Dylah gave soft ruffle of her wings before returning themto her side. Folding the earth toned wings against the dark brown sides of her body. It was a lazy day for her, like most days. Her bond stretched out on a long sturdy branch of a tree. Basking in the warm glow of the afternoon sun.
A small delight full purr escaped her as her head lolled over a higher branch. her long horns catching, but it was intentional as she allowed the branch to support her head, which allowed the sun to warm and heat the cool scales. With a large yawn, her tongue curling as she then dropped her head. Allowing it to dangle from the branch as she watched two deers pass her by.
Lazy maybe, but like some drakes they like to lounge in the early noon sun, and since she hadn't come across any of her kind in years, well since the death of her mother. Humans and other creatures were killing them down in fear of their strength and natures blessing. Fearing that the Drakes would take the world by force and rule them.
Which was hardly the case. sure a select few had tried, like Dylahs great grandfather, doesn't mean all were like that. Snorting she shook her head t the thoughts and stories her mother told her. Being the only surviving young after a raid on her mothers nest. Which killed 4 eggs that were freshly lain. Her mother exhausted and still weak from the birthing was helpless as attacked.
it wasn't till her mother relocated that she had lain her final egg. That just so happened to be Dylah, a young female who was now mature, and coming into her first season.
Her body lean finely toned with muscles, her main bodiance was a dark brown and the rest of her body, varied in shades of brown. She wasn't very big if compared to the others of her kind, standing no bigger then a large horse (a clydsdale sp?),but almost three times as long with tail.
Huffing she rolled ofd the branch, landing with a loud thud against the ground, startling the deer that had stopped to graze, sending them off into the forest. and she wached them with amused glimmer in her blue eyes, and she began to walk slowly through the trees.
