With the night fall, crickets and cicadas began their soft symphony of the night, small chimes in the warm night. The Dark sky held its millions of stars, unflawed and undisturbed by clouds. To her it looked like the new day would be just as beautiful as the other. It was spring, her favour time of year when everything awakes from the long dead slumber of winter. So rejuvenated, so fresh. Even the animals push the night, wanting to savour every minute possible with the wondrous weather in which the land was blessed with. She ran a finger of a silken bud of a flower, just coming into bloom. A smile playing happily on her face before she continued on her way.
Everleigh woven through thick trees, pausing momentarily to take in a deep breathe. Inhaling the fresh aromas of budding flowers, and fresh flow of the creek that she was passing along. Her Sky blue eyes closing to savour the gentle caress of the wind against her pale skin, and ruffling through the almost white blond of her hair that was cut neatly short. She laid a hand gently on the rough bark of a nearby tree, her eyes opening as they scanned around the forest, Seeing a faint glow in the distance.
Releasing a small sigh she pushed forward, her heart heavy as the lonesome travel started to take its toll on her. She wished she could share the night with someone or something. But no one wanted her company. No beast would stay long enough for her to get close to. Something about Oddities, strage beings intrigued her more then her own kind which cast her out of the tribe. She couldn’t help her likes for things that were beautiful. And with that she never had a chance to have sex. When they see her they ran. Did they find her ugly or did they fear that she would reject them, and in that the fear kept them from staying close. It was quite sad. Confusing in all else. She stopped again. Her nose upturning into the air. The smell of a camp fire lingering on the wind. She followed the scent her foot falls soft and quiet on the dirt of the forest ground. Until she reached the forest edge.
She came upon a small clearing, a small lake resting in its center. A large rock, rose from the shore and cut through its center in a long flat plate. Fireflies wirred and danced as she came near them, fluttering away as she walked with the grazeful sway of her hips. Eyes bright. Maybe a small soke in its refreshing waters would help ease the sore ache through her body.
