What's the longest song you've ever heard?

One of my clients is a Wagner fan. Many of them are hours long.

Longest that can really be considered a single track? Thick as a Brick (part 1) by Jethro Tull at 22:40.
 
Appalachian Spring, Aaron Copland. I'm talking about the orchestral suite, not the ballet. It's 40 minutes long.

The only reason it's split into parts is because it was originally on vinyl. The whole album is one song, clocked at 43:28, and is my answer as well.

Second place goes to Echoes, by Pink Floyd, which is 23:28
 
Jethro Tull is easy to make it through. What's annoying is when it's on the radio they only play about 8 minute snippets of it. Annoying to hear the DJ say "And here's Thick as a Brick, minutes 12-20" or so.

Easy, listen to them while driving or at work. The other drivers on the road must think I'm insane since I treat my car like its my own personal portable concert hall. One of these days I'm going to tape a camcorder to the dash and film myself singing (badly).

Arcturus, I agree. Its like when they go to play Blinded by the Light and only play the beginning few minutes of it. If you're going to play a song, play the entire song. Homeworld (The Ladder) by Yes comes to mind as well, the radio edited version is around four and a half minutes, while the full version is nine and a half, and the song really doesn't make any sense unless you hear the whole thing.
 
Most of my favorite songs run between 9-16 minutes =P.

Longest songs for me is 10,000 Days by Tool and Implements of Destruction by Chimaira. 10,000 Days clocks in at 11:13 while Implements of Destruction weighs in at 13:30.
