Lox was sleeping sprawled out in the same manner most other neko's would in a locked glass box in the display window of a fairly reputable pet store at the center of a large shopping district. Being one of the many pets and slaves for sale it wasn't common to see a lot of his kind all over the place and even walking with their masters through the shopping district as most faithful servants should but upon closer inspection most people looked for more docile pets due to the warning sign on his cage. Lox wasn't sleeping because he wanted to, it was because the water he had been given was drugged with enough sleeping medication to put him out in an attempt to sell him off while he was asleep. His little sign read "Rare Albino Neko" in the hopes of the store owner to get rid of him but since the company was widely known they could not disregard the advent warning directly underneath of his misbehavior. Unlike most neko's who were selectively bred with their litter subsequently sold he had been caught out in the wild by chance hunters looking for stronger breeding stock, and though this was primarily reason blamed for his inherent hostility he seemed to possess a singularly powerful rebellious nature on his on. Whenever he was placed in a pin with another neko to attempt to breed he'd purposely enrage his intended mate to the point of attacking the handler, he had bitten every single customer who tried to buy him, and attempted to flee or attack the store owner at every opportunity that was given to him. Worse still was his level of intelligence, which happened to be the reason he had been placed in the display box because he had escaped from every other cage in the store. While neko's had the ability to talk no one in the store had ever heard Lox speak, but they were all very familiar with his ability to figure out how locks, schedules for feeding, and even the store hours from his escape attempts. The only reason his cage had a name at all was because of the strange L zero X tattooed on his right hip that was believed to be some kind of serial number for a breeder.
Regardless of the problems he had given the store, they couldn't simply put him down because of his rarity. Just by being in the window the store had a marked increase in sales due to the amount of people his snow white hair, large white ears, and long silky tail had brought in. Even private breeders had inquired on weather or not he was for sale but after finding out how vicious he seemed all had declined buying him on the spot. While the owner did enjoy the extra sales her store was bringing in she long since been at wits end trying to get rid of the bastard cat that had bitten her on numerous occasions. She hated him even if he did look cute in his drug induced slumber because she knew the moment he woke up he'd cause hell when feeding time came around, so for the time being she looked out at the bustling crowd praying someone would take him away while rubbing her still bandaged hand. That by itself kept her in the back most of the time because who in their right mind would by from a pet store when the owners hands had obviously been torn up by the merchandise? Unfortunately for her she noticed the tell tale swaying and flicking of his long tail, a sign he would wake up soon and end any hopes of her freedom this day and promising another hellish night of meowing, banging, and hateful spite from him. It amazed her how short the drugs she gave him seemed to have effect, considering she had given him enough to knock out most of the other pets for well over a day and only worked for about four hours with him. There were customers looking at him through the window but she began biting her fingernails when all turned away after reading the fine print of his sign. Lox was wriggling in his sleep now, curling into a ball and then uncurling as he got closer and closer to overcoming the drugs in his system but the store owners attention was drawn away as the door bell rang signaling a customer coming in.
