Maya dropped her backpack onto the ground and joined it quickly after with a sigh of relief. She'd been walking for what seemed like hours, but she couldn't possibly live with herself if anyone saw what she was about to do. She kept trying to convince herself that she shouldn't be embarrassed. After all dozens of sources and breeding manuals all claimed this was a common method for training Pokemon for breeding. She adjusted herself to sit on her feet, and removed her jacket. Then reached into her bag and pulled out a Pokeball.
She looked around, double checking her surroundings. She chose this area because it didn't have a lot of indigenous Pokemon living nearby. And it was very far from town. It was a nice, comfy little clearing with a thick layer of spongy moss growing on the ground. A couple broken tree trunks lay scattered about, long since overtaken by said moss. The sun filtering through the foliage made it comfortably warm, while the shade kept it from being to hot.
"Ok Maya. You can do this. After all he's a friend right? He needs your help..." With a deep breath she pressed the button on the front and tossed it into the clearing. Waiting as one of her favorite teammates burst forth from the ball, materializing into a full grown, evolved Rapidash.
"Hey Dashimus! How are you feeling?" She liked being polite to her Pokemon, treating them like people with respect and compassion. She felt it greatly helped them through their adventures. She very much loved Dashimus, he was a pristine example of his species. His muscles well formed, his flames quite intense. In fact she had to go out of her way to afford a method to bypassing that obstacle. She had acquired an oil she had already applied to her skin that neutralized flame powers for a few hours. It would let her stay close enough to do what she needed to.
