling him about her sister, she would have remembered something like that. And to think he was very descriptive with the area she lived. For the moment, she would just go along with it, but she was not completely convinced. She wasn't sure if she would be confused out of exhaustion, especially when she hadn't done any training for the day. But remembering that Private Green was showing up, she'd have to leave soon. "Er...people in black leather coats?" She didn't see those kinds of people often. And just because they wore those didn't necessarily make them bad people did it? "Well...if you say so..."

Her ears twitched slightly hearing the door to the prison open, and sure enough, Private Green was making his way towards them both. "Ah...y-yes. As you say. I'll take my leave then." She took one last glance over to him, letting out a little sigh as she headed out. On her way home, she was still trying to think about what he was talking about. She couldn't help but feel like his words served as a warning for her, and if that was the case, who was it that was going to harm her? These people in the black coats? She didn't understand it at all. Soon enough, her sister's house came into view, though it was still quite a walk to get there.

There was an eerie feeling that came around as she walk the streets to her sister house every once in a while. It was as if she was being watch at the moment. There was a few people out at this time, but what would probably scare her the most about this situation, there was a guy in a black coat reading a newspaper near where her sister live. When he look up and saw her, he folds his newspaper before leaving the scene. On the right down the street there was another one of them this one being was walking up to his car, before getting in after he saw her.

When she would come to the door it would open, before she gets a chance to knock. It was one of her sister kids the eldest "Hello Aunt Elena." He smiles to her, he was about 13 years old, before he gives her a hug "How have you been?" The young man looks up to her, he had always been a pale young man and skinny too, but he was always healthy "Bring me anything." The inside of the place was very nice dressed in the latest fashion with lots of beautiful art all over the place.

Even if it was getting a little dark, Elena didn't worry too much being a neko. Naturally, she had a keen sense of sight so she would most likely be fine even if it was pitch black all around her. Still, why was she feeling so anxious? Was it because of what he had told her earlier? It was still odd how he was so detailed about where her sister lived, and the men in the black coats? She hadn't thought much about them until now. And as if on cue, she could see there was a man quite like that sitting on a bench not too far from her sister's house. She didn't think much of it until he saw her and walked away. And with the other one getting in his car, she did not feel as calm as she was earlier.

She shook her head of those thoughts. "No, it's just a coincidence..." she thought to herself. She stepped up to the door of her sister's house, about to knock before it was opened in front of her. She could see her sister's oldest son standing there, looking quite happy to see her. "I'm just a little tired, but I think seeing you has cheered me up a little." she said, hugging him back. "Eh? A souvenir?" There wasn't a lot she could get from her work, and most ideas that came to mind were probably not appropriate for him. "Tell you what. Next time I come by, I'll see if I can get a dog tag for you. Does that sound fair?"

Nathan smiles at Elena, before nuzzling into her again "He really loves his Auntie doesn't he?" A familiar voice comes from out of the back. It was her sister, she standing there in an apron, she look like she had been cooking diner for everyone "Food will be ready soon." From the looks of her you wouldn't have guess she was ex special forces, but she was. Another one of her sister kids Tiana stood by her mother side looking up to her with her thumb in her mouth, she wasn't much older then five years old "Hello Auntie Elena." She say to her in a cute voice, with the cutest grin on her face at the moment "Come on in Sister, you came just in time I almost got diner ready." She giggles at her sister, before teasing her "So, when the baby due and who's it? You're getting a little chubby over there sister dear." She would giggle at her again, before heading back to the kitchen.

Elena giggled a little as she patted his head gently. It was then that her sister's voice came around and it looked like she was in the middle of preparing dinner. Of course, it didn't take very long for Elena to pick up on the wonderful aroma coming from the kitchen. "Ah...smells good. Then again, anything you cook turns out really good." And as little Tiana came by her mother's side, Elena could see she still had her thumb-sucking habit. "Hello there Tiana. It's good to see you're doing well." She really was too adorable. She went ahead and closed the door behind her, managing to head over with Nathan still holding her. Elena grumbled a little at her sister's comment, even if she knew it was a joke. "Ha ha, very funny. Somehow it's odd hearing that from you when you've already gotten yourself a couple kids. Lately, I've been on guard duty, given an exemption from daily training. It's a little worrying..."

(You can give your sister a name.)

Tiana comes closer to Elena, before pulling her thumb out of her mouth, before signaling up to her to come closer to her her. If she did then Tiana would give her a hug, before kissing the side of her cheek. Tiana would hold her bear with both of her arms, before walking upstairs with her. Her sister turns to Nathan, before tilting her head to the side "Now, go help your sister get ready for dinner please." She told him, before he nods to his mother and goes with his sister upstairs "You shouldn't worry about it. Come with me and help me finish up in the kitchen." She could see the roast that she was making. Along with the marsh potatoes and vegetables "So, how has everything beside that been at work?" She ways to her sister one of the secret hand signs to keep talking, she had a notepad beside her. She writes something down on it, before taping the pen lightly on the page.

On the page it read 'You shall those guys out there with the black coats on right? They been here for three weeks now casing out this house. I don't know what's going on, but I think it is big. Also, don't talk about it. The house is bugged." She told her, before giving her the pen awaiting for her to response by writing something down "I know you have a boy friend by now."

(Figures. XD)

Seeing little Tiana motion for her to come closer, Elena would not keep her waiting long. As soon as she came by, she hugged her back, giving her a little kiss on the cheek as well. And while she was about to get dragged upstairs, her sister, Melanie managed to stop Tiana from dragging her around. With the two kids heading upstairs, Elena followed her sister into the kitchen to help with dinner. As expected, there was a lot of great food just waiting to be devoured, and Elena felt her stomach growl a little again. Before Elena said anything, she caught Melanie's sign, soon noticing the notepad and pen nearby. It would appear that she was aware of those men as well. But just who were they? Even he said something about them...

'Of course I saw them. I was actually warned ahead of time about them.' she wrote. What sort of business did those men have with them anyway? "A boyfriend? I can't say I do, but that doesn't mean I'm not looking."

She begins to write down on the paper 'I see then, then what would it be, it's not like this house holds anything of value. I been retire for a couple years now, so I'm going to have to say the target is you, or my husband, but he not here right now, he over sea on a 'business' trip. Did you do something? Are you in trouble?' Melanie smiles "It's about ready, why don't you set the table. We can talk more later." She told her, as she pulled the food out of the oven and sitting it on the stove letting it cool down, before calling upstairs "Hey young one's are you done yet?" To which Nathan calls back "Yes, mother." Him and his sister come down the stairs, before Nathan comes up to Ethan "Auntie, I forgot to give this to you it fell out of your pocket." It was a clear looking purple gem that could easily fit into one's pocket. She wouldn't recognize this because she didn't have it on her in the beginning of the day.

'That's what I'm worried about. I don't recall doing anything that would stir up any attention.' The only notable thing she could think of was her daily exchanges with their prisoner. Even so, it wasn't like she was set on betraying everyone and setting him free. Still, she did feel sorry for him being locked up all day with his powers being drained. 'It may be due to my visits with the one they're locking up. I've been watching over him more often and I've been asked to take breaks from training. It may sound crazy, but that prisoner actually warned me about these men, telling me to go here to you.' Still playing the part, Elena gave a little smile in return. "Of course. Leave that to me." Knowing where all the silverware was already, Elena wasted no time in setting the table, soon seeing her children coming to join them. She felt Nathan gently tugging at her clothes, and she turned to see the item he was handing to her. And while she took it, she had no idea what it was. She didn't recall having such an item on her earlier that day. But in knowing the house was bugged, saying something suspicious might lead to unfavorable results. "Thank you very much Nathan. How could I be so careless?" she said, gently ruffling his hair. Taking another quick peek at it, she swiftly slipped it into one of her pockets, looking to somehow figure out what it was, and how Nathan saw it fall out of her pocket when she did not know she even had it on her.

When she touch the unknown object it was smooth like glass, but it felt like a metal. Nathan nods to her, before siting at the table as his mother put everything in place, before bring out the pie for everyone one. It was half apple and half blue berries. Ethan would know that her sister love to cook and made new things all the time. They all sat down at the table, before Natan say the blessing and they dug in. Soon diner was done and Nathan and his sister did the dishes and put up the food. Melanie smiles to her sister "Roberts not going to be home tonight, so we can have a little girl time to ourselves." She told her sister, before leading her by the hand to the basement. Ethan knew that Melanie and Robert like there privacy. She was taking to the cellar. There was a finger print scanner and eye scanner there. Melanie places her eye against it, before placing her finger against the scanner "Identity confirm! Access granted." The door open before them, before allowing the two of them in. Inside of this place was a stockpile of weapons legal ofcourse they had permits for them all. "We can talk in here freely." Melanie say to her sister as the door closes behind them
