In the interest of fairness I actually went back and listened again, and I regret it. Not recording with a Yak Bak in mom's garage is a good first step. The constant guitar screeching is pretty awful too. It can be good if used well, but in this case it feels like it was just thrown in because screeching and power chords = METAL. Bad lyrics. Godawful vocals. Honestly, as a whole it's so bad I really can't offer much in the way of advice other than quit while you're ahead. There are enough good bands out there struggling to get noticed, and the world really doesn't need another bad, generic wannabe metal band out there shitting things up.
If you're serious about improving get a vocal coach, learn how to write better lyrics and find some guys who have at least a basic grasp of what good music sounds like. Pool your money for an actual studio and record some real tracks. You don't even need that many. Just enough to put on demo CDs to create some buzz. Keep working to improve, play live as often as possible, and use every spare second to practice.
If you do that, maybe, maybe you'll have something that won't make all ten people at the dive bar you're playing at feel sorry for you and you might get noticed by someone who matters. Like I said before though, there are so many really amazing bands out there going absolutely nowhere that I doubt chances are any better for you. Not being a dick, just realistic.
