His world was that of lies and deception. It wasn't ever really said that one wasn't to betray or deceive their own people, but sometimes... well, sometimes there were those who needed to be told. L'garth was a large creature, and in the past had been viewed as a trustworthy and honorable demon... Which was vexing in the way most demons saw such things. Many disliked that he was so prone to give his word, which is why, when it came to it, he did the wrong thing now and again, just to do them when no one was looking.
He stood on the riverbank, his eyes transfixed on the creature before him before he sank into the water, soundlessly approaching. He disguised himself as the swirling depths as he rose, slowly coiling and his body unfurling from the water. he made his face solidify from the coiling shadows that usually made up his body between planes; The shifting nothingness committed nothing to anything, never took a solid form or set shape, it simply swayed and changed, darkening a spot for only a moment. For the first time since he'd entered the aria, L'garth turned to his physical body and stood before the escaped creature.
"Last chance," he said, his voice dripping with honeyed words. "If you come with me, I'll keep you safe. If you don't, I can't help you," he told her. The shape he took was the handsome male he'd become in the underworld, though not as ostentatious as the others, he was still a medium-sized man with respectable human features. He had no need to inspire terror in men, with skulls and animal like features. He relished in the chance to defy other creatures. It was what made him happy, these days. The face he now wore was the face he'd been so honest and trusted with. If he'd been human, he supposed he'd have wept with guilt over it. Instead, he held out of his hand. "Come."
