Note: This is a roleplay that involves multiple areas, though at first there is only one. The events set forth here are the backstory and can be referred to at any time if one so chooses.

Also, the Guardian race is a fictitious race that has no similarity to Angels or Demons. They are of my design, and for this who wish to play as one, consult me directly in this request or in a PM to obtain their differences from the above mentioned races as well as humans.

Well with that out of the way, on to the story...

There is one world: Earth. Billions of people, plants, and animals inhabit it. The world is technologically advanced rapidly over the course of 200 years. Considering where it began...this is only a small step to something much, much larger.

Parallel to Earth lies a second dimension, Genesis. It is Earth, but in a more advanced setting. Here, magic exists and can be used in many varieties. The people here have many shapes and forms, as do the plants an animals. But something here sets it apart form our Earth. The technology here is far superior. Time travel is now possible, people have the ability to jump across the parallel dimension, and teleportation are only Genesis's small steps. Genesis has helped our Earth in many ways. They gave us fire. Helped create the machinery of the Industrial revolution. Cars, planes, rockets all existed because of Genesis.

But all of Genesis is not pure. There is a faction, the Lenados, that believes that Earth is inferior. It is too weak and separated amongst itself. If not corrected, then Earth will no longer exist. The rest of Genesis, now called Guardians say that all Earth needs is guidance and more support. This of course creates a Civil War. The battle was large, many died by the day, and there was no end in sight to the vicious manslaughter.

As a last resort the Guardians sent a few of its greatest leaders and soldiers into Earth. Their mission: to warn them of their impending doom from the Lenados. Earth ignored the pleas, calling the Guardians a cult. They were shunned and outcast, forced into hiding among the humans there. They soon forgot their purpose and tried to start anew. The soldiers and leaders, created families, lost in the world that surrounded them.

Lenados took the opportunity and struck. They killed as many Guardians as they could, destroying Genesis in the process. On the brink of destruction, the Guardians moved en masse to Earth. The movement was know as the Great Divide. Unfortunately, the Lenados followed, and their war with them.

Earth was in shock. The rapid increase of the population along with international crisis lead to another world war. This time it was Earth versus the Lenados. Billions of lives were taken. In the end, the Lenados seemed defeated. But they were prepared for such an event. They forged as much power as they could into three artifacts. The artifacts would then be used again to resurrect the Lenados when the time was right. But they would only work on specific humans. Those humans were created from the Lenados, each marked by a special mark.

Unfortunately, the Guardians were almost wiped out. They too, placed their powers into artifacts and created several children to carry on their legacy. In the leader of the Guardians final breath, he sealed all the artifacts away and tried to wipe away all memories of the humans. He only partially succeeded. A few did remember the conflict and passed it on to future generations.

Mark of the Guardians

250 years had passed since the ending of the war. Humans have long forgotten the deeds of the Lenados and Guardians, simply causing their near extinction another world war. The Lenados and Guardians were now only legend, a select few only believe in it still. But trouble arises again as the world Genesis has sent forth the creatures it created, attacking Earth. Chaos again struck the world in full force. The marks of Guardians and Lenados began to arise, the artifacts beginning to call out their users. Genesis was calling back its people, ready to be recreated anew. The war that would begin would determine not only the fate of Genesis, but the fate of Earth and all who inhabit it.

Guardian:

-Biology: Guardians are humanoid in appearance. Most changes are noted in genetic structure. Tougher bone structure, higher muscle density, and enhanced senses. Are able to transform their body into multiple forms.

"Other side": Each Guardian has two sides to themselves. The first is the primary, considered the "normal" or unreleased state. The released state, or "other side" is a near polar opposite of the norm. For example, if a Guardian were a calm, level headed person, the released form would be more wild, but not to an extreme. Every Guardian holds overbearing protection over a loved one.

Forms: Each Guardian is born in a human like appearance. When they mature they pick a form they wish to morph into. This new form usually becomes the new norm. The appearances Guardians can take are limitless. However, there have been no reports of a feral Guardian (sorry guys, maybe later).
Side note: In terms of aging, a guardian ages at 1/4 the rate a human does. So one human year is 4 guardian. Though they are known to live much, much longer. But there is a time period where their visual age "locks", or they stop aging. This is what they will look like for most of their life, or until they decide to change their form, this is separate from the physical form or "other side" appearance.

Reproduction: Guardians can birth young within a matter of days, or up to the 9 months a human does. However if born sooner, the female has an addiction to the male and will constantly try to seek pleasure. A Guardian can birth multiple young without issue, nor do their stomachs grow to large sizes (unless you truly want it.)
Intercourse: Part of the Guardian race is of course the breeding quality they all share. They have a high fertility rate, yet the population remains small because of conflict. They are excellent love makers, always willing to try new things (a living rule 34). Both genders don't have a gag reflex for this reason, but for an unexplained reason, they can still choke on food ad drink. Guardians are also super sensitive and tend to go into heat more frequently than a human would. But this doesn't mean they are sluts (for the most part, it is rare that they are). It happens in order to speed up the reproduction process, but can be exploited for sex. Another thing is the Hermaphrodite, there is a larger amount and they are not sterile in any way, able to both bear and give young.

Other: In their released state, Guardians can choose to have wings, tails, claws, fangs, or any other appendage or physical form. Some can change from their norm to a completely new body.
Guardians have several tattoos that are on their body. One reflects their personality of the normal state, and usually covers the body. Example: A calm Guardian may have water or smoke as the tattoo, reflecting the calmness they have. The tattoo starts at the center of the chest and/or back and spread out. This tattoo also is in constant motion moving in reflection to said personality. The second tattoo marks their lineage, though shows less freqently after the Great Divide and the subsequent war with the Lenados on earth. The final tattoo marks the bond with their mate(s) (does not include fuck buddies). There are also tattoos for the Guardian or personal benefit but aren't as significant as the other three.

Thank you. I want it to be free roam with a couple of plot driven ideas, but this will be pretty big if done right.

It sounds pretty epic really. I love the history in this plot, not a lot of people bother with that anymore. I'm glad I stumbled across this thread. It's a wonderful Idea and I'm actually chomping at the bit, so I'm in

Oh and BUMP

You can have a soldier, only I wouldn't recommend using one at the start.

Try a more fantasy based character.
