...wouldn't you like to know?
Sitting in a black mustang with an older woman driving the car Niko Williams sat silently glaring out the window, recently her mother had decided that Niko was to live with an unknown uncle she had never met or at least didn't remember meeting while the woman went off and started a new life with a new family. The fact that her own mother was basically disowning her was what had gotten under Niko's skin in the first place. After all, she was her mother's first child so she should be going with but instead she was being forced to live with a man she knew nothing about. The uncle she was to live with was from her father's side and since her father's disappearance before her birth Niko knew nothing about that side of the family since her mother refused to speak anything about them which to Niko was very odd but she had learned not to press the issue.

As the car came closer to a very large but old looking house Niko brushed her bangs out of her face. Niko stood at 5'6'' with short black hair, dark blue eyes that almost looked dark purple under certain lights, pale skin and a perky C cup sized breasts as well as a small waist which with the correct clothing gave her a very attractive figure. However due to her pale skin Niko often wore long sleeve shirts, pants and hoodies though lately her mother had started to buy her more feminine clothes much to her displeasure. Interrupted from her thoughts by the car coming to a hault out of no where Niko eyed her mother who never looked at her, "this is were you get out. Just go knock on the door, I need to leave before I'm late" "Whatever...not like you care anyway." Climbing out of the car Niko grabbed her things then went up towards the door knocking on it and waited for a reply

It took a good minute until which then only Niko could hear a few footsteps within the household. Before long, Temp Hazen slowly opened the door his body leaning against the door as he wore nothing but shorts, a necklace that kept hold of a metal shard, and a red cap with holes in which his ears peered through as he looked at Niko wearily. A brisk moment of silence went between them as he observed her appearance, not reacting to anything as he took a good look at her niece. "Neeko right?" an ear perked up as he began to speak. "Or was it something like Naiko.. ah well," he chuckled as he put his paw behind his head. "Come on in, just leave your bags by the door," he muttered, heading into the kitchen. "Want something to drink? Tea? Coffee?" Temp just looked at her momentarily. "Not a coffee drinker," he murmured to himself, preparing a brew of tea as he poured the drink into the mug, offering it to her as he sat across from the couch she was sitting on. When he passed it to her he glanced at her for a moment as he realized.. she was rather uneasy. Letting out quite the noticeable sigh, Temp's body relaxed as he looked at her, resting his head upon his fist.

"You look like you've never seen a furry before," he mumbled, avoiding eye contact as he spoke. "What do you think I'ma do? Bite you?" he cackled as he itched behind his head. "So, welcome to your new home. Not bad eh?" in all honesty, his home was very well kept. a two story home with a modern design, polished wooden floors and a carpet in every other room. "I'm.. sorry about your situation, but.. I really do hope we can make the best of this," He rambled on, trying to get her comfortable. "Now then, let's skip the rest of this shitty conversation and give you a little tour eh?" he let off a soft laugh as he gestured her to get up and follow him.

What answered the door totally surprised and startled her, instead of a man a very tall wolf like humanoid creature stood in the doorway. How was it possible that she was related to such a thing? When he began at guessing her name her irritation began to show, "It's Niko, you claim to be my uncle so get it right. My father wanted me to have that name and I'm rather proud of it as well" She could care less if she sounded cold or mean, Niko had no knowledge of the man and still couldn't believe she was even related to such a thing. When he asked about drinks though she looked at him leaving most of her bags by the door except one. "I usually drink Tea or Juice though I do occasionally have Soda as well, it really depends on the mood I'm in... I also drink milk too though I don't do coffee the smell is gross and I also don't do alcohol since I'm under age." She sat on a couch listening to him make the drinks trying to wrap her head around all that was happening. When he offered her the drink she took it gingerly while watching him uneasy, the man was a wolf after all and it was rather scary in her opinion.

She couldn't understand how her mother had so willingly left her with such a creature, unless the woman didn't know which was impossible. "Thanks I guess and I haven't I don't even know what that is... to me you look like a wolf but capable of standing on two feet and talking. My father disappeared before I was born and my mother never spoke of his side of the family" Listening to him talk more she just shrugged remaining cold towards him,"don't be...its not like you were in my life before now and no one else would take me seeing as how they disapprove of my mother just running off and starting a new family while leaving me behind" When he suggested a tour she sighed and stood up, "might as well, I'll need to know the lay out of the house since I'm going to be living here. Though I'd rather not, it's nice and all but...well it doesn't matter anyway what I think"

A bit disgruntled with her rather hesitating comments, Temp took a long breath, it was only then until which you could see the height difference. Temp towering over her by nearly a foot, standing at 6'5. He walked along the walls on the first floor looking back as he tried to let up a smile on his face. "Kitchen, dining table, and there's a home theater past that door over there," he laughed softly. "I live alone, so it's not like I have a room setup for someone else," he muttered. Obviously she didn't want to be here, and although he would be in open arms for her, her attitude was something he was just pushing him off a cliff.

"Alrighty, up the stairs shall we?" he smiled as he bowed jokingly, leading her up as he showed her his more personal rooms. "Now over there is my office, and yes, I fucking work just like everyone else," he rolled his eyes as he moved on. Anthro's were quite common to be lurking about the modern world these days, so he was surprised Niko hasn't heard of them. "My bedroom is over there... and I cleaned out the guest room. I used to have my treadmill and weights in there, but I moved em' out just for ya," he smiled as he showed her in. It wasn't anything extravagant, but it definitely wasn't bad at all. The room's walls were white, but plenty of space, even with the bed in there as he pointed out a walk-in closet and her personal bathroom. "Just a good place to keep you comfy," he mumbled as he began to head for the door. "Be free to do whatever you want with it, it's yours," he held up a weak grin on his face, turning to a flat expression as he walked into his office. "I'll be over here if you need me," he yelled.

When he stood up it took most of her will power not to stare at how tall he was, Niko could already guess he was more then powerful and definitely stronger then her by all accounts but she hadn't realized he was almost a foot taller then her as well. She listened as he explained the different places in the house making sure to keep up with him while keeping a hold on the messenger bag she was carrying on her shoulder. "Sounds like you've got a high paying job and I never once thought you didn't work. As for living alone for being a guy this place is rather neat and tidy though still obvious that you are used to being alone." She knew her attitude towards him had bugged him somewhat even if it was just a little and that was fine with her, she had no intentions of being friends with the man at least that she believed.

When he mentioned a treadmill and weights she studied him closely, due to him only wearing shorts she could tell his muscles were well kept and he seemed like the type who loved to keep in shape and work out a lot. when he left the room she sighed softly shaking her head, "not like I need your help or anyone else's" Looking around the room she placed her bag on the bed then went downstairs and began grabbing the rest of them carrying them up to her room, once all the bags were there she began to unpack and place things where she wanted. Grabbing a few picture frames from out of a bag she stood on the tips of her toes and began placing them, getting to the final one she placed it up there but before she could push it back a bit it lost its balance and came crashing to the floor breaking the the glass. Cursing under her breath she got down on her hands and knees and began picking up the pieces when a piece of glass sliced into her finger causing her to yelp in pain and curse more.

Temp just sat down in his office chair, tending to his papers when all of a sudden he heard a crash as his ears perked up, sprawling off his chair as he got on all fours running into the room. "G-god.. what happened?" He exclaimed, a bit surprised as he saw his niece on the floor with a wound. Before he even asked if she was okay he ran down the stairs, coming back up with a first aid kit and dropping it onto the floor. He kneeled down where she was, cleaning up the rest of the glass as he looked at her with a calm expression. "Are you okay Niko?" he was being sincere as he looked to her hand, cut up and bleeding rather heavily. He pulled out the kit he had laid, keeping her hand in his palm as he looked over it, staring back at her. "This is going to hurt, so just bare with me here," he kept his look to be reassuring as he grabbed the bottle of alcohol, gently pouring over the cut as he then dried it, wrapping a bandage around her palm. "Scared the shit out of me," he smirked as he threw away the broken glass carefully, returning with her sitting on the bed. Looking at her, he sighed as he sat down right besider her.

"Hey, I'm sorry," he paused, putting his furry arm around her as he felt guilt come over him. "You're going through a lot, and I should help you out, what a great Uncle I am," he said sarcastically. He moved his muzzle over to her cheek, licking her playfully to comfort her. He took off his cap, setting it aside as he rubbed Niko's back a bit. "Now then, let's finish decorating this room," he smiled as he began to pick up another frame, this time carefully placing it on the wall as he finished after a few more. "Alright then.. I think that should rap things up eh?" he chuckled as he put his paw over her shoulder. "Forget your mother, she was a bitch as my sister," he smiled, not sure as to how she would take that remark.

Niko almost screamed as he came running in on all fours, she hadn't expected it and she had honestly thought that he was going to harm her. When he asked what happened she merely looked away and hid her hand from him, she didn't want someone's pity and she could handle the cut herself "N-nothing, a picture fell and broke that's all. Shouldn't you knock before entering someone's room anyway?" She watched as he ran downstairs not sure what he was going after but when he came up she noticed the kit and frowned slightly, what did he think he could do? When he knelt down beside her she moved back a little somewhat wary, if he planned on doing anything to hurt her she'd make him regret it or at least she believed she could. Niko looked at him somewhat coldly but showed no other emotion, not even pain. "I'm fine" she knew he was only being nice and part of her felt bad for being so cold and distant but the other part of her continually reminded her of how she didn't even want to be there in the first place. When He pulled out the bottle of alcohol she blinked slightly confused on what he planned on doing with it. However, when it poured onto her cut she cringed and bit down on her lip to keep from screaming as she tried to pull away from him. Even when he was done wrapping it still stung like hell, "I could have done this myself you know" Niko stood and went over sitting on the bed bringing her knee's up beside her as she watched him finish what she had started, she wouldn't admit it but even as a wolf he was rather handsome. Looking at him she blinked slightly confused on why he would be apologizing to her, listening to him she shrugged slightly. "Doesn't matter to me, she can do what she wish and so can that worthless father of mine. Besides you have to deal with what life gives you so it don't matter to me." When he licked her cheek her face turned bright red and she jumped back covering the spot he had looked looking at him surprised. "W-what are you d-doing?!" It had not only taken her by surprise but even though he was her uncle she could have sworn it felt close to a kiss of some kind which she wasn't exactly used to from the opposite sex.

Temp laughed, slapping his knee as she jumped back. "Relax, God. Hehe," he chuckled, messing up her hair as he ruffled it with his paw. He then took a glance at her, his smile turning into a flat expression as he began to say something again. "You know, I have to deal with this shit too, can you at least be friendly?" a low growl left his throat as he suppressed it, giving a hard blink. "S-sorry, not used to company," he shrugged with an uneasy expression. "I deal with clients at home, so they don't realize who I really am, and you're one of the few people I see nowadays," he turned away, standing as he jumped off the bed, scratching his back. "Just.. watch yourself, when I ever get too angry shit might happen," he grumbled. "Go take a nap, you need one," he smiled weakly at her, turning back as he shut the door. Right as the door closed he sighed, then went back to his home office. "Wonder if she'll open up," he smirked to himself. Just in plain sight he knew his niece was beautiful, but he decided it was best not to compliment her as she was like a brick wall as of now.

Grumbling to himself, he slouched back in his chair as he stared at the stupid computer screen. Seeing as Niko didn't come up to him for the next few hours, he ended up dilating his pupils as he growled lowly, banging at the desk in boredom. "God.. nothing is going on," he groaned closing his eyes as he took in a deep breath, getting on his feet as he went over to Niko's room. "Hey, I'm hungry, want something to eat?" he mumbled, rather quiet as he didn't want to disturb her. Hearing nothing, he began to speak again. "Gah, I'll make something for you anyway," he then proceeded to the kitchen downstairs as he pulled out a few steaks from the fridge, putting it on the grill as he got everything prepared. "Haven't had a steak in so looong," he chuckled to himself as he accompanied himself with wine.

Niko blushed a bright red color as he laughed at her reaction, to him it was probably funnier then anything but she hadn't expected it nor was used to such a thing. If she had been allowed a dog or something maybe she would but she hadn't, her mother had been strongly against Niko owning pets didn't want to spend the money that was required to own one despite the fact that Niko herself had offered to get a job in order to pay for the pet herself. Listening to him speak she shrugged slightly, "you probably don't even want me here do you? Taking care of a complete stranger.... besides why should I be nice to someone I know nothing about? And only just met? To me you are a complete stranger, even if I am living with you." When he messed up her hair Niko pouted slightly and tried her best to fix it, she didn't mind him doing so she just had trouble keeping her hair down once it was messed up. However, when he growled she paused and looked at him startled. She hadn't expected something like that to happen, when he apologized she shrugged slightly. "It's no big deal, I'm sure we'll get used to each other at some point." However, even though she said that she kept her distance from him and watched him warily until the door shut. Niko found it funny that he thought she needed a nap, she wouldn't admit that she was tired and was curious on how he could possibly know such a thing. Sighing softly she curled up in a small ball on the bed and closed her eyes just listening to the sounds around her, she wasn't sure she'd be able to fall asleep but it didn't hurt to just lay there right now. Besides Temp seemed to be a bit upset with her at the moment so there was no point in going to talk to him, plus she didn't even know what to talk about with him.

After a few hours of laying there Niko fell into a light sleep until she heard her uncle's voice, instead of answering though she stayed quiet even though her stomach growled in protest. She could have answered him but chose not to and she wasn't exactly sure why, once he went down stairs she closed her eyes again. He sounded like he was in an odd mood and at the moment she didn't feel like talking, of course whether she'd open up to him or not was a different matter. However, after a while the smell of food cooking caught her attention causing her stomach to growl so she stood and opening the door began to head downstairs. Reaching the kitchen she watched him quietly for a moment, she couldn't tell if he knew she was there or not but after a few minutes she spoke up. "What are you cooking?"

"Oh? Gah, making some steak, hope you won't disapprove," he smirked, putting the slabs of meat in his indoor grill. "Would you be so kind to bring down those ingredients up there?" he pointed to the shelf, then to the stool at the floor as he looked at her. "Glad you came down, I'm not the best cook, can you help me at all?" he smiled uneasily as he tended to the seasoning, and then looked elsewhere as he began to prepare a few side dishes. Eventually, he pulled out enough to mix up a potato salad and coleslaw, leaving it on the counter as he tended to the steaks. It took quite some time, and occasionally Niko tended to the meat as she seemed to know what she was doing. It wasn't long before the kitchen was smelling of a good BBQ as he ultimately finished preparing the meal with Niko's helps, putting them down to an organized plate as he set them in front of the couch, turning on the television. As he sat down, he gave a content sigh, looking at Niko with a grin as he saw her sit in front of her. "Sorry, I didn't know if you'd like this or not, seeing as you didn't say anything," he shrugged, scurrying to the fridge and back, grabbing a beer and opening it. It was only then until which he had realized there was a beautiful women in his home, and he felt bad as to not give her his full attention. "Niko, has anyone ever told you that you're quite the beautiful girl?" he smiled weakly, downing a good portion of his beer as he didn't know why he just said that last remark. "I don't see to why you have no.. relationship in your life," he shrugged, taking a bite from the steak as he smiled in satisfaction from the taste.

Niko couldn't help but smile , going over to where he had pointed she grabbed what would be needed. "I'm not a very picky eater so steak is fine, as for cooking I'm not an expert but I know how and it's an easy thing to learn and it is fun as well." Climbing down she set the ingredients down on the counter and watched him for a while before getting started on the side dishes while occasionally tending to the meat as well, "as for coming down you can thank my stomach for that. It smelled food and well here I am" she chuckled softly as she helped prepare the food. "You say you're not the best, do you normally not cook food?" Once done with the potato salad she started in on the Cole slaw occasionally test tasting it to make sure it was well made just like she had done with the potato salad. As she helped cook her stomach continued to growl in protest, the kitchen smelled really good and was making her even more hungry. "I learned to cook for myself once my mom stopped coming home all the time. It was either that or eat take out all the time or starve to death and I really didn't like those options so I began to take a cooking class in school and read books and watch cooking shows and such." Niko knew she was saying more then she should but when it came to doing something she loved she had a habit of talking while doing it, unless it was something that required her not to be talking.

Once the food was done she watched Temp after washing her hands and placing most of the dishes in the sink that had been used to make the food. Following him into the living room she sat across from him with her own food and slowly began to eat, she didn't want to seem like a boy or something to him even though she pretty much ate as much food and yet still kept her figure as it was. Then again Niko couldn't remember there being a time when she was ever bigger then she was now. Listening to him she looked up as he went back into the kitchen to get a beer for himself, "it's fine, like I said I'm not a picky eater I will eat just about anything." she returned to eating her food as he sat back down, absently listening to him talk to her. When he mentioned her being beautiful her face turned a bright shade of red and she started to choke on a piece of meat, swallowing the food in her mouth she looked at him rather surprised as he continued on. "N-no not really why do you ask? As for a relationship most of the boys in my school are players and I'd rather be with someone who loves me for who I am and is loyal to only me then someone who flirts with every girl he see's" Niko looked down at her food keeping herself from looking at him, what he had said had surprised her especially since he was supposed to be her uncle.

"Being a bit too forward am I?" he laughed as he saw her face go red. "Well, it's not needed to be said but you really are quite attractive," he gave off a sincere smile, only passively eating now as he began to pay all of his attention to Niko. "In fact, I'm rather dissapointed I was never able to meet you before, your mother always wanted to argue with me when it came to watching over to you until now. I can understand why, but I never knew her niece was so pretty," he said with quite the toned voice. "Hehe, don't take this in such an awkward manner, we're blood, after all," he held off a chuckle as he took another bite. "Hmph, you really haven't known much of me at all have you? Your mother never talk about me?" he held a smile, putting down the knife and fork as he leaned over the table, as he found her intrigued.

"It's quite simple, actually. You and I aren't actually fully related by blood, or else why would you turn out to be the pretty girl you are?" he smiled, taking a sip from his beer as he continued on. "Needless to say, your grandparents found me as a pup, took me in and raised me as one of their own, and.. that's how I ended up to be here," he leaned back, arms stretched over the edges of the couch with a smile. "And that's how I'm the uncle of a such a sweet niece such as you," he said flirtingly. "I hope this clears some things up," he finished as he continued to work at his meal.

"N-no you're fine" She ate the rest of her food and stood taking the plate and her silverware to the kitchen and placed it in the sink, he was complimenting her and at the moment it almost seemed like he was flirting with her as well. "A-and t-thank you for the compliment" While she knew better Willow couldn't help but continue to fall for the man, even though he wasn't human he was attractive and charming and nice and seemed to like her company as well. "And don't feel bad, she never spoke of my father either" Returning to the living room Niko decided to sit next to him and leaned back into the couch, "My mother and I have never truly spoken though....the last time she showed any true emotion towards me was when I was really little" Niko looked at the glass watching the water reflect the light that was in the room, "she hated me because I look more like my father then her, she hated being reminded of him I guess. Either way it's better that she left and wants to start a new family without me. I'll be fine on my own I don't need a family."

She listened to him talk about himself, Niko was slightly confused about what he was saying. First he had said that they were blood related and now he was saying they weren't, of course she felt somewhat sorry for him. To have been found by her grandparents meant that his parents had abandoned him"Is that so?" She watched him from the corner of her eye as he continued to eat, "they must have been really nice. I'm sure not everybody would have taken in someone like you"

"I-I'm sorry for keeping you confused, it was something to keep you comfortable around me, but I guess it isn't necessary now that I've told you all this," he smiled weakly. "And.. yes, you're grandparents were beyond compassionate," he smiled just at the thought. "Now, enough about me, let's move on to something else yeah?" he chuckled, putting his plate over to the sink as he came back. It was only then until he realized he had been tired by the heat. He looked at his body, finding himself sweating as he looked at his niece. "God, it's fucking hot today," he mumbled, standing up and rubbing the sweat off his forehead. "I need a swim, wanna come along?" he said with a smile. He helped Niko up as he simply went over to the backyard. Yes, it was quite strange for a wolf to be swimming, but Temp had been accustomed to it, swimming being taken in as a hobby now. "I'd love you to join, go ahead and get into something appropriate for water," he smirked, sliding the glass door over as he dived right into the pool.

When Niko had came out, his eyes widened with a smile on his muzzle. "What a body," he muttered to himself, as he swam to the edge, keeping himself up with his arms as he looked at Niko. "You're quite the bunny in that suit," he laughed surprising her as he grabbed her hand, pulling her into the pool laughing. "Whoops, sorry, clumsy arms," he teasingly said. "Couldn't help it, hehe," he lifted her head, licking her cheek again in the same manner as he wanted to know how she would react to it now.

"It's alright, besides when you think about it we both have learned something new about the other person don't you think? And for the moment we are not fighting so there is no need to apologize" Niko studied him then sighed staring into the water again, in truth she had never really met any of her family besides maybe a few cousins and an aunt and uncle. Everyone else was a mystery to her both on her mothers side as well as her fathers. "That's good, I bet it was nice knowing them... I've never met them though... on either side of my parents family. My mother pretty much kept me hidden away from her side of the family and i never even heard about my father's side." When he mentioned the heat Niko couldn't help but laugh, to her it wasn't that hot but he was covered in fur. "What do you expect being covered in all of that fur?" When he helped her up she placed the glass down and watched him walk to the back door, she hadn't known wolves to love swimming but then again he seemed to be more human then anything else. She nodded slightly and turned to go upstairs to change, Niko loved swimming since while underwater she felt so calm and at peace.

Once she finished changing Niko came outside and placed a blood red towel on a chair near the pool, she felt slightly embarrassed looking like this in front of her uncle but at the moment she focused more on getting to swim then him. Her bathing suit was actually a white and red bikini that tied behind her neck and back, even the bottom portion of her swimsuit tied on both sides so if one wanted to they could easily cause her to become naked. Hearing his comment Niko blushed and looked at the ground not exactly sure on how to respond to such a comment, no one had ever said something like that to her before. "Umm...thank you I think... it's brand new since my other one had gotten too small for comfort." Niko squeaked when he pulled her into the pool and when she resurfaced she was about ready to splash him for doing such a thing to her when he licked her again, turning bright red she dove under the water and swam away from him. She knew he was supposed to be her uncle but she couldn't help but feel like she was attracted to him, of course his teasing and flirting didn't help the situation much.

Temp laughed as she dove in the water, but he was able to make out her facial expression as he smirked, knowing she would come back out for a breath. "Something's wrong about this," Temp murmured to himself. Needless to say, he, too felt an attraction to this beautiful niece of his. As Niko came up for breath, Temp caught her in his arms, in a very cute manner. "That scare you?" he smirked, doing it one more time and yet this time he held Niko in his arms. "Hehe, sorry, just love doing that, even being myself I don't do it often," he smiled and then paused, thinking about what he just said. "n-not like that," he chuckled over his nervousness. He didn't want his own niece to realize he had an interest with her. "Be free to come out here whenever you need a swim," he smiled, stroking her hair back as he waddled over to the pool edge. "No need to ask me, just jump right in," he said with a reassuring smile. Niko and Temp continued to play around in the pool for a a good hour or so, until Niko seemed out of breath.

Temp laughed as he picked up his niece and put her to the edge of the pool, her legs still in the water as she remained there drying herself off by the sun. Temp simply put his arms at the edge, looking at her with a warm smile. "Come on now, you can have some fun, even if you're stuck with a stupid wolf like me," he said jokingly, getting up and sitting beside her as he then put his paws under her chin, lifting her face to his. "You'll like it here, I promise," he replied with a happy bark as his tail began to wag. It never did that often but just something about this moment left him content on the inside.

Niko yelped when he caught her, it was more playful then anything else "I'm not scared of you or anything else!" Of course that was a lie but she hadn't told anyone what her fear was, not even her own mother and she had no plans on ever telling anyone. It was a secret for her to keep and she planned on keeping it like that till the day she died. She smiled slightly as he tried to cover up what he had been saying, apparently he had thought she had taken it in a different way then what he had said which was somewhat funny to her so she just watched him and listened. "I'll keep that in mind" waiting for the right moment to come Niko freed herself from her uncle arms and splashed him before swimming away. It was almost like a game at the moment between the two of them, splashing each other, swimming away, him catching her and licking her again which would make her blush and start the process all over again. This went on for about an hour or so and Niko ended up being out of breath

Sitting on the edge she blushed looking up at him as he lifted her face to his, despite being covered in fur and not being human he was rather handsom and from how close she was at the moment he also had, in her opinion, very interesting and mysterious eyes. "It's possible but only time will tell on that one" Niko couldn't help but giggle as his tail started to wag, it was somewhat cute to her and a little funny as well despite the fact that she leaned more towards feline's. Sighing contently she freed her face from his hands and stood stretching, the swim had done it's job and relaxed her but now she wasn't exactly sure what else she should do. There was always the option of swimming more or watching a movie or tv or going on her computer, and soon enough she'd have to also figure out the school situation as well.
