Chak overlooked the crowded bar in the most crowded part of the city. His coal black eyes picking out details that others would miss in the dark smoky bar.
His slim body was poised at a railing, and his right hand stroked his pet,
Nivi, seated quietly next to him. His hand slid from her head to her neck and a razor sharp nail slid into the top of her shoulder, cutting half an inch deep. His aristocratic face gazed down at her appreciatively. She was nearly a perfect companion for him. After he fed and was calm, he might even feed her once. Of course...she'd have to beg. He withdrew his finger very slowly, letting her heal behind.
He wanted no loose blood in this place. He and the bartender had an agreement that was difficult to regain. "That one." He pointed out a well fleshed redhead. Not terribly pretty, but of a full figure that would contain even more blood. She would likely be an easy one to take. She was alone, and no one was paying her attention, sad how others could not detect her naturally delightful scent that almost had him drooling.
Nivi's invitation to meet her brother would allay suspicions. She was so cute and innocent in appearance. Only he knew the wild beast that lurked behind her soft smile...the beast that he loved to draw forth.
"Bring her to me, tell her of my loneliness for my deceased wife, to whom she bears such a striking resemblance...that I hardly ever reach the mansion, as I loved her so, and that when I saw her standing alone, my heart flew to meet her. I will let you have a tiny drink of her Nivi....and if you behave well, maybe a bit of me. Go now...do NOT fail me."
