Sara was nervous, she had been trying to get the nerve to knock on her brother's door for the last hour. She knew Dominic was busy, being a senior and in their family, studies was paramount.
She straightened her white cotton blouse and her blue plaid skirt, she was still in uniform being too edgy to really change and settle down. She had just received her second F for an Algebra quiz. If she fails again or gets any grade lower than B, she would definitely the class.
She made sure her shoulder-length hair was neat and tidy as she knocked on the door. "Hey," she called out as it opened after a knock or two. It wasn't shut tight.
"You got some time?" she timidly asked as she peeked inside Dominic's room.
