Domon had lived a rough life for the past year. His parents had bee killed. He lost his home in the country side and now he had somehow made it to the kingdom. Everyone that passed the young boy ignored him. He had almost nothing to eat except the food he got from one kind lady, but even that was meager at best. He looked around for a moment and saw a man walking down the street with his guards and family. It was the royal family and they were being stalked by a band of thieves in the crowd.

Domon noticed the princess stop to say hello to one of the other towns people when the bandits snatched her and ran. He shot up and tripped the lead man, causing him to drop the girl and land on top of him. "You little brat!" The man growled and punched him in the jaw. Before he could do anything else the captain of the guard pinned the man to the ground. "Good job son." He smirked. "Bring the princess and that boy to the king." He ordered and two of the other guards did as they were told. The boy, barely clinging to life had just saved the only child of the king. He had to be rewarded.

Months have passed since that day that Domon had saved Nicole from being snatch up. She took care of him and they became the best of friends the kingdom has ever know. The princess does her best to keep her friends and her family happy. But when the time came for Domon to depart from Nicole, she grew sad. Since the day the guards took him away for whatever reason, Nicole never seemed to smile again. Her one and true friend in the whole world was taken, and she wasn't given a reason why, not even when she asked her mother and father. From that day Nicole grew hard to the people around them. In many words, she became a brat. She wasn't really, she was just still mad and sad from the day that she had her dear friend taken away from her.

Now Nicole is 16 and she is seen as a young woman from the whole kingdom. Her father most perished gem in the whole world, and yet, there was nothing he could do to make her truely happy again. Nicole never cracked a smiled. It seem that the whole castles and kingdom was run by Nicole's smiled, but since she wouldn't...no since she couldn't, there was no reason to smile. Domon was gone, and she knew that he was never coming back.

The few short months he was with Nicole were the best he could remember. They did everything together, from making trouble to reading books. But it was short lived. The night he was taken away was awful. He felt as if a piece of him had been left behind. However, that feeling was also short lived when he found out why he was taken. He would train as one of the candidates to be her personal guard. It was bitter work, but he did his best and caught on quickly when it came to strategy and battle tactics. Five years into the training he could hold his own against the captain of the guard and almost beat him each time.

Ten whole years had passed and now he was a fine young man. His parents would be proud of what he had become. Only two of the fifty candidates remained and they were on their way back to the castle to compete in front of Nicole so she could meet her champion. His blue eyes stared off in the distance and saw the castle. The mere thought of seeing her again made him smile. He had transformed from a scrawny starved boy to a well built young man. He couldn't help but think how she might have changed.

A servant walked up to her door and knocked softly. "Princess? Your father sent me to get you. You will have guests arriving soon. He said you would be pleased when they get here." He said as he waited for her to come with him.

"Hasn't he not given up yet?! There is nothing that man can do to please me. I will never smile again!" Nicole had tears running down her face. It has been years since she had cried for Domon. Today was the anniversary of when the guards took him away without warning or reason. Nothing she did could make them stop. Nicole's commons were powerless for once in her whole life. Anything that had to do with Domon was kept secret from her. And every time she asked for information about him, no one answered her.

"Princess please, your father wants you to come down. Your guest will be waiting for you."
"Fine. Whatever make my father happy. Because it seems that he can't make his own daughter happy with giving her back...the only boy she loved."

Later Nicole came down in a nice black dress that had a lot of lace around it. Everyone was ordered to wear some kind of black on their clothes because Nicole wasn't not done morning the lost of her dear friend, even if it had be 10 years since the kidnapping. She walked over to her throne and sat down with her arms folded. "Why have you sent for me father? What kind of guest will be arriving?"

As they came to the castle Domon felt nervous for the first time in ten years. They were escorted to the throne room where she waited for them. Each of them knelt before her with their heads down. Domon spared a glance up at her and met her eyes with a smile before looking back down. The other boy, Kurt, was glaring at Domon from the corner of his eye. He was arrogant and had major issues when it came to respecting others. How he had made it to the end with him he would never know.

"Nicole. These boys have trained for years just to get this chance. The least you could do is smile." The king told her, knowing she would snap at him. Before she could however, he told the boys to stand. "These two fine men have earned the right to compete to protect my daughter." He started as his voice projected throughout the room. "Kurt!" The second boy bowed and smirked at Nicole. "And Domon!" With that applause rang through the throne room. "The contest will be armed combat. The first to surrender or is unable to continue will lose. Choose your weapons boys."

Domon saw the way Kurt had been looking at Nicole and it infuriated him. He bent over to remove the weights on his ankles and wrists before taking two reinforced daggers in his hands with steel arm guards on both forearms. While Kurt grabbed a shield and longsword. "On the princess' word you may start." The king looked to his daughter and waited for her to let them start.

Nicole glared at her father when he told her to smile. She didn't know how many times she had to say that she lost her reason to smile. And of all days he would ask her to do so. The day that her dear friend Domon was taken from her. She followed her arms and sat back glaring now back at the two boys. When the first boy's name was called she rolled her eyes but say him smirk at her. This scared her slightly, but she make it seem like it didn't faze her. When the other was called her eyes opened wide and her mouth dropped. Looking around she saw the servants clap and cheer. They smiled and was glad to see him come so far. Nicole sat back dumbstruck. "Could it really be..."

Her father told the boys that they would start on her word. Nicole looked at her father then stood and walked over to Domon. She walked down slowly putting on a show for everyone, yet she still didn't smile. She walked up to Domon and pushed Kurt out of the way. She looked into his eyes trying to figure him out. "Are you really...No. You're not." She turned away and started to walk out the room. "You may kill each other." That was her word for them to start fighting. She didn't believe that that Domon would be her long lost friend. If she found out that her father was behind this all to set up a fake match using Domon's name just to get her to smile, she would never forgive him and never come out of her room.

Domon smiled as she walked up to him, pushing Kurt to the side. Her words however, cut him worse than any blade could have. How could he not be him. He stood there, dumbstruck. The king nodded to the captain, telling him to stop Nicole. He quickly did so by grabbing her shoulder firmly. "Listen. For the last ten years that boy has trained night and day for this. It is the same boy. He has so much drive that it scares me. I dare say he can be unstoppable if you were in trouble. And the only thing he had to keep him going was you. So you will stay and watch. Win or lose. He will be here with you." He told her as he led her back to the throne.

Kurt had not waited for his opponent to be ready. He attacked with everything and Domon was instantly on the defensive. After several vicious blows he saw her watching and smiled. Even if she didn't recognize him. He would win and prove it to her. He was blocking with such force that sparks would fly from the metal. When Kurt got more intense by going for his throat he knew it had to end. Domon turned into a blur of motion. Before anyone could follow his movements both daggers had pierced Kurts biceps, stopping his weapon and shield. Then knocked him the ground, effectively disabling his opponent and winning the match. The room erupted into applause as Domon approahed the throne and Nicole.

((sorry if it's short. Posting from my phone. ))

"You have won the match. Yay for you. I'm going back my room father." Nicole got up from the throne and started to head to her room. She didn't want to be around this so-called Domon any longer. She just wanted to moan and cry her eyes out. She wasn't going to be fooled by everyone that was in the throne room today. Of all days everyone would try to trick her to thinking that Domon was back, that he was really alive that he was really standing in the room right next to her. It was all a lie and she knew it.

Domon's smile quickly vanished as she brushed past him. 'What did I do?' He thought as he bowed to the king and queen before making his exit and wandering into the courtyard. He looked up at her window and saw the old bricks the he had used once to get up there. The probably wouldn't hold him now, but he wanted to try at least. He milled around for a few more minutes before he started making his way up the wall, using his daggers for extra leverage to prevent himself from falling. After climbing fifty feet he reached her balcony and sat on the edge of the railing, unsure of how to approach her. She didn't believe he was alive.

After several silent minutes of staring at the starry sky he turned back toward her window and gently pushed it open. "Nicole? Can I come in?" He asked as he came in anyway. He reached up to his neck and removed a tiny golden necklace. "Do you remember this? You left it in my room the day before I left. I meant to return it to you, but...well you know." He sigh as he handed it to her. "I wanted to come back. I hope you know and I tried to write you." Obviously his letters never made it to her.

Nicole was going to quickly answer no thinking that someone was at her door, but it was obvious that there was someone at her balcony. Which was impossible. On one was ever able to make it into her room from the outside. They were able to make it out though. The only person that ever was able to do that was Domon. She gasped but looked away. Any one could have found the secret after ten years of trying. It wasn't that hard. They have tried everything else, so why don't try something like that would make her even more sad. The memory of finding her best friend gone then seeing him carried off by guards crushed her heart.

Nicole tried to ignore the fake Domon, but couldn't not when he she saw the tine golden necklace in his hand. She turned around and faced him. Tears ran down her face in believing that it was really him. It was really her Domon. He had come back to her. "What where you? You had me so worried sick!" She got up and then ran into his arms crying her heart out. She missed him so much she didn't know if she would be able to stop crying. Reason being because she was starting to get snot all over his shoulder and two: she gets light headed when she cries when she hasn't eaten anything yet. And of course, Nicole hadn't eaten anything since the morning.

Her running into his arms was unexpected, but he wrapped his arms around her and held her as she let it out. "I don't know why they took me without telling us and that was unacceptable, but when I found out why I was there I..." He turned his head away to hide a light blush. "I wanted to stay so I could protect you." He told her. He moved so they were sitting on her bed, so she wouldn't get light headed. He had figured she hadn't been eating right or sleeping well since he left. And judging by how she was earlier, her mood had been off as well. "But I am here now. And I promise that I will never leave you again." He told her as her sobs started to cease.

"You better not!" Nicole shouted then pulled away from him. She turned her back to him and tried to wipe away the teas that was forming in her eyes. Many years have passed and she couldn't believe how much Domon had change. He wasn't the little boy that she knew he was. He now stood as a brave knight that...That grew a lot. His arms were buff and his chest was hard. The very thought of it made Nicole wet. But she shook her head to get the thoughts to go away. Even thought there was no point in hiding it. Mostly everyone knew in that castle that she was no longer a virgin, but she didn't want Domon to know that.

Domon smiled at her reaction and as she turned around he wrapped his strong arms around her. "I won't." He told her as he let her go and laid back on her bed, stretching out a bit. He was slightly tired after the trip and the fight and her bed felt amazing considering he had slept in a cot or on the ground for ten years. His eyes drifted down her body until he shut his eyes to stop himself. But that didn't help at all. He was still picturing her on top of him. His reaction was less subtle than hers as he tried to adjust himself so it wouldn't stick out as much. He shouldn't be having these thoughts about them. He was her champion.

"Where did you go? What did they make you do?" Nicole had so many questions and she knew that he would answer them all when he gets the chance. Because sleep was the most important thing to him right now. She smiled then walked over and kissed him on the forehead. "Rest my champion. For what you have done these passed years, you deserves all the rest you can get. I'll will command the guards to stand by my door so that you can rest safely." She smiled then started to head to the door.

Domon smiled softly when she kissed his forehead and quickly drifted to sleep. After she left he slept soundly for an hour before he stirred. He was still wearing his heavy shirt and arm guards. "Well since I'm alone I guess it should be okay." He mumbled sleepily as he stripped his upper body and laid down on her bed again to try to sleep again. If she came back in now, she would get a nice view of what made her hot and bothered earlier since he made no effort to use her blanket.

"Domon, I have some..." Nicole said as she came into the room, but dropped all the drinks that she was holding on too. The sight caught her completely by surprise. She stared for what seems like about twenty-five minutes. She blinked a few times and almost stumbled over her own feet seeing Domon's chest. It was quite a sight. She didn't think that after so many years, he would be so buff.

The sound of the drinks hitting the floor pulled him from his sleep. When he sat up and looked around for the source of the noise. "Nicole? Whats wrong?" He asked as he stretched and walked over to her. He knew she didn't normally drop anything that she was holding unless she was upset or startled. Once he got over to her, he bent down to pick up the cups and clean up the mess as best he could.

Nicole reach over and touched Domon as he bent over. Well, she started to touch him, but pulled her hand back. His chest was so rippled and masculine that she didn't know what to do. The very sight of his body was making her uncontrollably wet. Nicole stepped back and feel against the door breathing very hard trying to wrap her mind around everything. First her friend comes back, from wherever he was; and now she caught sight of his chest while he was laying in her bed.

Nicole thought she was never going to wash those sheets again, but she knew she would have to be cause that would just be nasty. Nicole felt like she was going to black out from being in completely shocked by everything.

Domon looked up when she touched him briefly. He took a step closer to her and pressed his hand to her fore head. "Nicloe? Are you alright?" He asked as he cupped her cheek in his hand. 'Hmm. No fever...maybe...' He thought as he moved his hand to check her pulse on her neck. "Nicole...Tell me whats wrong." He said as he started leading her to the bed to calm her down. He needed to do something, but what? He didn't understand what was happening with her. He didn't know how else to calm her, so he wrapped his arms around her and held her close to him.

Nicole busted out in a bright rose color the moment Domon hugged her. This was strange, even for her. Why would she be blushing at this very moment. It wasn't normal for her to be blush, and to be blushing because her old friend hugged her? That wasn't really normal. Back when she and Domon was younger she would make him blush, now it seems as the tables have turned. Could it be because Nicole hadn't be around a guy for so long? She haven't really smiled, but she did blush slightly when she saw something that shocked her or was embarrassed. The close contact with Domon was something that made her face heat up! Nicole's eyes got all wide and her breathing was starting to get cut short. She finally pushed away so that she would be able to get herself under control.

Domon heard her breaths get shorter and shorter until she pushed away from him. Even if she didn't know it, she was scaring him. After training for ten whole years, he was failing on day one of protecting her. Taking a deep breath he took her chin in his hand and asked again. "Nicole. I can't help if you don't tell me what is wrong." He told her as his soft blue eyes looked into hers. No matter how long they had been apart. No matter how much his body had changed. Those eyes had stayed the same since the day he had left. It didn't even cross his mind that he was the problem right now.

Nicole looked into Domon's eyes and blushed really hard. He had changed so much that she was actually attractive to him now. Domon seemed so sexy that she didn't know how to handle it all. She turned her head and started to feel her heart rise up in her chest. What was this feeling that she was feeling. Why couldn't she act the way as she did before.

"Domon?"

Domon saw her blush for a brief moment as she turned away and his eyebrow raised slightly. With all of his training and knowledge he didn't understand what was happening. Her voice snapped him to attention and tilted his head slightly.

"Yes?" He shifted a bit on her bed. Finally he could find out what to do to help her with whatever was happening to her.

Nicole turned to Domon then threw herself at him. She literally jumped on him, threw her arms around his neck and started to kiss him deeply. She wasn't sure what was going on with her body, but she knew that somewhere, it felt right. It felt right to kiss Domon like she was kissing him right now. It was like her whole body was saying yes, while her mind was telling her no and to stop. She stopped listening to her mind and started to listen to her heart for once. For years she listen to her mind, and her mind was telling her that Domon was dead, whereas her heart was telling her that he was alive. And the proof was in the pudding. Domon was right here in front of her and she was kissing him with all her might.

Her heart had been right, and if she would have listen to her heart in the first place, she would have had a happier life while she waited for his return. But it was hard not to listen to her mind, because it seemed like the only thing that could happen. Domon was just gone and had left no note to prove that he was still alive. But it didn't matter any more to Nicole. She finally has him back, but not only that, he was her knight and she was kissing him like he was her lover. Her tongue moved around his mouth fiercely as though she wasn't sure he was going to leave her again. She wanted to make sure she felt every inch of him pressing against her own body.

Domon jumped at the sudden embrace and placed his hands on her shoulders to push back. It took a moment before he relaxed and started kissing her back. The last thing he was expecting was for her to be in his arms this way. Especially after the events earlier. His hands made their way from her shoulders to her waist and wrapped them around her. Gently biting her lower lip, he broke the kiss. "Feel better?" He asked softly as he kissed the tip of her nose. He tried to sound like he had been expecting it, but he couldn't hide the blush on his face. He then moved her so she would be laying on top of him as he leaned back on her bed.
