Connor yawned as he left the bathroom, wiping his wet hands against his pajama pants so his mom wouldn't complain about him using her "fancy" hand towels again. This was his life; bending to the whims of all the women around him, his mother included. At 20 years old, going to community college for a degree in electrical engineering, he thought that things would change from high school. Life after high school was supposed to be all flighty responsibilities and sleeping with hot chick after hot chick, or at least he'd have had a girlfriend by now but no. Things were basically the same as they were in high school, boring, dull-drum, and sometimes even embarrassing when Connor told prospective dates that he had a "curfew." Well, not a curfew, but his mom worried...
Most recently Connor had asked a girl named Ella out, and she had actually said yes. Not that that part was too surprising. Connor wasn't a total loser that he had never been on a date before, he had had a few in high school, the real problem was afterwards. He could get as far as the first date, but that's when things usually fell apart. What could he say? What did they want to hear? There never seemed to be a right answer, and after nervously fumbling for a few hours, the girl usually left, called him the next day to say they'd make better "friends" and he would rarely see or run into them again. It was nothing specifically wrong with him, or social problems he had... he just got nervous.
And he lacked aggression. The truth was that Connor was too good of a person, and sometimes to date someone, you had to push them, tease them, and Connor just wanted to listen. Women liked listening, to be sure, but they also liked a man to sweep them off their feet, to act, to be bold! These were concepts lost on Connor...
His boring and trite life aside, Connor was generally happy with the way things were, and his life was not ready for any sort of new drama or rocking. Little did he know, that all his problems were about to be replaced by new, more complicated, much sexier ones, as high above in realms of existence he could barely understand, a hunt had just ended. A demon had been caught by an Angel and a punishment was going to be lain upon her that brought light into Connor's being he didn't notice when he pulled up the covers to fall asleep.
He had no idea that a demon had just been enslaved to him.
