A beach-side is the vast configuration of shore or the share of ocean and land, the merging of two elements, the constant pull and push of a balance. Where land slips into the cool water in a smooth and slick way and ocean beats a rhythmic drum against the earth, but no matter what the two bring balance to one another, like as a sun rises and sets and night upraises at points. The wondrous mysterious world below and the complexity harsh one above, two balances to the world, and yet both bringing a sense of longing and calamity to the other. Which brings this character at this particular place, for the longing of his opposite world, peace.
The sand of the shoreline leaves perfect prints in the ground floor when walked upon, the soft crunch of the small grains are the only sound that echo against the waves rushing against the line. The ocean so clear that the deep blue sky emitting into night reflects upon it, even the clouds ricochet and form the foam of the waves. One velvet wave ripples as another one slaps up behind it in a constant motion. The air was so clear that when engulfed into ruined lungs, the intake of breath create a feel of health again. A soft breeze blew like feathers tickling her skin, the sea salt wind making her eyes wrinkle, and running air shifting through her auburn locks, this is what she craved to be out with harmony of land and away from Sea Below animosity.
She pressed her breasts up against the figure as her long emerald scaly tail fell comfortably on the other's limp body. She gleamed into the stanger's face when the gap enclosed between them for a better look. They appeared the same, seemed the same, but weren't. She was different, in a sense she knew, this one was a 'land swimmer' and aquired an odd pair of untensil to purpose its ability, as she a 'water dweller' lurked her way under the surface waters with her lower scaly features. But this, infront of her, it was capturing. The thought of a land swimmer so close to her. She wouldn't have ever had a chance like this if this, thing, hadn't floated it's way into her area.
The rememberance of sitting on a land platform with her fellow mermaidens clouded in. They sat at the lost oasis many times before, but this day's current incident lead to something else. When the ocean drafted a land swimmer to them. The others had seen them before along the 'country border', but never seen them drifting along their waters bare, but usually with a large tree apparatus with enormous white clouds hanging from it's branches. That one of the merfolk calked a 'ship', but they claimed they only knew the word from the blabbering gulls that flew by taunting the mers. It was always said to never trust the gulls on land swimmer knowledge.
It was all agreed that the land swimmer would be left ashore of the oasis and not remembered again, nor to return to the small island, but to find another spot to enjoy their playful gatherings. Even though the mermen had chatted to kill the beast instead, but as the younglings disagreed of the site and terrible doings it was settled. After the first long day past the thought hadn't escaped her mind for it was later on that night she flopped her way back to the small island in seeing the land swimmer still upon it's shore, she supposed it's death fell upon the unfortunate thing, but curiosity took it's place and there she was leaning over to the 'it' so close, pressing her body against the other's and watched it's chest rise and fall and there she stayed observing 'til the sun's rebirth of day.
