Konrad dismounted his horse and led it into the stables next to the coaching house, an inn for travelers on the main roads to rest at. They doubled as guard areas since bandits and other dangerous things traveled the roads and prowled the forests to prey upon merchants and caravans. Konrad's horse was a huge black steed with a white strip down the nose. Spiked metal guards protected the horse's legs and served as weapons when the horse reared and kicked, and a helm-like fitting on it's head had a long metal horn, imitating a unicorn's with a second, smaller horn beneath that, meant to strike on a charge.

Large metal spurs on his black boots chimed as he walked to the coaching house, called The Diving Swan. His hands were covered with black riding gloves lined with studs on the knuckles to give his punch extra blunt force. His clothes were dark and his presence made doubly so by a sweeping black cloak he wore with a hood drawn about his head. Silvery locks showed from beneath the hood and golden eyes stared dire and daggers at anyone that looked at him. A thick belt around his waist held an ornate short sword and dagger at his sides. Though he seemed to have a menacing manner and dark intent, he was looking for a particular party here. He had been hired to meet a group who were disguised as pilgrims and to take them through the Drakwald Forest, known for it's size and danger, and to see them safely to their destination. Amongst them, his chief charge, was a young noblewoman, and she was who he was primarily paid to protect. And the paying party as at the destination which assured he had to complete the mission in order to claim the reward.
