Pulling on the straps of her black leather bound boots she frowned, it had been a days hike from her village to the sight of the Crystal Barrings and now here she was, practically on top of it and she couldn't get up the damned hill. Pushing her long black hair from her brown orbs she kept her full lips pushed together in thought. There had to be a way to climb this hill without dropping her great grandfather's great sword of the sea. The length of the weapon stretched along her back, her curvy body wrapped in assorted leathers of deer and elk, her skin kissed from years in the sun making her a beautiful almond color. Using a spare piece of rope, grabbing a stone she secured it to the rope and flung it to the oak resting on top.

It took one or two tries but victory was at last hers and climb she did, making her way to the mouth of the great cave. It was legend that inside the black depths stood 8 crystal that granted life and good fortune to the wearer, this was her mission. Bring one crystal back to her father and join the clan of warriors that ran through her blood for years. "Well here goes nothing," with a huff she adjusted her full breast within her top once more before stepping into the blackness that would grant her a new life.

The cave was vast and wide, small rays of the sun managing to illuminate a few feet in, though the further inside the darker it grew. One would have had to have been very foolish to come without torch light to this place. In the very heart of the cave, there was a glowing light, it's eerie aura would have frightened most. The crystal stood in a stone pillar carved by nature, it's power appearant by it's appearance. Several small shards of it had broken off over time, possibly by other adventurers or natures own cause for the flecks to scatter along the base of it's perch. All one simply had to do was grab a nice piece and quickly leave the cave, at least that what it seemed.

Hidden from the glows light, another being was there. Its skin shimmering like small stars as the light glanced off the scales. The dragon breathed slowly as it slumbered, it's broad sides falling and sinking as it snored. However his eyes popped open, the venom green pupils glowing faintly in the dim light. He heard something entering, possibly another foolish human. He was due for a snack though, he lifted of the ground, stretching his limps, he stood taller then most trees, before he climbed up the nearest wall, hiding up above to observe the new intruder.

The length of the cave was unmeasurable by the human eye, though she could guess that it stretched wide over the vast area it was said to cover, she could only hope that the crystal wasn't found in the very darkest, most deepest regions of the cave. Though knowing how legends went and how the earth often worked she had a feeling that finding it wasn't going to be as easy as she might have hoped it would be. Reaching into her pocket she pulled forth a flint, grabbing the large stick from her sack she struck a fire against the wood, illuminating the dark passage with an eerie orange glow.

The inside of the cave was normal for the most part, nothing to really tell it apart from any other cave around the area though she guessed the energy within it was higher than usual. Keeping her eyes alert she began her search, looking through the various piles of rocks that she really couldn't tell as to why they were even there. The cave floor was smooth and flat, not a single jagged thing stood out to poke her, and it had strange grooves and swirls within the dirt, as if something had been dragged through it over and over. Shaking her head she let the thought go, "No need to cause yourself nerves Aelia, no need for that at all," she tried to remind herself, not wanting to come home empty handed and shameful to her father.

He moved along the ceiling carefully, his body close to the rock as he hugged onto it with claws and muscle. His body was pulled in close, making him seem like he was one with the cave itself, his scales shifting in color to only help the illusion even more. He heard a voice, and he was surprised to hear a maiden above all. He licked his lips hungrily, maidens tasted far better then men, and most of the time he did not have to crack open that disgusting metal armor to get at the sweet tender flesh. He however was very patient as he waited for her to come closer.

Slowly me began to shift softly along the ceiling as she draw closer and closer to that accursed gem. He had been charged with guarding it for deeds of his past. He was only thankful so many tender morsels wanted this thing else he would have been ragged and thin, not fit and strong like now. He made his way down towards her. "Lovely isn't it?" his voice sounded, it was gentle, but sounded rough. He was still out of sight to her though.

The closer she got to reaching the jewel the more he blood boiled, she could sense it's energy and eventually it came into her view. The torch failing in comparison to it's glowing purple beauty, it was magnificent. nothing could look as good as the crystal did and finally she understood why her village had sent her for it. Legend had done the sight of this no real justice, it was far more precious than any storyteller could speak of and far greater than any smoke display from an old Wicca could conjure, it was simply out of this world and here it was staring her right in the face.

Jasmine nearly fell over as she jumped from the voice behind her, her body twisting around in a desperate display to find out just who was talking to her. Was this place cursed? Had there been someone else looking for the very same stone and she didn't know it, she wasn't sure but she knew that she better be on the defense. Unsheathing her sword she waited for the man to come forth, to show his ugly face so she could cut it off in one swipe of her mighty sword.
