Lox was not a very happy man today, and unfortunately for Meric the mercenary who was sparring with him this was made very obvious with how viciously he was smashing the broadsword he was wielding into the opponents shield. That in an of itself was one of the distinct difference Lox had that made him... unmagely as most of the student body was concerned. Strangely enough Lox looked nothing like what a normal person's view of a mage should be, and seeing as he wasn't getting through Meric's defense he continued to prove to anyone who could see him that he looked more like a thug than any mage or warrior. His height might be what some would expect to see in a powerful magic user but the fact that he was a lot more... muscular was what made him stand out from the average students, that added with a berserk temper as showed with tossing away his shield and using both hands to pummel Meric into submission did not help his case in the least. Mages didn't completely destroy their opponents shields with brute force and a lot of anger, they used their magics and intellect to win a battle but it wasn't that Lox lacked either of those. He was extremely competent at a vast number of arcane disciplines and the undisputed best at creating magical items in the entire school, he just had a lot of anger to work out from frustrating projects and snippy bastards sliding in insults when they could. "By the gods thug, does your wrath have no end or do you sleep on a bed of spikes at night?"

Helping one of his only friends up he muttered darkly about Meric being an uneducated bastard that wouldn't understand his troubles, but the man only laughed and clapped him on the shoulder as they headed inside one of the main entrances of the academy for food. Thug was the unofficial name everyone called him weather he liked it or not, and while Meric was his sparring buddy and not a magic user he called him that just to poke an already hostile animal in the side for kicks. "Seriously though thug, that's the third set of training equipment you've ruined by foregoing skill for all out brutality this week! What's eating you?" Agitatedly running his hands through his semi long hair he turned his crimson eyes on his friend and sighed tiredly. "The summer equinox festival is coming up and I'm being forced to attend, that and I found a dead animal in my locker this morning...." Meric whistled low recalling the huge hubab that occurred as he made his morning rounds around the campus. Apparently someone had completely blown up half of the males section of storage lockers most of the students kept their extra books and supplies in during classes. "I would think after the incident in the dormitories they'd have learned their lesson by now..." Shrugging in a defeated way the only thing Lox wanted to do was get some food and get back to the solitude of the lone tower he was put in after blowing up a good chunk of the male living area.

Peace seemed far off though as they walked into the large dining chamber only to be looked at by quite a few sitting individuals and hearing the word thug murmured all over the place. It didn't help Lox's case that being of an unknown decent his hair had the appearance of fresh snow, effectively making him stick out like a sore thumb. "The animal thing I can deal with Meric, It's the mingling with snooty bastards and not setting the festival grounds ablaze that will be the hard part." Shaking his head Meric loaded down his own plate with food before picking a secluded spot for them to sit before replying. "Lox... Buddy. You need something to occupy your mind in a way that nothing gets in. A woman would do you a world of good to blow off some steam but damn there won't be an academy or training equipment left if this keeps going."

Some may be heavily angry. Some may not be able to control their unbelievable anger. Others simply fall prey to their emotions and can’t do anything else but act upon it. Then there are those that have emotions and perhaps they react to them and actually live by them but don’t let it dictate their everyday way of life. Perhaps, there are just those, just like Bly who act like they live in this kind of odd world of their own, created by the extent of their brain, refusing to awake in reality. Those that were the true definition of ‘looks can be deceiving;’ those who looked happy and quite possibly were truly happy but there was still something missing. She didn’t know what, but there was. Even if she was surrounded by those who she could mostly probably relate to, there was still something missing.

Still, in the everyday cycle of daily life, Bly managed to push that aside to focus on what mattered; control. If she could gain control, a lot of stuff would not be blown up anymore and she wouldn’t be close to expulsion all over again. Oh the day that she could walk Andeberry without feeling like its latest criminal would be the day…well it’d simply be the day.

After that last class, the red haired stood and gathered her things, swaying and flying a piece of cloth in her hand, as a dear friend of hers, Lyth [pronounced Lith], caught up with her. She tagged along; desperately trying to gain access into what exactly went through Bly’s mind but to no avail. Sometimes she’d have luck but only for a few seconds before realizing that even if she was close, Bly had no intention to allow her in. Some allowed it, but not Bly, all because she had the ability to refute Lyth’s intentions. It was a beautiful thing really; to be able to block a mind reader out of your mind by pure and sheer will. That was power. ”Come on Bly; why won’t you let me in?”
“No.”
”Just this once?”
Her content look turned into a bright smile, her big almond shaped hazel eyes widening as she shook her head. “No.”
”It’s like your this daft, mental girl, able to blow things up without any sense of—“ Lyth was cut off immediately, just as they were now standing outside of the dining chamber, Bly standing right in front of her, her frail-looking little finger pressed up against her lips, silencing her.
Her face had dropped “Shh. You talk far too much for a mind reader.” Regaining her bright smile, she linked her arm with hers and walked into the dining chamber, proceeding to get food.
”You’re a nutter.”
“I know.”
”What would you do if someone chased you?” Lyth asked.
“Not sure. The real question is why they would?”
”Why shouldn’t they?”
“They don’t know. It’s better they don’t.”
”What?”
“Exactly.” Grinning, plates filled with food, Bly led Lyth towards a table to sit and eat. Their entire something-second conversation left Lyth confused—though that was nothing new—and Bly in full bliss, enjoying her food after spending the day on a half empty stomach. How she missed food.

Lox was still mulling agitatedly over his turn of bad luck when he finally noticed that there wasn't a whole lot of jabbering that usually spewed from his fellow students, and looking up at Meric he took the wide eyed expression and what his eyes were following as a bad sign before finally looking over to his right. There was a dragon in the dining room.... well.... a dragons head that barely fit through the double doors and slithered in to gaze at the students until it was staring at Lox, a sure message from the amused gods that his day was going to get far worse before it ever got better. Dragons weren't exempt from coming to the academy, and even though there were a few dragon teachers morphed into more manageable sizes Lox couldn't ever recall seeing one this big... and size usually meant age for their kind so this one was ancient. But oh why gods was in so damn interested in him, and even though he was looking at something that could eat him he only glared at one glittering violet eye before black mist began swirling around the thing. Shape shifting made Lox's skin crawl, and the woman (Or womanly shaped dragon) that appeared naked in front of them smirked in a none too friendly manner at him as Meric gawked at her. Sure naked woman appealed to him but she could definitely loose the muzzle, horns, scales and giant tail but it seemed the more danger presented to him the more cynical and apparently insane he became.

"You looked better as a giant fucking lizard." If the dragon had surprised people, quite a few mouth's hung open to include the dragon standing in front of him staring all googly eyed at him as his clearly angry voice rang out in the silent dining room. Taking the opportunity to further trample this almighty creatures pride he gave her an odd sort of look as his head tilted ever so slightly to the side before speaking again. "Are you trying to catch dicks or are you confused? Since you've made such a grand entrance what might you want?" Meric had put his head into his arms and produced a noise that made Lox chuckle, sounding somewhere between a laugh and a whimper of despair as he choked out. "I'm going to die, but can't stop laughing..." The dragoness closed her mouth with a snap of her teeth and looked at him with pure venom in her eyes. "You have lost the will to live human." This only made Lox laugh harder as he stuttered out... "Oh no... you would have done so by now but you want something... Dragons always want something when they talk to humans." This seemed to piss the woman off further and Meric peeked at the two of them before watching the dragoness close the few feet between herself and Lox in a matter of heartbeats. The next thing Meric was doing was laughing his ass off and falling out of his chair in mirth, without regard or hesitation because the dragoness didn't kill Lox, she did the one thing that pissed him off more surely than anything else in the world.

"WHHHHYYYYYYY!" Was the one word Lox bellowed as he thrashed and tried the dislodge the dragon that was latched to his back, and somehow the woman had done her homework on Lox because she was biting his head and driving him further into a fit of utter madness. For as long as Meric knew Lox this was far from the first time he picked a fight with some critter or magical beastie just for being arrogant, but for some ungodly reason they always seemed to want to retaliate by biting his skull. While this didn't look too bad as the dragon wasn't biting his brains nothing pissed Lox off more than having something dig it's teeth into his skull. Meric could only laugh helplessly as Lox jumped, wriggled in mid air, and then proceed to thrash and roll on the ground with the dragon still nawing at his grape.

”Oh mon dieu! There’s a dragon in the dining place.” Lyth whispered, her utensil fallen from her hands and her eyes planted on the rather large dragon in the place. Bly, unfazed by it, turned and looked at the dazzling large creature and nodded. “Yes, there appears to be. You spoke French.” Turning her attention away from all the ensuing hustle and bustle, Bly continued eating her food. All the commotion she could hear in the background, she turned into music; a kind of beat that was far more expressive than the nonsensical laughter and ‘dragon’ talk. It all gelled into one being of sound and became something more for her to sway to. While everyone stared and gawked at the true commotion in the dining place, Bly lost herself in different place. Kind of odd, really, though it was nothing new to Lyth. She was far more preoccupied with the dragon, something she wasn’t used to. She probably couldn’t get used to it even if she had been at Andeberry for a while; dragons were those that were truly a sight to behold. Especially when they stuck their huge head and bodies in the dining places while everyone was trying to dine. Kind of hard to not stare. Why Bly wasn’t doing it? No one would know.

”Look, look. She’s biting his head now Bly. Look!”
Bly, unhappy now, being constantly pulled out of her world, let out a small sigh and turned her attention to the naked lady now biting his head. Blinking her big eyes, Bly turned her attention to her food and shrugged. “Wow…there’s something you don’t see everyday. You think she could be immune to someone unwillingly stomping into her brain? Provided she has one large enough to tamper with?”

Lyth gave a face of uncertainty, not sure if she understood a word that Bly had uttered. ”What? What are you on about?”
“You know…if you tampered into her brain. Instead of just reading her mind, perhaps you can will yourself to stop her?”
”Why would I do that? Besides, who’s to say I can even do that?”
“Haven’t you been raving about your extensive abilities to control people with your mind? Or is that all talk and no actionable proof, whatsoever?”
”Tres harsh.”
“Moi?”
Lyth nodded, a small frown coming to her face, she looking down at her food. “Forgive me Lyth.” Leaning in, Bly put her hand on her friend’s cheek and kissed her nose. “You know I adore you.”
”Do you?”
“You wouldn’t be here if I didn’t. Right?”

"Shouldn't someone do something?" Lyth said rather loudly, looking around to anyone, wondering if they'd do something. Bly turned around and noticed the laughing mongrel, finding some amusement out of his mate's current trauma. Taking something to throw with, she tossed it at his head. Not throw, tossed. "Oy, won't you do something? Or do you get a sick amusement out of watching others in clear and true trauma?" Of course though, her tone had dropped, almost into something demonic or dark--compared to her usual cheerful and happy tone of sarcasm.

Meric was brought out of his stupor of laughter with the spoon bouncing off his forehead, and looking at the woman who threw it he gave her a (What the hell am I supposed to do about it?) kind of look while he watched the two of them seemingly oblivious to how ridiculous they looked. It was very undragon like to naw on someone's skull, but it was very much like Lox to become terribly angry at a critter latched onto his back utterly hell bent on chewing on his brains. It was when Lox stretched out his arm that Meric promptly backed away, and with the amount of lightning that started gathering at a frightening rate everyone in a 15 foot radius began vacating as well. Summoning massive amounts of mana regardless of it's type was something Lox was uncannily good at, but the problem was he didn't seemed to understand that some can go a long way with magic. Instead he replaced lengthy casting methods with talent and brute force but the dragoness must have known what he was up to because she stopped biting his skull just long enough to screech at him. "ARE YOU FUCKING INSANE?! YOU CAN'T BE SERIOU..." Was the jest of what she was trying to say before Lox open palmed slapped her right leg. Because she was clinging to him like some wild creature Lox knew he'd get one hell of a back lash, and the only reason he didn't completely fry himself was because he had summoned the electricity himself giving him some immunity to it. As for the dragon she got the full force of it but immunity or not it was still more than enough to blow the two of them away in different directions and catapult them into unconsciousness.

"You daft bastard! You could have killed someone else with that damn lightning! It's a wonder you didn't kill yourself but it isn't like this is the first time you've blown yourself up." Meric begrudgingly pulled Lox off the floor and threw his arm over his shoulders in preparation of dragging him out of the dining area when he looked back at the woman who pegged him with the spoon. "Sleeping beauty here will probably be out for a while, but I have a funny feeling yonder dragon lady will be up and about in a little while if their made as tough as everyone seems to think of them as. Would you be so kind as to mind and possibly clothed the scourge while I drag Lox away? We can meet later on this afternoon when they've had a chance to cool down..." Grunting, cursing, and generally in a bad mood now Meric dragged Lox away towards the private tower that served as his quarters after his old dormitory blew up due to Lox's temper. Though Meric didn't like dumping things on people like that he couldn't help but escape while the gettin was good and hustled his limp friend along with a purpose to get them out of sight. He was not looking forward to dragging the heavy bastard up flights of stairs, but somehow he was just happy he didn't have to deal with the dragon for the moment...

Bly simply turned her attention away from the ensuing commotion in the dining place. His face did not help matters at all; he was at this school for a reason so surely he could have mustered up something to end the stupidity but no. Instead he sat there. Classic. Lyth looked at Bly with a raised brow, curious to know what just happened but she remained quiet about it, only to rest her eyes on the commotion, her eyes soon widening at the pending action. It looked like he was charging up, harnessing an amount of energy of some sort to fend of the dragoness. As she watched, her already widened eyes widened even more—if possible—and she watched in awe as the dragoness was pushed back, along with the doer.

”Bly…” Arousing her attention, Bly looked back, seeing it now all resolved but she was quick to catch his friend’s words. With a small sigh, and while everyone reeled in what just happened, she stood up and carried her plate to the trash, wiping its contents off and simply stacked the plate among the others. Lyth took her last and fast bites and followed suit.

Walking over to the unconscious dragoness, Bly simply stared, before her eyes darted over to random scraps of cloth on the ground. Going to it, she picked them up and then lay them over the lady, tilting her head in curiosity as to what her purpose was before turning and walking off. In the process, she grabbed Lyth, linking her arm with hers and then proceeded out of the dinner chambers and out for some fresh air. Bly’s head was bustling. Far too much noise in there and she needed a release.

”You okay? You look exploding…?”
“I’m fine. Just some fresh air will do the trick.”
”Are you sure?”
“Peachy.” She’d go back there later. Perhaps to see what the fella and his zonked out friend wanted or were up to. That guy, the one with the lightning; he blew things up too, perhaps? She was curious, very curious.

It didn't take Meric too long dragging Lox back to his tower, but he flatly refused to drag him up the five flights of stairs to the very top portion where his room was and instead dumped him unceremoniously onto the large couch located at the bottom floor. Stirring the embers in the large fire place to get the fire going again he tossed a few more logs into it and flopped down himself onto a squishy arm chair to rest a few minuets. "Wonder how those girls are handling the dragon... Better question is why exactly was it so intent on Lox to begin with..." Fatigue mixed with mental tiredness soon coaxed him into a light sleep as Lox wriggled every now and then in his unconsciousness but unfortunately for the two of them it didn't take long at all for the dragon to awake on the cold floor. Most who were still milling about gave her a wide berth as she growled low and viciously at the rags covering her up and tore them away before looking for the bastard who shocked her so badly. Sniffing about it didn't take her too long to pinpoint his scent, and following it outside she found the two girls who had been fairly close to all the commotion earlier and decided to question them first. The first to turn towards her seemed to pail before shaking the other, and Noir smiled deviously at the calmer of the two as she leaned over slightly to look the girl in the eyes before speaking to her. "Quite the brave little thing throwing rags on me and leaving me on the floor in there... But I do appreciate your sense of modesty even if dragons don't really care much for cloths. You wouldn't happen to know that white devil who doesn't have a will to live would you?"

Straightening and looking about for a little while, she brought her left hand up in front of her and with a tiny purple light summoned what looked like a jeweled dragon fly earring and showed it to her. "The only reason I have not to kill him is to acquire the mate of this piece of jewelry that he somehow produced. I was planning on asking him nicely and paying handsomely for it but since he wants to be so very nasty I intend on forcing him to make me another one for free. Can't kill the bastard and keep only this one, it's much to precious to be without it's mate." Strangely enough the earring actually fluttered it's wings and crawled in a circle in the palm of her hand before flying up and slipping a single tiny golden loop through the hole of her left ear stopped and dangled there as still as it had been before. "The man I bought it from said it was the only one of it's kind, and the only way I could get one for my other ear was to find it's maker. It seems I should have taken heed of his warning about the white haired mage being extremely temperamental and frightened of things he should very well be more kind too." Catching the mages lingering scent and that of his friend who had been laughing at the two of them she had every intention of giving that one something else to think about since he couldn't do her any services. Wrapping an arm around each of the two girls, she smiled deviously at the two before she led them away in a manner that didn't brook argument.

"I think having you two along would help in a way, maybe you can convince that friend of yours to just give me what I want before I break his legs.... But that other male is most assuredly going to get something for all that laughter." In a very short time they ended up at the front door of Lox's tower, and without invitation or hesitation kicked the door in and led the girls inside. Meric was still passed out on a chair but from the way Lox was sprawled out on the floor it seemed that he had rolled off the couch at some point in time but oddly enough both were fast asleep and looked comfortable where they were.

”Bly, maybe we should go back in there. If that dragon-lady wakes up, she may be angry and what if she finds us? She may take her fiery rage out on us, in loo of her defeat from that White mage and his friend.” Panic and worry were quite obvious in Lyth’s tone and she simply did not want to be on the wrong end with such a powerful creature. Besides, by her observation, Noir seemed a little—what’s the word to put it nicely—crazy and she met her fair share of crazies and perhaps the dragon-lady was a little bit much. “Oh calm now, Lyth dearie, for you have nothing to be afraid. I’m here and since when have I ever led you astray?” Lyth went in deep thought for a moment, stopping their walking in thinking of all the times, which she honestly could not count, that Bly had led her wrong.

With a deep breath of the refreshing and calm air, she turned to look at her friend. All calm now, and far from any temptation to blow up, or well blow something up, that is. “Well?” She asked. ”I’m counting.”
“Very funny.” With a roll of her eyes, she pulled her friend along and continued walking. Soon with a turn back of her head, Lyth saw the emerging dragon-lady on their path and she turned white, as white a ghost, for a moment and shook Bly. “What?” Asked casually, turning around, and saw the dragoness. No amount fear even swarmed through her for she found nothing to be afraid of. Not even the fact that she seemed to be walking nude with everything out in the open for all to gawk; that is if they were interested in…that.

Putting on that bright smile that usually meant she could not care at all for the other and was about to make a sarcastic remark, Bly just shrugged. “Wow…so kind of you. Not to worry though for no amount of clothing could hide all of…” She made a gesture in showing what she meant before continuing in a tone of disdain. “…that.” Although in ending her statement, her bright yet suggestive smile remained, as if to not chagrin of her insult towards the dragoness. She of course had nothing against any other creature for she saw them in true equality but she simply did not like Noir, without having ever known her. Bly-ful instinct. She earned a nudge from Lyth, meaning for her to cease her sly rudeness, though to no avail.

As she presented them with the artifact to which she had been bonkers over, Lyth’s eyes widened in pure amusement while Bly simply dismissed it with a feigned amusement. “My, all this over a piece of jewelry; you definitely have your priorities straightened, lass.” This statement earned yet another nudge from Lyth, but again to no avail.

The moment her arms came around them, Lyth nearly had a panic attack for she surely thought that something would happen, especially with Bly’s unruly, snide, sarcastically rude remarks to Noir’s explanations. Bly on the other hand, looked to her arm and blinked a few times—actually hoping her blinks would have done something to make her remove her arms but no such luck. From there, the three of them apparently proceeded towards the White mage’s chambers. Bly, taking initiative simply walked in like she wasn’t walking in uninvited, following after the dragoness. Lyth, in an almost desperation attempt to flee, hesitantly walked in, feeling unsure of the entire thing. Such a little worry one. In an instant, both the girls noticed the sleeping boys and Bly couldn’t help but giggle a little bit; now that was amusing, far more amusing than the fluttering piece of jewelry that had instigated this entire ordeal.

”Are they alive?”
“I have a feeling they are, but only for now.” A still amused and giggling Bly responded, looking to the dragoness. She was now sure that this would be an entertaining encounter and actually awaited eagerly for the boys awakening.

[sorry for the long delay. Hopefully it was well worth the wait :3]

If dragons foreshadowed their emotions by the movement of their tails, then the way Noir's was currently lashing about was enough to let the girls know she wasn't pleased to see the two men sleeping after their previous encounter. Upon closer examination of the white haired mage she could understand how the unconscious man had flopped off the couch and sprawled in such a strange way, but the other one seemed to have simply passed out without any worry of an angry dragon on their trail looking for a bit of cruel revenge. Swerving back towards the girls she smiled wickedly at Bly before murmuring softly to her. "Normally I'd be a little more Irate with that sarcasm but I like your spunk little lady, and while you don't seem to know these two if you help me get what I want then I'll owe you a dept of gratitude for as long as you live." Spinning back around she first walked over to Meric and stared at him for a moment with her hands on her hips and her tail nearly knocking over a vase sitting on a small coffee table. The wicked smile that spread across her face showed the idea that popped into her head was no less than vicious, and leaning down to look into his sleeping face she simply pulled her left arm back and punched him directly in the crotch with enough force to produce a low "thump" Meric, not being unconscious and only asleep produced a squeak that almost sounded adorable if it wasn't laced with so much pure agony as to allude to the pain currently shooting through his body. "Not much to laugh about now is there sleepy head." Noir crooned comfortingly as the man curled into an amazingly tiny little ball protectively around his crotch.

Walking away from him she approached Lox and again pondered on how exactly she was going to wake him up. She had the jump on him now but if he wasn't going to even brook conversation if she woke him up herself. The bastard already nearly killed himself just to attack her, so he wasn't scared in the least of preserving his own life but with a sudden smirk her tail stretched out and easily hooked around Bly's waist to scoot the girl over in front of her. "Here's were you can help little lady, just stand right there while I wake up sleeping beauty so he'll be more amendable to talking instead of fighting. I doubt he'll simply attack some random person who hasn't provoked him." Leaning her head over Bly's right shoulder her tail coiled out to poke and gently tickle at his face, getting odd wriggles and strange words in of magic before she poked the tip of his nose hard enough to wake him up completely. This was were things got a little strange, because when Lox opened his eyes to look at the two of them his eyes weren't just narrowed in anger and suspicion but they were also viciously slitted vertically in the same manner as a cat's. When he blinked a few times to better focus his eyes the pupils seemed to round out into a normal human's once more as he frowned at the dragon hiding being the total stranger. "Smooth lizard. Hiding behind some random person doesn't make me like you any more than an insistent snake chasing me." Looking over to where Meric was curled into a ball made a funny face and berated his friend. "So I'm guessing you fall asleep and yonder dragon lady gets a shot at your sleeping ass. What? Did she punch you in the dick?" Looking back at the dragon and the girl in front of her he also glanced at the very pail woman close to the door. "Ok. My name is Lox.... and that's Meric over there in a ball.... and why the hell is their a fiesta of random people in my home if I might ask? Please introduce yourselves, I'm quite comfortable flopped here on the floor."

[It's perfectly fine hon ^__^]

Lyth remained by the door, too terrified and actually feeling rather uncomfortable that they were one, led by a dragoness and two, that they were in someone else’s chambers without being properly invited in. She was raised on a certain custom and to make sure she always had an invite anywhere, probably why she got on Bly’s nerves sometimes when she always made sure that she got the proper words of invitation from her friend. Still though, as the dragoness did her little acts of revenge, she found a little funny, but because the one who had casually fallen asleep for no reason than his friend got a hit for laughing so much, she kept her laughter silent or ceased, if anything.

Bly on the other hand simply stood there, completely unfazed and perhaps more intrigued by the elaborate decoration of the room rather than the ensuing entertainment between Noir and the two boys. Her attention removed from her surrounding when she heard a ‘thump’ of some sort and her eyes landed on the boy who was now formed into a ball, covering his crotch. She snorted nearly and shook her head, smiling brightly—perhaps for the first time in her life as it was a real bright smile. Though it quickly faded for she didn’t like anyone to see that their choices and actions could have affected her in any way. By doing so, she was a very closed off person when it came to any kind of emotions, covering it up and guarding it with an enormous façade.

Looking to Noir, she raised a brow, slightly moving towards by the coax of her tail and she blinked a couple of times. Staying where she and completely silent, she nodded and looked over to the sleeping boy on the ground, watching as he soon awake. Through all the commotion, Bly stayed where she was, still, almost like a statue and remained quiet as a mouse. It may have almost been deafening, even with her interesting features; to have a person stand so still and stay so quiet, it’s a wonder as to what was truly going through their minds and right now, while she looked calm and peaceful, her mind was boiling. She felt like she’d blow up something and it happens so easily because her mind processed everything that happened and more that happened faster than anyone else and too much of it, sent her spiraling into this crazy stupor that usually led to things blowing up and without much control from her; hence why she was at this school. For all her abilities were mind related; it also explained why she was so prone to headaches and migraines.
”Um…I’m Lyth. I was completely against this so if you’re looking to take something out on someone, please don’t look at me.” Her voice even trembled with fear. It was quite adorable and a little hilarious to be honest, especially when her voice goes up and cracks from said fear. She was a goodie-goodie and liked to remain that way; she didn’t disregard the rules and truly followed them to a T. “I’m curious; why does this dragon truly want to kill you so badly? It can’t just be over a silly piece of jewelry—no offense.” Bly added, feigning a smile to Noir. Now walking towards Lox, almost as if purposely wanting to provoke him more than he was, she circled him. “What is ever so special about you?” Usually, when her mind had reached the boiling point of almost no return, the only way she enjoyed to try and calm it out, was release it all and usually in a manner of unkindness or in other words, she became a complete bitch. It was hard to take it seriously too because she didn’t look angry. She looked quite pleased and incredibly happy. But that was not the case at all.

”Bly…” Lyth tried to intervene, though incredibly nervously, only being ignored. “Do you think you’re honestly so special, so interesting that you can go around stirring up chaos? You really think you’re funny? You really think, anyone cares?”

”Bly!” This time, Lyth screamed and with a full confidence that pulled Bly out of her bitchy stupor, somehow managing to calm her boiling mind and cool down the want to blow up, or more so, blow him up. Blinking her eyes, she stepped back and smiled. “Oh sorry. I’m Bly, and you are?” It was like she had no recollection. This cause Lyth to walk to her friend and take her hand. ”Excuse her.” She laughed nervously, not wanting to earn any scorn from Lox or Noir or anyone else. ”She’s a little crazy.” She whispered, away from Bly’s out of tune ear.

Lox slowly rose from the ground and and gazed at the little bitch with a hatred that seemed to have been seething and smoldering for far to long to be expressed towards someone he had just met. But glancing up towards Noir he realized what little jewel she had been talking about and holding out his left hand he watched the dragonfly detach from her ear and fly gracefully into his palm. From up stairs it's exact mate flew down and landed beside it with short flutter of it's wings right before he crushed both of them into ruin, the jagged pieces of gold fixing the jewels and wings together casing small little rivets of blood to trickle down his hand. "This was a gift to someone I actually cared about, and since they pawned it for quick coin do you really think I'd simply give you something that precious to you?" Sprinkling the bloodied and ruined remains of his own art on the floor he looked dead into the girls eyes who had been circling him with his eyes once more narrowed into vertical slits. "Who I am is my business, what other people try to do to cow me like this dragon did isn't something I choose to happen, and smile all you want but I think your just a nasty little cunt trying to hide behind a pathetic, hollow mask." It seemed that Meric had recovered from Noir's blow and rested a hand on his left shoulder as if to calm him down but it didn't seem to work in the least. "Bring me back something worthwhile Dragon, and I'll consider making you jewelery if I think it's worth my time but you can take your bitchy friends and get out of my tower." Without another word he turned away from the montly group and made for the stairs but not before stopping at the bottom of the stairs and stenciling something into the wall with his still bloody hand.

Meric had seen that particular pattern before, and with a quickness he hustled everyone out the door before Lox finished and the door to his tower smashed shut with enough force to break a limb. "Congratulations ladies, I'm happy that you haven't been turned to mush by that blood curse and we've all effectively pissed each other off for no good fucking reason. So since I kinda understand why the hell the dragon was here what's your damage?" It was strange to Meric that everything had almost instantaneously shifted to this girl for no conceivably good reason. Dragons looking for some of Lox's stuff wasn't surprising, the things he made at the top of the tower were both dangerous and frightening to say the least of the few items he had laid eyes on... But he hadn't honestly ever seen any one person get under Lox's skin so easily as this Bly girl did. "Lox will probably go prowling about eventually when he cools enough or you could try and see him now if you both enough hatred between the two of you to try killing each other but how do you manage to get him that riled without even biting his head?" Noir distinctly huffed as she glared at the tower that was currently beyond her access. "Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought blood magic was forbidden to your kind at this school, so anyone wondering why Mr. White up there is using stuff like that?"

Lyth bucked up some courage and stood beside her stupid friend in front of a very enraged Lox; and if looks could kill, perhaps they’d all be dead right now. It was terrifying and Bly would be in so much trouble for doing this, but someone had to stay somewhat sane because she had lost her marbles again, like always after an almost blow-up showdown. Given how much she used her brain because it was the central core of her knowledge and her abilities, it was not so shocking that the aftermath of it all left her beyond loopy and nearly mental. Thankfully for her sake, it only lasted for a while. Still though, it wouldn’t get them out of this problem, or well potential problem because it seemed they were in big trouble, thanks to Bly.

Bly’s eyes sparkled as she watched the mate of the dragonfly earring fly down and join them and then her eyes nearly popped out of her head when he smashed them. “No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” She screamed, causing a slight rumble itself inside of the chambers, though it subsided thankfully as she fell to her knees in front of the bloody crumbles of the two jewels. In this state, she thought they were the most interesting thing. She clearly wasn’t herself though her outbursts were still clearly possible, given the little chamber-quake she pretty much created right then. “You broke it…”

”Okay, let’s go.” With much haste, Lyth grabbed Bly and hurried out of there along with Meric’s efforts and she held her hand tightly, trying to use some of her affect on her to try and snap her out of this state. Bly was simply reeling, her vision going blurry and then back to normal, so fast that it was like a kaleidoscope but they were her eyes. Looking to the man before them, the angry one’s friend, Bly stood there with a bright loopy smile on her face. “I’m Bly. That’s why.” It was her justification for why things happened the way they did, why she blew things up and why she went off on a bitchy tangent back in there and purposely—not accidentally—angered his friend. “And the thing with blood magic is if they catch you doing it, then technically you’re breaking the rule but if you do it and manage to get away with it, then there’s no penalty so crisis averted.” Spoken incredibly quickly as if she memorized that from the actual scroll book of rules of the academy[though that was not true at all], and then shrugging it off, her head tilted and she looked from Meric to Noir then to the ground, possibly the sky or the top of Lox’s tower and then over to Lyth. “What now?”

Lyth simply stared at her, completely baffled by how she was and downright unhinged. ”I need to exercise my right to scream, right now. Take her.” Passing her deluded friend onto the dragoness and Meric, Lyth walked away and shook her head. Bly giggled and she turned and waved by. “Au Revoir mon cherie!” Turning, Bly found herself in between Meric and the dragoness when suddenly something hit her head in the head. Putting her finger to her temple, she let out a sharp breath and swallowed hard, almost feeling like she wanted to throw up. Some people got a rush from standing up too fast. This was just like that, just amplified a thousand notches. Letting out a soft sigh, she shook her head and returned to that kind of gaze, the kind she had before she nearly lost it all earlier. “What are we doing? Who are you?” She asked, turning to Meric, raising a brow. “Didn’t you have a certain angry friend, the kind with the white hair and the something suspicious about him? Mr. ‘I’m-so-special-with-my-White-hair-and-cat-like-eyes-and-unhinged-anger’?” Yes, that was her, returning to her normal state of mind, the loopy affect having subsided when the muscles in her brain relaxed. [I don’t know if there are muscles in the brain. I hope that is a true statement though, if not, then completely disregard that part of the sentence xD]

First Meric and Noir looked towards the poor girl passing off her friend that seemed completely nuts to strangers and making a quick exit back to the one still on their hands that had gone from bitch, to spazz, and back to what appeared to be some kind of neutral. "Yes his name is Lox and you just thoroughly pissed him off enough to cast a blood curse that nearly pulped all of us before spewing everyone out of the front door in a chunky mess. That friend?" Noir took the girls cheeks into her hands and looked into her face with her head tilting to the side somewhat before speaking. "I don't think your head's on quite right little lady, but then again most mages are screwy in at least some ways but if we do go visit him try not to completely enrage him this time. I don't think it's entirely your fault but you did seem to add quite a bit of fuel to his fire." Looking back at the tower Meric sighed deeply and wondered exactly what he could do to help expedite his friend out of such a dour mood and looked to the dragoness and the spazz in turn finding absolutely no help from the two of them. "Well... best thing you can do Bly is apologize to the guy and be done with it, that should at least get him settled but I'd suggest getting your head on straight for the task. Something about you grated on him the wrong way and he seems quite a bit more moody lately." Beckoning them to follow it could just slightly be heard under his breath as he grumbled and checked the door ("I swear he gets like this every other month at the same time.... Maybe if it was monthly he'd be a woman instead....)

Taking a peak into the interior before entering Lox normally didn't have to worry about people he jettisoned from the tower because most people wouldn't be stupid enough to try and get back in. But since Meric was one of the few people who knew Lox to some degree he knew that the mage was most likely to have conked out for a while to try and cool off. Leading them quietly up the stairs the second floor seemed to be reserved as a kitchen, and oddly enough not only were the windows and counters festooned with numerous potted plants but there was a lot of different things both growing and stored that seemed completely off for a guys kitchen. Pulling a chair for the dragon and finding a pot of mint tea already boiling Meric poured a bit for the dragon before taking Bly further up the stairs. "If were going to get anywhere all you have to do is apologize and he'll simmer but you have to do it without anyone else helping you. Hopefully if you can get him to calm down he'll consider giving the dragon something to send her packing and we can all be on our marry ways but for gods sake try not pissing him off further." The third floor was an arcane room with varying equipment and books but the final top floor he led her to the door and turned her around to look her in the eyes for a final warning. "Just apologize to him and I'm sure he'll wake up and listen to you but for the love of all that's holy don't touch ANYTHING. There's stuff in there he makes that looks COMPLETELY HARMLESS and is capable of blowing up entire castles! PLEASE, just apologize and be done with it! Hopefully he'll just pluck something from somewhere and give it to yonder dragon downstairs."

Stoically walking back down stairs to leave the girl at the cracked door Meric sat down in the chair opposite to Noir and drank his tea with a look of despair on his face. Either Lox forgave her or he'd blow the entire tower up with all of them in it, and with a heaved sigh he wondered what he did to deserve all this. Unfortunately for him though the moment Bly opened the door she'd be confronted with the most curious collection of objects that literally everything in Lox's room screamed to be touched and fiddled with. From every color of metal to every rainbow of jewel there were objects all over the place that ticked, clicked, and even chirped without cease and nothing could be determined by just looking at each unique device. There were what looked like bronze eggs that rolled in odd little circles on the main desk, disks of gold and silver clicking away on the night stand, little birds of platinum and steel fluttering around over head and upon the bed smaller and even more delicate looking devices surrounded Lox's sleeping form. He didn't seem to move while he slept, probably a learned habit after destroying on of the things he was making but something was distinctly wriggling in his hair that seemed out of place until more closely examined. Hidden amongst the messy white hair were protrusions that were quiet like the ears of a cat, ears that would go notoriously well the slitted pupils he had earlier that came every now and then with his emotions flaring but the question was how he got that way and what someone would do with that knowledge.

Her slightly narrowed when the dragoness grabbed her cheeks, she almost tempted to bite her but refrained. She was no animal. Just crazy. Though she probably shouldn’t say that allowed, even if Lyth had already said it, though Bly did not remember. She probably wouldn’t for a while, as it is. Both of them went on about how she pissed of the other, known as Lox. It was annoying at how many times they both said it and how many times they were pushing it. So what if she pissed him off? What is he, some kind of magnificent mage of a holier power and stature? Please, he was just another temperamental mage with as a quick fuse like Bly. Big deal and the fact these two kept droning on about how she seemingly pissed him off—which she did not see the big deal of because he seemed to get pissed at everything anything—the amount of the times she was processing that in her already throbbing brain, it was summing up another outburst, all of which happened a lot. They were being annoying and she wished she could blow them up, just to cease their constant complaining and downright fear. They seemed to fear Lox’s anger more than anything and it was pathetic. To say she was annoyed right now, was a complete understatement. Bly did well to keep her annoyance hidden and remained with that neutral expression on her face, walking back into the building, following Meric as he led her up higher.

As she ventured higher up the building with him, he continued to repeat himself in the same annoying way and it was driving her slowly crazy. Soon arriving at the door that led to were Lox was, her hands clenched into fists, hearing him drone about it once more. It looked like she was steaming now, her face nearly full red as if she had just reached her boiling point but she forced herself to stay calm otherwise she’d kill them all. Lox wasn’t the only one they needed to fear. But if that’s how they wanted it and to treat him like some highly piece of godliness, they better not expect it from her. It’d be the last way she’d ever treat a guy like him.

Slowly, she walked into the tower and shut the door quietly behind her leaving only a crack. As she walked through the place, she didn’t notice any of which that could have caught her eye, which should catch her eye had she been normal. She never was, so all the little trinkets that were floating about and such, it did not faze her. Bly continued on towards the sleeping mage, until she was standing right beside him. Her eyes looked him over, noticing what looked to be ears but she thought nothing of it. Nothing surprising, nothing truly impressing. He was just another one. Big deal. Clearing her throat loud enough, she poked him--more like prodded him—continuously until he woke. In her mind, she was mulling over the idea of apologizing to him. She didn’t think she had to, neither did she see why or what the point would be. If that was how things rolled out between him and his friend then it was clear he was a total sadist and liked to reign over his supposed friends. She would not give into that, because she honestly saw nothing wrong in her previous actions. Perhaps he should be the one to apologize for using a blood curse on them for it was totally uncalled for and unnecessary.

“Hello!” She spoke loudly, not at all taking into consideration his probable desire to sleep. He needed to wake and not sleep. He slept enough, in her opinion. Alas, she continued her poking on his arm, using more force now. Now that, was amusing her.

Lox was being poked by something, which he thoroughly ignored to the utmost of his ability because it could have been one of the numerous little creations flying insistently into him or otherwise something that normally prodded him in his sleep. But as the poking became more intently and a loud "Hello!" sounded so close to his sensitive ears it turned out that they really were cat ears that stood up a good three inches above his head when perked up by the noise. From around his waist a tail began swishing and coiling in an odd way with both having small black stripes running down the length of the appendages, but even though it made him more comfortable not having to keep his ears and tail hidden the insistent poking was driving him further and further out of sleep until he looked up with bleary slitted eyes still hazy with sleep. When Lox was sleeping or just waking up he wasn't totally in control of his more... interesting features or instincts, and leaning his head to the side he actually nipped at her hand with teeth that were a bit to prickly for a full humans but actually purred in an odd contented kind of way because the scent tickling his nose was something he could really get used to. It didn't register he was nipping someones wrist, and instead of waking up he simply curled into a ball and continued his half sleep with his tail flicking out every now and then behind him. Earlier he had been severely pissed, and the only thing that really calmed him was to sleep it off even for a short amount of time. As much as he wanted to continue his comfortable sleep the poking continued in vigor, and he was tempted to nip the pestering prodding away until wakefulness hit him like a lightning bolt.

His eyes flew open and in one jerk his whole body had shifted back a good foot from the intruder of his room, his tail fluffed out until it was just one long fuzzy mass three times it's normal size and his ears were pinned back as he glared at the woman standing beside him. The same bitch who blamed him for causing an uproar, the girl who basically said he was an attention whore with no right to stir up trouble and now she was here, seeing something he had kept so closely guarded for the few years he had attended the academy. "What the hell did I do to you?" He demanded, looking more like he was going to bite her than actually use any sort of magic against her. "Why?" He was simply dumbfounded that someone could so persistently try to piss him off when it was obvious he wasn't pursuing a motive for revenge or a personal vendetta against them. This wasn't how he wanted to be found out, hell he hadn't wanted anyone here to know a god damn thing about his extra features until he was long gone from the academy with the writ of approval giving him leave to study on his own and create as he pleased. He had been banished to the tower because he didn't get along with people but GODS why had the total screw ball show up in his room after he TRIED to forcefully eject them all from his tower? He felt like doing a who lot of biting and venting but he knew there was no way he could bring himself to something like murder... so how in the nine hells was he going to get her to keep her flagrant mouth shut about this little discovery... "I don't suppose you could just... NEVER SPEAK of the ears and tail could you?" He nearly hissed at her in his turmoil at possible expulsion for lying about his species upon entering the academy.

Bly tilted her head, watching him with a faint curiosity and interest, something highly unlikely for a girl who saw no interest in anything, for example the very attention-catching objects floating and bustling about in his room. Still though, as she saw clearly now his cat ears and his tail, she leaned in, her eyes narrowing. She nonchalantly pinched herself wanting to clarify that she was indeed awake and not dreaming or imagining anything. It did not come to her attention that such a species like him was forbidden in this school. Other things were present in her mind but she had no idea that he was technically there illegally. She knew of course that there were creatures like him inhabiting this oh so interesting world but never had she seen one so up close. Still though, it didn’t dawn on her what exactly made him so special. It wasn’t resonating why he felt the need to be an incompetent ass and why she felt he seemed to act like he was some holier-than-thou creature; why the dragoness and his friend, Meric, especially, seemed to emphasize the wrong in angering him so. Everyone had a temper and Bly was perhaps the first to understand that for hers would probably be the death of her. What was so special about him?

The moment he nipped her, she couldn’t help but smile, for watching him in this way was quite refreshing. For that moment as he nestled in his sleeping stupor, she saw someone different. If ever he was a calm being, this is what he’d look like and it was new. Of course, she had seen him around on campus though nothing struck her fancy towards him until now. There was such calmness within all of them and it was perhaps her first experience in a long while to witness it. However, her smile instantly faded when he bounced from his slumber and huddled himself against the wall. It was kind of like he didn’t want to see her in this form—though she had—and she didn’t want him to see her smile and actually mean it. They all had their reasons and if she saw his secret, she couldn’t let him see hers. She didn’t even let herself see it and made it a life purpose to avoid mirrors for such occasions other than to fix anything appearance-wise.

It suddenly angered her, his reaction though she was quickly able to defuse it. Moving onto her knees on the bed, she rest her hand down on it and then used her other to bring a finger to his lips, silencing him after his final word to prevent him from speaking another. “Shh…” Letting her eyes roam over his features, she just tilted her head and then shook it a little. “Why, you ask? Because I can. Just like you. What did I ever do to you, you ask? Nothing. It’s not a crime for someone to want to make amends?” Her voice was soft and gentle with a light airiness, like a feather. So light, so calm—the calmest she had been for a while—and airless. “I will not apologize and I wouldn’t ask you to apologize for there’s nothing to apologize for. I don’t apologize for my behavior because it is simply me and you shouldn’t apologize either. No one should apologize for being who they are.”

Sitting back on her knees now, she rest her hands in her lap and shrugged her shoulders upwards just a tad. “You’re interesting.” Though not for his species; not for his ears, his tail, his eyes or his prickly teeth. Just for being him. “Still though and don’t take this to offense, but what exactly is special about you that has your friend seemingly fear you and the Lady Dragoness after your hide? Why do they see it but I don’t?” It was a major belief that she saw herself as normal because how she was is how she always had been and never did she find anything wrong with it. She knew that she was rather crazy and with how much she had to use her brain on a regular basis, it was quite understandable—though to those who didn’t know her, it probably wasn’t. And because of this belief, she saw him no differently than herself. They were normal, in their own way.

Lox calmed significantly with the touch of her finger against his lips, and unfortunately for him he inhaled quickly with that touch effectively filling his head with her scent. For some reason the way she smelled mad his head fuzzy, especially after he had just woken up and it took him a few seconds to digest what she said and exactly what she had asked him but he was silently for a little while. He actually curled into a smaller ball with his tail wrapped around the top of one ear and down his back as he seriously thought about weather or not he should tell her more than what she already knew, giving her a better hold over him besides already knowing he was at the school illegally. With a deep sigh and burying his head into the sheets for a moment he looked up at her with a more than a little bit of apprehension and a touch of suspicion. "Meric's just a little edgy that something here will make me snap... He's been my friend for a long time now and he doesn't want me to repeat what happened a few years back... During the species war that ended three years ago the only reason I can think of why it stopped so suddenly was because of the explosion at Pikes valley..." His eyes slowly roamed up wards and his head tilted ever so gently up to look at a large glass cylinder that was at the head of his bed, and etched into it were numerous tiny sigils that alluded to some sort of reaction that was supposed to take place within the glass container. "Meric was a mercenary then too... and I sort of used his help to plant one of those things in the center of the valley before the battle occurred. I think he's afraid I would set one of those off again if I lost it here, but I wouldn't do something like that again... I think they stopped fighting because both sides lost too many people in one battle..."

To have a temper was one thing, and to be proficient at magic didn't help in the least but the fact that he had somehow managed to build a bomb that further cratered a valley was more than enough reason for someone to be wary of a bad tempered mage. But since then Lox hadn't even attempted to perfect the experimental device to yield a better explosion, the first had been more than enough to deter him from ever pursuing such things again. The thing that was really getting to him was why exactly was he telling this woman all of it? Maybe it was because her insanity would discount such a ridiculous claim as a student of the academy annihilating two separate armies in one go but proof enough rested just beside Lox's bed to remind him never to repeat such things again. Or it might just have been because she was just as depraved as he was and could understand what might drive him to make such a weapon. Regardless as utterly mad as it was he was telling her the truth about what was really eating at him, and it kept coming as he sighed and continued. Uncurling from his spot he reached over the side of the bed and slid a long wooden box out from under it to lay beside him and opened the lid, releasing a plethora of tiny gold and sliver critters to tumble out and meander around the sheets of the bed. "I think she wants all of these... I wasn't referred to go to this school because mages guilds require a full examination before joining so I kinda... payed my way in by selling these little guys to nobility who fancied them. All the money I got almost always came from a private source so she could have been buying all of it secretly or maybe she just came across that dragonfly by chance and found out who was making them. She sure as hell took the time to figure out who I was to track me here..."

With all that being said Lox left off talking to idly toy with a little tiger prowling about on the sheets, and by the way he cut off his explanations there was something more he was hiding but was unwilling to say at the moment. He was sure every sane person would have taken his words for complete bullshit but Meric had a good reason to try and console his friend even if he had told him he wouldn't repeat the past. "Why is your friend so skittish around you? I can see easily enough that your not what others would consider normal but you've got something your keeping hidden away too. I told you some of my secrets, and you stumbled on one that I've been trying to keep for a long time. It's only fair to share some of yours, that way I won't feel so worried. I doubt anyone would believe you if you told them but I want to know you a little too..."

Now, as they both had calmed and were facing each other, she awaiting answers to her many questions, Bly moved to sit on a slight side of her bottom, resting her legs to the side of her [ http://www.ivytrailsgarden.com/ProdImages/26225thoughtfulchild.jpg just like that] allowing herself to be comfortable as she awaited what she felt would be an interesting story. If anything, even as a child, she always fancied a lovely story, no matter how dreary it may be. She’d always find a story lovely for the very enjoyment of imagining exactly how it could have taken place excited her and her mind. It was in a way that was healthy for her imagination and for her brain as well. While her brain did work to imagine it, it was in a calm manner that did not ignite any anger or outburst that could cause them any harm or peril if triggered enormously. When he began to explain, starting from why his friend seemed to fear him or at least be weary enough to the war and ending with the explanation of his trinkets and inventions, a true look of fascination and amazement swept across her face. It was odd because normally and like earlier, she tended to show no emotion or reaction for such things but right now she was taken away from his story. Part of her almost didn’t think it was real but then she read his emotions from speaking it and in the aftermath of saying it; it let her know that what he was saying was indeed the factual truth and not a single lie.

For a while, she remained quiet, allowing her brain to quickly process all he expressed, it resonating within her and causing an honest understand. It wasn’t any form of pity at all for she did not believe in the word or action but truly understanding him. Many had disturbing pasts and his seemed to still haunt him and disturb him, especially if he felt the need to be carrying it after all these years. Though with what had happened, she understood completely why he carried it so heavily on his shoulders. A difficult burden to bear but everyone had those. Even she. Perhaps not as intense and tragic but dangerous enough to have already two strikes and on the borderline of expulsion if one more strike occurred. Hence why she had an equally weary friend to help her stay in line. If Bly were to be expelled, she’d have nowhere to go.

“Wow…”For the moment, it was all she could get out since she wasn’t entirely sure what to say to such a thing. She wasn’t even sure what to say to her ordeal when she was a child and to her indiscretions at the academy. Her eyes turned to a little butterfly jewel that fluttered onto her knee, she finding a kindred spirit in it. Running her finger lightly over it, she looked at him and let out a gentle sight. “I still don’t understand why you had to smash the dragonfly and its mate. A true tragic tale.” Yes, because everything he explained wasn’t tragic itself. It would be something for her to state over the obvious. It wasn’t that she dismissed his tale. It was that she did not let that secret of his change her view about him or at all alter anything she could feel towards him. It read off of her so obviously just in her simple body language or lack there of that she understood and therefore was not pushing the matter or reverting back to her earlier bitchy testaments to his characters.

What took her off guard next, however, was him asking her to share a secret or two of her own. She didn’t have many, just a few which haunted her and actually resulted in her feeing of something always missing and knowing that it’d always be missing. She never was able to connect the dots as to why something in her was missing but there was a reason for it. “She doesn’t fear me. Lyth is a mind reader and she is able to so easily access anyone’s mind, even against their will or without their knowledge but she can’t with me. No matter how hard she tries, she never can and she doesn’t do it to invade any privacy but only because she knows there’s something that eats at me everyday for the past ten years. It’s more than the occasional combustion of several academy building and structures—to which I’m incredibly close to expulsion for. It’s something that happened when I was a child; I suppose a tantrum gone incredibly awry. It didn’t lead to death but it led to permanent insanity and why this is truly my only home, at least for the time being and I can be on my own to take care of myself. I don’t purposely blow buildings up or cause them to combust. It’s just a lack of control which I have not yet mastered. To have a brain that almost has a mind of its own and accelerates any kind of emotion ten fold, it’s not a burden but it definitely doesn’t make anything come easy.” She couldn’t bring herself to simply blurt out what she had done for just saying it caused her too much pain. By masking that pain under a perfectly clever façade, it made her living all the more easier. “With Lyth by my side, my dearest friend who honestly tries her hardest to put up with my antics and continue to remain by my side, everything is easier. Living is easier, finding the courage and control to not cause any more destruction is becoming easier. But I can’t depend on anyone forever. That’s what I need to learn. To control it on my own without any one person.” With a light shrug, she looked down, breaking her gaze off of him and fixed it on the butterfly jewel which she now picked up and held in her hands.

“Truly remarkable, this one is. All of it.” Everyday, she refused to let the true sadness within her consume her. Everyday was a battle with her own self. She was insane, in a sense. But all for good reason. It was a different insanity than what she inflicted upon her parents. This insanity was the need for happiness and for it to negate her incredibly strong sadness and negativity. The day it would subside--well it was light years away from ever happening, especially at this rate.

If the need for a subject change wasn't eminent, perhaps it would be now. "How did you cope with it? With all that happened to you?"

Lox was silent for a long moment, and even his nervous tail tip that had been flicking about now hung totally limp as his ears drooped lifelessly on his head. There was a lot of pain in the look that crossed his face for just a moment, and his injured hand from destroying the dragonfly clenched so hard that it began to gently dribble blood once more until he stopped and laid very very still. "There were good reasons to do it... the war ended with one blow and both sides retained a good deal of their forces without anymore bloodshed... but there was something else that helped me get by. I won't speak of them again, please don't ask..." It was obvious the thing he truly did bury was quite deep, and it seemed to effect him more profoundly than using such a terrible weapon against so many people but he didn't have it in him to simply drag something he had stashed away out into the open easily but the only clue that remained was the tiny ruins of a dragonfly scattered about inside of the box where it had fallen apart at the loss of it's mate. Looking back up at her he noticed how gently and affectionately she cradled one of the butterflies in her hand to better examine it, and with an awkward little smile he stroked his fingers along it's back and watched as it fluttered up to the neck line of her cloths before coiling it's tiny legs into the fabric and securing itself there, gently fluttering it's wings ever now and then as if it were about to fly away forever. "Meric is the only friend I have now, and as wary as he is about what happened he doesn't have anything to worry about me using such devices again. But it doesn't help that he's a worry wort that laughs at others distress when it strikes them as funny." The time to change topics couldn't have come sooner with the somber and sad exchange the two of them just shared together, looking back down to poke at a little tiger that started attacking his index finger he smiled ruefully at the thought of how he was going to convince the dragon downstairs that he wouldn't part with his little toys for her collection.

"I don't think that other lady down stairs will be very happy that I'm not going to give away all of my little creations for nothing more than boring jewels or gold but I guess I do have to replace the one she bought. I'm still mad at her for biting my head though.... bastards have no idea how much it hurts having really sensitive ears trapped between skull and teeth." His tail seemed to have gained and now wriggled freely behind him as he poked and prodded most of his creations back into the box before slipping it back underneath his bed. With all of the critters gone only the butterfly on her shirt remained, and fluttering about in front of them was it's mate that refused to go back into the box. His tail slid forward and up just far enough for it to land on the tip, and he smiled genuinely as he looked up at her. "They never go back when their mates are out and about, but you can keep that one as a gift. It suits you quite a bit in my opinion." For one Bly really was a cute woman now that he was really examining her face, and it did look lovely on her but for Lox her personality matched the creature more than anything else. She could be focused when she wanted to be but he got the undeniable feeling she was just like a butterfly floating about and drifting where ever the winds took her, that and there was no telling what a butterfly was up to in there happy little worlds. Twitching his tail tip Lox noticed that the critter on his tail didn't simply float away and start fluttering again and throughly flicking and wriggling his tail he tried pulling it off and quickly withdrew his hand when the tiny little legs had coiled tightly around this tail. "Great. It doesn't want to let go and it's going to be a pain prying it off without destroying it. That or keeping myself from crushing the little guy when I hide my tail." It seemed that lady luck was just trying to find reasons to bitch slap him today, but hopefully for his sake there would be some silver lining to look forward too. He did find Bly, but looking up at her curiously once more he smiled shyly for a moment before murmuring gently to her. "Do you think we could be friends Bly?"

In agreement with him, she didn’t want to pry more information out of him on such a dreadful topic. It seemed quite obvious that it caused him a lot of pain not only to harbor it but to actually speak of it. For her, when she actually spoke of something tragic, it became difficult because it was like acknowledging that it actually did happen. Telling him about the incident involving her parents was the first time she spoke of it since it happened. Harboring that for so many years and not once speaking of it was incredibly difficult. Now she knew just how difficult it was to actually speak of it and still she could not actually say the words, ‘I drove my parents insane with my mind.’ It was like acknowledging it and all this time, she happily believed that they were perfectly right in the mind and left her in the care of her Aunt and Uncle to go travel. And that’s how she’ll remain to see it, forever.

Looking to him for a moment and then back down at the butterfly, she watched as it flew and landed itself comfortably and agilely on her shirt, securing itself there. Tilting her head a little it and keeping her eyes on it, she ran her finger over its shiny surface and then looked at Lox once again. “That’s lovely though; to have a friend you can always trust and through it all they’ll be there and you’ll be there too. I think it’s truly lovely.” Sure, she did consider many things to be ‘lovely’ for she used that word incredibly loosely but this was one of the times that she truly believed his friendship with Meric was lovely. Of course she wasn’t insinuating that they were anything more than that—no of course not—but to know that a friend who knew your faults and knew the things you could do yet wanted to stay and still be your friend, it was a cherishing thing. Sure, Lyth had her moments when she could not stand Bly and she was sure that it happened while Bly was in her loopy state but she never could blame her. The fact Lyth put up with more than half of the things that Bly got herself into was enough to never blame her or be entirely cross with her.

“Perhaps you should give her something, that way she’ll be on her merrily way. Perhaps forever.” She sang, lifting her head up slightly to let her eyes look on him, just so he wasn’t always looking at her head or talking to her head the entire time. For right now, she was incredibly taken back with her butterfly. Soon enough though, her eyes watched the butterfly’s mate remain out of the box and she giggled a little bit, shaking her head. Reaching over, she held Lox’s tail in her hand gently and rubbed the little butterfly that latched itself on it with her finger. When that did nothing, she pursed her lips and took the butterfly she was wearing and took her off and held it in her hand, near the butterfly on his tail and watched as it slowly detached itself and flew towards its mate on her hand. For now, she held them both in her hands, watching them in pure awe and delight, another rare emotion to be read across her face. Anything truly happy was a rare sight to behold. When one lives under a façade for so many years, it eventually sticks and everything else becomes forgotten.

That question struck a posing interest in her; the possibility of they being friends. Sitting up and letting the butterflies sit on her leg, she pursed her lips and nodded slowly, as if the question just processed itself into her, allowing her to actually dignify it with an answer. “Perhaps, for I don’t see why not. Although I’ve never had a…man-cat-boy-male-friend but I do love new things!” It was in that moment, she smiled a real bright smile. It was definitely different than the snide and sarcastic bright smiles she gave her entire life. This one was a real smile and when she realized it, she covered her mouth with her hands, as if not wanting him to see her smile. Sure she did actually smile when he was asleep but he actually saw it and that worried her. All because of the fact she was showing emotion. It was a bad thing, she believed. “Oh no…” Something about him; just being there and sitting with him, talking, there had to be something about him to make her smile a real smile and actually have him witness it. What was happening? Was her…façade melting?

“What are you?” She whispered, uncovering her mouth for that second before covering it again. She was completely taken back and not believing this. He had to be something other than what he was to have made her smile.

Lox twitched ever so slightly when he felt Bly held his tail gently in her hand, doing his damn best not wriggle or squirm on the bed as she helped detach the little butterfly from his tail tip, and smiled at the look of joy on her face as she watched them dance in the palms of her hands. Hopefully she hadn't seen too much of his twitch, all of the extra features he had were usually sensitive at best and extremely touchy at worst which was part of the reason why it drove him utterly insane when something bit his ears. What truly made him grin like a cat was seeing her own bright happy smile that she soon covered with her hands to hide, but after seeing it he had already decided to make it his business to try and make her smile like that a lot more often. They both had their own dark secrets, things that they buried away but still haunt there minds in gloomier times but even though he could see quite a beautiful woman beside him when she wished to be he was taken aback by her next words. It seemed that somehow he was able to undermine her outward shell and get to the real Bly she kept so closely guarded, and while they shared some of their darkest moments it looked like he really did find a kindred spirit to be his friend. Uncurling from his spot he slowly moved closer to her in the smooth graceful way only a cat could manage before looking into her startled eyes just a few inches shy of each other. "I'm just a lonely ally cat Bly, and I think I'm going to love being your friend but maybe it's like the old saying goes. Every witch needs a cat for her house, maybe I'm supposed to be your cat." Raising himself up a bit he very gently tilted his head and smoothly nuzzled her forehead with his soft right ear, purring in a subtle way before crawling off the bed and pulling the box of critters out again.

"I have a funny feeling that she won't be satisfied with just one pair, and I'll be damned if she tries to take more than just two but I'm responsible for destroying that other one so I guess fairs fair." With a hand to help her up he looked about the room one last time before taking some of his more fragile trinkets off his bed and putting them to the side before heading down stairs and closing the door behind them. When they did reach the kitchen where his friend and the wayward dragoness was Lox had a mind to flatten his ears once more and coil his tail around his waist underneath his shirt so they wouldn't suspect anything but snorted at the sight before them. Meric had seemingly passed out again and was sleeping with his head in his arms but the dragon being bored was poking him with the tip of her tail to get him to wriggle, and even slap at himself to deter a pesky bug. "I would think after what happened earlier he wouldn't sleep in the presence of a dragon." Noir looked up at the pair and smiled deviously. "He didn't go to sleep, I found some sleeping herbs on the wall when I was looking about and slipped them into his tea. He was all dreary and moppy so it's more fun playing with him like this." With a few swift pokes she had him nearly thrashing before the effects of the tea kicked in to continue his deep slumber. Rubbing his eyes tiredly he looked around and found one missing from their earlier encounter and turned to Bly. "Speaking of friends, where did yours run off to? Was there too many shenanigans for her to deal with?" Looking at Noir he caught her beside Meric about to invade his personal space and more than likely traumatize him with her tongue poked out towards his ear when she spied the box and left off tormenting him.

"Oooooooh. What's in the box?" Figures she'd come away with anything Lox was carrying, so with a heavy sigh he placed the box on the table and let the critters inside loose to roam about it's lenght. "You can pick only one, and it's mate will follow it but no more!" It actually made Lox chuckle to see a pair of swans apparently nesting in Meric's hair.
