Riverah cussed inwardly as she slammed the doors to her room. She couldn't believe that her parents would do this to her. Arrange marriage, in this day and age? Really? Sighing angerily she plopped down onto the large queen sized bed. Leaning forward slightly as she burried her face into the palms of her hands. She gave a loud growl of frustration. What did they think she was, a child? That she needed them to make ever single decision about every aspect of her life? Anywere to her hobbies to her fture husband. Nothing was her choice, she hated it, she wished she had a different life. Something more worth while, something exciting.
There was a soft knock on the door, making her slowly raise her head and galre at who ever disturbed her. Before realizing that whomever it was couldn't see the look. Sighing she responded. "What is it?"she said in a rather harsh tone. Her breath come out in a warm rush as she stood.
"Riverah, Its mother" Her mothers calming purr spoke from the otherside of the door. "may I come in?" she asked, the door handle slowly creaking. She was going to intrude into her only safe haven from them.
|Leave me alone, I do not wish to speak with yo, nor father. Just LEAVE ME ALONE" Riverah yelled, Her grey-blue eyes like a storm, rage dwelled within.
"Your being childish, it is our custom, that a marriage between two kindom is arranged." Her mother explained to her for what seemed to be the one hundredth time.
She didn't care. Custom or not it was wrong in her views. "I don't care mother I am not going through with this, this is my life, I will live it the way I want. I'm twenty years old." She said her aggiitation evident in her tone.
Sghe could hear her mother give a sigh, her long pointed tipped ears were for the most part finely tuned. Her gold tinted wings gave a flicker of annoyance as both remained silent for a time. "Very well, we will speak more of this tomarrow when dyou are more coopertive."Her mother said softly before leaving.
Giving an exsperating sigh she spun on her heels snad stomped towards the balcony. though it rained heavily she walked out, her eyes taking in the small village that was her home. Was this it for her? Was this the life she must live? No adventure, no excitement.
She shook her head, her Blonde locks wetly bouncing. No this wasn't it, she wasn't about to marry some stuck up forign noble. Frowning she went into her room gathering a pouch of gold coins, he pieces were worth alot compared to the silver and copper coins the lower class recieved from hard days work. She also slipped a dagger into the small of her back. Her outfit was of black and gold. Short skirt, little top, and long toeless stockings (outfit from image.)
She packed light relying the coins in the pouch to last her a bit until she figured what else to do. She went to her balcony, taking off in one small leap as her wings gathered enough to carry her off.
The rain made it difficult as she dropped to the culd, her wings flattening down her back. She stood 5'3 weighting approximately 115lbs soaking wet. nothing to intimadating about her besides her tongue, and the magic she learned over her life time.
The ground was soggy, cold and wet. Something she wasn't used to but she wasn't about to complain for it was her own choice to leave this night. Her hips swayed, as she made way along a dirted path that was now muddy, her eyes scanning the area that she wasn't firmiliar with, the trees massive, the bushes contained odd fruits and berries. She was curious about everything, her lips twisting into a smile despite being totally wet, she felt calm, yet exciting after the arguement with her parents.
