Sylvia Mercer stood staring in the mirror studying her reflection. The profession black pant suit did nothing to accent her curves. She was average in looks, in her opinion. She had medium length wavy red hair. She always wore it down and hate the way it looked up. It framed her face making her large green eyes stand out. There was something delicate about her small frame that made you want to protect her.

The phone rings startles her out of her thoughts. "Christ." She muttered leaning over the back of the couch to answer it. "Mercer." She states simply. "Yes Mr. Adams, I am on my way right now." She hangs up the phone and grabbing her purse and duffle bag she walks out of the appartment.

It took her about 20 minutes to make it to the grave yard her client was meeting her at. As she was pulling up, she could see Mr. Adams and his attorney standing some feet away waiting on her.

"What is the job today Syl?" A deep male voice comes from her right, making her jump. "Dammit James." She snarls at the ghost sitting next to her. "Don't scare me like that."

"You'd think you'd be used to it by now." James muttered floating out of the car. She grabs her bag and slides out slamming the door. "You'd think" She muttered walking towards the men. "Mr. Adams, so good to see you again." She called.

Alexander Perliski watched the graveyard with an expression of casual disinterest: a clove cigarillo held idely between the gloved fingers of his left hand, and his other hand resting on one side of the handlebar on his wide-glide Harley motorcycle. He wore a leather jacket, as was safe practice when riding a motorcycle, strapped riding boots, and denim jeans. Underneath that jacket was a black shirt, with a white skull on the front, and "Death Before Dishonor" in latin beneath the skull in gothic-style lettering.

Raven-black hair was tied back in a pony-tail and his green eyes scanned everything about the scene. He wore wrap-around usnglasses to hide his eyes given what he was currently doing, so that nobody could see that three black slits had extended from each iris to the edge of the colored circles of his eyes: enabling the warlock to see any spirits in the area . . . which was why he was there. As a warlock, he found himself having a knack for anything supernatural, and when somebody went around raising the dead without the consent of local authorities: they called on people like Alexander.

It was his job to watch the girl, see what she was going to do, and once he had proof that she was raising the dead without appropriate, legal state consent: he would move in to arrest her.

"Come on girlie." He whispered lowly to himself, "Do your magic so that I can do mine."

Sylvia shook Mr. Adams hand and smiled. "If you gentlemen take a step back, we can begin." As they move back She opens her bag pulling a large knife out of her bag. She takes off her jacket and lays it to the side. Slicing her hand she touches the grave of Julia Adams. She then walks a circle around the grave closing the magic in. "Julia adams, I call on you." She says as she closes the circle and the majic is complete. The ground rumbles gently and slowly spits the body of Mr. Adams wife. A few more seconds pass and she regains her personality. She turns to her bag and pulls a scarf out to wrap her hand. "You have half an hour." She tells the men before she walks a little but off to the side.

"That was a bit tame." James told her floating in the way that ghost seemed to. "She was only 3 days dead. No Big deal." She told him.

"Well thank you kindly." Alexander smirked.

He tossed his clove cigarillo to the ground and started his Harley. It let out a deep rumble and the rear swerved from left to right for a few seconds before he shot off out of the side-street he had been parked in. He angled for a spot between the car and Sylvia in order to cut them off. As he approached, he slammed on the breaks, turning to the right as he did so. Leaning forward, he caused the rear tire to lift in the air, and when it landed he was facing back in the general direction he had come from. Putting down the kick-stand, the warlock dismounted the bike and took off his sunglasses to clip them on the neck of his shirt.

"Ms. Mercer, I assume?" He asked rather casually, "My name is Alexander Perliski; I work with the Federal Department of Health."

"And?" She mutters to the man. She really hated when she was startled and this was the second time today it had happened. She holds a finger up at Alexander. "Hold that though." She walks up to a sobbing Adams and shakes his hand and his lawyer's before quietly laying Julia to rest.

She walks towards her car gesturing for the man to follow her. James hovered beside her whispering. "What does he want?" SHe shrugs and puts her jacket and her bag in the back seat. She takes off the high heels she was wearing, sighing with relif as she did so.

"Ms. Mercer, you . . ." He then looked to James, the three sliits currently visilbe in his eyes enabling him to see the ghost in perfect clarity (without them, James would have been a bit . . . fuzzy), ". . . and you're friend; are both required to come with me.

He leaned back on his bike, leaning on the seat with his arms crossed.

"You are charged with practicing dark magics without a locally authorized license." He shurgged now, as if he didn't care about the outcome of the choice he now gave them, "So if you're willing to come with me then we can get you your fine and license, however, if you don't . . ."

He let his sentence trail off as he watched her.

"Wait you can see James?" SHe askes startled yet once again. "And what do you mean I dont have a license? Rasing the dead is my job."

She stands with her hands on her hips. "I was never told I needed a license."

"Ma'am, you don't think they'd hire just anybody for this job, do you?" He asked.

He didn't move from the motorcycle for the moment.

"Ever since 1992, when the rate of supernatural activity spiked, the federal government has started instituting a licensing system, but given the lack of man-power: I guess word down's get around. Besides that . . . wait a second."

Alexander raised a hand as he stood up, taking a step towards you.

"Did you say that you make a job out of this?" He asked, sounding somewhat concerned.

"Yeah. I'm a natural born Necromancer. Therefore job." she tells him laughing a little. "Why are you going to tell me I'm unnatural?"

She hops up on the hood of her car, relaxing. She could feel every corpse in the graveyard. The power giving her energy and making her body hum.

"No: now I'm going to tell you that I have to bring you in for the sake of your own safety." Alexander replied, "You are in very serious danger."

He glanced around quickly, as if looking to make sure nobody was listening, and then he continued.

"Do you have any idea how many enemies somebody in your position makes?"

She scoffs at him. "Your blowing it way out of proportion."

James hovers close to her and mutters. "This guy gives me the creeps."

"And how do I know you are who you say you are?" She asks as an after thought.

Alexander sighed, rolling his eyes in irritation.

"Fine." He muttered with irritation.

Fishing inside his coat, he retrieved a badge. Holding it out, the gold-colored metal glittered slightly in the lgiht, and it seemed to buzz lightly with a magically enhancing aura. Once he had given her a few moments to look at it, he once again tucked it back in his coat.

"The name is Alexander Perliski. I'm a Warlock, and as I said before: I work with the Federal Health Department. In the office for Supernatural activities." He still spoke in a casual manner as before, now retrieving another clove cigarillo, and a silver-colored lighter from his jacket.

He lit up the cigaraillo and put his sunglasses back on.

"Ms. Mercer, you are in very serious danger right now. There are a lot of people out there who would love to abuse your powers and a whole lot of spirits who don't take too kindly to having been raised from the dead. Some of them actually enjoy the rest." He crossed his arms once again, "So now I'm asking for the sake of your safety, that you let me keep an eye on you."

"Keep an eye on me?" She laughs, "You don't need to do that?"

She turns away. "Gimmie the fine or whatever, I dont need some man to watch my back whether your a worlock or not."
