( Before I begin, let me first request that if any moderator feels that this is in the wrong forum then please drop me a PM if you decide to move it. I will need to keep track of the thread, after all. I simply felt that this was the best place for this post due to the fact that I am looking for suggestions for my short-stories in an effort to coordinate them with what my peers on Blue Moon would like to read. )

Now then, this is an idea that I am borrowing from an old friend of mine from the Darknest forums – Ashadel. She started a project about a year ago that would consist of one erotic short-story for each zone in the World of Warcraft massively multiplayer online game. As far as I know, she cancelled this project when real life sucker-punched her and took off running. After all, this is a massive project for one person to manage when they have more important things that they must worry about. Seeing as I do not have such worries and I have been really craving some Warcraft action, I am going to revive the project in her honor here on Blue Moon.

What does this have to do with all of you? Well this is, as I have said, a massive project and I will be writing a lot of short stories in the process. What I would like from the Blue Moon community, whether you are a World of Warcraft veteran and hardcore raider or just a fan of the previous Warcraft games who played WoW for two weeks and then never touched the game again, I am looking for suggestions on what you would like to see from the stories. Remember that these stories will be done by zone. When making suggestions, try to consider the natural races and/or creatures that inhabit any given zone. You can be as vague as simply giving me a pairing to work with or as detailed as giving me a pairing, a list of kinks that you would like to see, and a brief overview of a plot that you would like to see.

Now, I am a straight male and I have quite a few limitations on role play kinks but I am willing to lift these restrictions for certain stories. For example, I will never role play a male on male pairing but I might be willing to write a gay male story or two. With the number of stories that I will be writing for this project, I will need as much variety as I can get and I would like to appeal to as many people as possible. That said, do not be afraid to make any suggestion no matter how unconventional it may be. The only thing that I will not consider doing is scat/vomit. I don’t care how encompassing I want to be – I will not write about these things.

This thread is just for discussion and suggestions for stories. The actual stories themselves will get their own thread in the Storytelling forum and I will try to provide a link to each story by zone as I add them. Below, you will find a list of all of the zones (and a few sub-zones) that I want to include in the project in alphabetical order. If you have any suggestions for more that I have overlooked then please speak up. Just keep in mind that for now, I am only writing a story for each actual zone in the game. When this project is complete then I will consider adding others, such major cities, battlegrounds, and instances/raids.

Noone has any ideas for things that they would like to see? Well I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I wouldn't throw ideas at someone of things I would like them to write about if I didn't know what they were capable of either. I'll start working on my first story tomorrow to see if that gathers interest.

So, I cut some of the locations out of the original project - notably, the major cities. Effectively, I have removed thirteen stories from the project which can be added back in later if I choose to continue when these are finished with and have deviant tales attached to them.

Well, some of these locales suggest pairings naturally. Netherstorm would probably be Blood Elf/Draenei. Silverpine Forest has Forsaken/Worgen. I'd love to see an Outland story (Blade's Edge Mountains?) with the Ethereals. Doing something creative with demons in Shadowmoon Valley... Vash'jir zones lend themselves well to naga sex, if you can work out the mechanics of that. Also, Hillsbrad Foothills: The Amorous Adventures of Jenny Awesome, anyone?

Aha! A fellow Moon Guardian - well, I don't play anymore but Moon Guard was the last server that I played on. Silver Hand at launch and was there until Ravenholdt released (the first and only RP-PvP server in my time zone). Then I moved to Twisting Nether after a while before moving to Moon Guard when it launched. Anyway, I am thrilled that someone has taken a vocal interest in this because I have been looking in some... strange yet effective places for inspiration.

Coincidently, it seems that Ashadel has NOT canceled the original project so I will probably message her and let her know that I am doing the same here. I am sure that she won't mind, seeing as our paladins are lovers, but it's always nice to give someone a heads up when you borrow their ideas. Maybe we'll make it a joint project with me representing Blue Moon and she Darknest. Would certainly make the project much less intimidating to have two writers working on it.

Anyway, I'll certainly take your ideas into consideration - I like the take on the Ethereals and Demons but Blades Edge seems like Ogre territory to me... gross and twisted as that may sound. Was there a really shady Ethereal merchant in a quest in Netherstorm? There will be plenty of chances to do a BE/Draenei story (Halaa anyone?) but Netherstorm seems like a very fitting place for an Ethereal slave trader.

Was there a really shady Ethereal merchant in a quest in Netherstorm?

I've not found a zone without any shady Ethereal merchants excepting perhaps HFP and Zangarmarsh. The others definitely have them. But, I shall play through Netherstorm tonight--I need the achievement anyways--and see what I can find. Feel free to use me as a research source for things like that--I play a lot, and have a whole host of alts, and am always willing to re-run content, especially for a good cause.

ERP is always a good cause.

This does indeed need to be moved since all the group-style RPs are now self contained. But I'm a bit uncertain where you'd like it (group, open or persistent & shared worlds).
