The Tri-Galactic Gladiatorial Tournament had gone better for Luna than she could have ever thought. Who would have thought that a renegade bounty hunter could have made such a contender in a tournament filled to the brim with professional fighters and the Tri-Galactic Federation’s own law enforcement and military officials? As with any fighting competition, there had been bets placed and Luna, being a lowly bounty-hunting ‘dog’ for lack of better words, had not been expected to place well. Luna’s placing in the tournament had cost a lot of powerful people a lot of money. She would need to lie low for a while; that was sure. People would be looking for her now, people that you probably wouldn’t want looking for you; everyone from crime lords to the very military officials that she had bested. The prizes that she had won, however, would make it all worth it though.

To look at Luna, one would expect her to best a human, sure, but the ‘humans’ were a new species reported to live on a planet known as Earth far from Tri-Galactic Space. Among the humans, Luna would have gotten the highest expectations but among the three primary races of the Tri-Galactic Federation, her own race was considered to be small and frail.

The Ingentians are a brutal, militaristic race very reminiscent of orcs and ogres from popular ‘fantasy’ in human culture. Reaching an upwards of four to four and a half qualtons (eight to nine feet) in height, the average Ingentian would dwarf any human. For the most part, their facial features are humanesque, save for the elongated bottom canine teeth that seem to form small tusks and the flat, almost pig-like noses. Their bodies are very muscular and humanoid in shape with arms that look as though they might be a little too long for their body by human proportions. Their hide is very tough and rough, similar almost to that of a rhinoceros. The Ingentian skin pigments some in varying shades of greens, browns, greys, and black. Their eyes are almost always the same color as their skin and their hair is almost always black though brown and grey are not unheard of.

The Xapiri are an industrious people reminiscent of elves from popular Earthen ‘fantasy’. They too reach the height of four to four and one half qualtons (eight to nine feet) in height though their frames are more proportionate to what a human of that height might look like. Their ears are pointed and their facial features are quite narrow, often with long, pointed noses and thin lips. Like the Ingentians, the Xapiri are relatively humanoid in shape and are probably the most ‘human looking’ of the three primary races of Tri-Galactic Space. The Xapiri skin pigments are also more human than the Ingentian’s, coming only in a soft peach color similar to the Caucasian race. Though this is the base color of all Xapirian’s, it isn’t unheard of for their skin to have gentle blue, grey, or even orange hues. Their eyes are usually warm colours; reds, oranges, and yellows and their hair is often white, silver, or grey though this race’s eyes and hair seem to come in almost any color.

The Akayambi are, quite easily, the most socially passive and accepting of the three prime races. They don’t have an easily identifiable relatives back on earth but the closest that one could place to them would be the Zora from the Legend of Zelda series of video games. Reaching up to a height of five qualtons (ten feet), they are the tallest of the prime races and the most bizarre looking. This race does not have a nose or nostrils nor does this race possess any body hair. The upper area of their ‘faces’ possess anywhere from four to eight eyes arranged in no specific order. As an amphibian race, the Akayambi possess slits on their neck which they breathe through. When underwater, these slits act as gills and filter oxygen from the water. Their bodies possess more muscle mass than Xapiri but not as much as the Ingentians. With webbed hands and feet, the members of this race are very fast swimmers and unrivaled combatants in aquatic environments. Their skin comes in varying shades of light blues, greens, and greys and their eyes are all black.

These are the three prime races among Tri-Galactic Space and make up about ninety percent of the population. Luna, herself, is from a very rare species with no designated name; most people aren’t even sure of her race’s origins anymore. She stands at just a few quintons short of three and one half qualtons (a few inches short of seven feet). Her build is rather muscular, similar to that of the Xapiri though this is only because she takes care of herself and works out. She would be much smaller without the physical effort. Her face and her ears are very canine-like, with an elongated maw and a small wet nose. Luna’s maw is filled with teeth similar to a human’s. Her front teeth are sharp and made for tearing, similar to a canine’s, but her back teeth are flat and made for grinding and chewing. Her hands and feet are clawed d a large, bushy tail protrudes from the bottom of her spine. Her entire form is covered in fur and dark blue locks grow from her skull where a human’s hair would grow; the fur of her belly, chest, face inner ears, and the bottom of her tail is white and the rest of her fur is a soft sky-blue.

As the lupine woman was making the final touches to her ship’s autopilot so that she could get the hell out of this port, a female voice erupted from the craft’s speaker system. “The defrosting process is completed, Miss Luna. You may collect your materials.”

The announcement brought a smirk to the woman’s maw. In addition to enough prize money to have her entire ship completely redone, Luna had won something else from the tournament; a woman from the recently discovered planet of ‘Earth’. The Tri-Galactic Council had given the Tournament Committee permission to collect up to five of earth’s woman to use as prizes in the tournament and they had served as great incentive. Sadly, they had been cryogenically frozen upon abduction to help with the shock of everything that they would see. According to the Council, their race was very primitive and was just discovering space travel. That announcement meant that her new slave was thawed and wating to be picked up in the defrosting bay.

Luna finished inputting the coordinates of her favorite tavern/inn where she often stayed and set the ship on course. As the autopilot was engaged, the whine of the engines starting to charge could be heard throughout the entire ship and the bridge to the spaceport broke away from the ship with a loud clang that shook the entire craft. With everything set, Luna started to dash out of the cockpit to make her way down to the defrosting chambers.

Back on Earth, Tennessee Montgomery was just starting her career. She'd finally burst free of the confining role of "child star," one thrust upon her by years of working at Disney and other such corporations. Now Tennessee hardly looked like a child. Adult curves had settled in when she'd turned fourteen, and had only blossomed and formed quite well in the past few years. True, she held more weight than several of her peers in the business, but Tennessee wasn't about to start crash dieting. Not while her hips still caught attention, and her pert ass still got nearly as much press as she did. Plus, her breasts were full and impressive, easily reaching a C cup. To complete the package, she had a beautiful, cheerful face with just a hint of curve to it: sparkling green-blue eyes looking out from beneath her well kept lashes. Perfect pink lips, pert little nose: essentially a face that belonged on a magazine smiling. To add the killer blow: dark auburn locks that fell in beautiful waves nearly to her waist, certainly curling about the small of her back.

But Tennessee had never been one to believe in science fiction or magic. She'd had any such illusions shattered early on in her life, thanks to an ever so kind father, one who'd been given a restraining order when he was found to be a little touchy. Indeed, the ex-child star now teen idol had become known for being somewhat cynical and slightly sarcastic in interviews, something her agent had often bemoaned. But all this meant that when she woke from being frozen, to stare at what appeared to be a ship.

"What the--- hell?" she said. Blinking, she tried to clear the bleariness from her eyes. It wasn't working. the world wasn't suddenly becoming something that made sense. She took a stumbling step forward, only to find that she was in some kind of sealed room. Her hands went to a clear glass, feeling the surface. She stared at it for a moment, before realizing that she was standing in a glass chamber... wearing nothing but a pair of frilly underthings.

Panic set in. She pounded the glass and screamed, demanding for someone to come out and help her. Anyone. Anything had to be better than being trapped in what appeared to be some kind of high-tech jail cell or something.

Then the wolf showed up.

Tennessee leaped away from the glass. Her hand flew up into a defensive position and she scrambled backward. Immediately she looked about her, trying to find something, anything, that she could use as a weapon. Clearly this creature was here to eat her or, or something.

"Dammit, I need mace or a mace," muttered the girl, blowing out her lips, which made a lock of the deep red hair bounce along her face. She hit a fist against a wall, which certainly didn't help. Then she scrambled to face the creature. She was not going down whimpering and sobbing, that was for damn sure. "What the hell are you? Where am I? What's going on? You don't want to eat me! I'll taste lousy, and I've got no muscle," she poked her breast, "this is all fat."

dammit. dammit. dammit.

The chamber which Tennessee had awoken in was not nearly as she had first perceived it though that was to be expected given that she had been cryogenically frozen for the past three weeks in Earth time. Any number of things could have jarred the perceptive lobe of her brain. Her mind could still be partially numb from being frozen for such a length of time without being accustomed to it. She could be in a state of psychiatric shock from being snatched right off of her primitive home world by an alien craft. Hell, it could have just been the steam that surrounded her in the small chamber. Who was to say what exactly had fogged Tennessee’s memory?

The chamber was relatively small, no more than six feet by six feet with what seemed to be about a fifteen foot ceiling clearance. Most of the chamber was made of metal; just what kind of metal would have been hard to tell but if Tennessee happened to have a magnet on her then she might have noticed that is wasn’t magnetic. There were vents near the bottom of the walls, in the center of the walls, and near the top of the walls, all slowly releasing warm steam into the chamber. The door of the chamber was what Tennessee might have mistaken as ‘glass’. In truth, door was made of a material not found on Earth known as plastile; a transparent metal polymer used in the windows and other clear components of ships due to its high melting point and steel-like durability. For a human, who would have never come into contact with this material before, it was a very easy mistake to make as plastile did in fact, feel similar to glass.

It had taken Luna a few minutes to get down to her destination. The defrosting chambers on her ship were in the bottom-most part of her craft all of the way in the back, below the engine room. This was because living specimens were rarely placed in these chambers so their position and closeness to the rest of the ‘crew’ were not important. Usually, Luna just used them for storage but once in a while, she would get a new component that had been cold-shipped and needed thawed.

When Luna rounded the corner and pushed her way through the plastile double-doors that led into the defrosting chambers, her eyes immediately fell to the small, pale creature that was now cowering away from the lupine alien. The blue vixen was wearing her workout uniform, as she had intended to go to her training room after the autopilot was engaged but Tennessee had been defrosted faster than expected. A tight black ‘tank’, as the human would see it as, covered her shapely bust and a small set of black shorts hugged her hips and thighs. The straps of what could only be some form of sexy underwear stuck out from the sides of the blue lupine’s shorts to hook higher upon her hips. The outfit did not leave much to the imagination but in her defense, Luna was used to being alone on this ship.

Before the Lupine woman approached the chamber, she moved across the room to a small cabinet where she pulled two small devices from within a small drawer and fixed them to sit in her ears. These would be needed for her to understand anything that the human said. Two more similar devices were pulled from the drawer before, at last, the ‘wolf’ moved toward the door to Tennessee’s chamber and carefully opened the door. When he door opened, steam rushed from the room and almost instantly, the temperature inside plummeted from around what felt like eighty degrees to sixty in a matter of seconds.

"Great, you're not talking. That's just awesome. Super. stupendous... Jesus! That's cold," insisted Tennessee as the steam rolled out. Immediately goosebumps pimpled her flesh and immediately the starlet began rubbing at her arms. The chamber, her cell, must have had some kind of regulated temperature, and the moment the doors opened, said temperature lowered to match the ship. It probably wouldn't have caused tremors in Tennessee normally, but she was dressed in her scanty underthings, and the sudden drop caught her by surprise.

She stared at the two devices, watching the large, blue wolf-woman with skepticism. You generally didn't give technology to something you were going to eat. Generally. Unless those were tags of some kind, or some means of cooking. Tennessee tried to read the creature's expression, used to reading faces from years of acting. But she couldn't; she hadn't learned how this alien creature expressed herself yet. Cursing inwardly, the actress pushed herself up. She wasn't going to roll over. she had to do something, to think.

"You didn't answer any of my questions," she said, looking the creature in the eye. Now that she could look closer, she could tell that it was obviously female, with impressive breasts. The muscles on that girl showed that she'd have no problems catching or beating Tennessee in a fight, so that option was pointless. In fact, there was a beauty and near sexuality about the creature that struck Tennessee. She reminded the actress of some of the "benevolent creatures" that they'd designed for various movies. Which was probably why she wasn't screaming in terror.

"Let me guess," she said, chewing her lip. "You can't understand my language or something. Which means that that," she pointed at the devices, "is supposed to help you. Or give you psychic mind powers to murder me with."

The girl moaned and leaned against a wall, suddenly feeling the days, weeks, months? of freezing. Still, she looked up at the creature, waiting for some sign of purpose, intention, or even intelligence.

Although Tennessee was most definitely more afraid of this blue lupine creature than Luna was of the smaller human, the alien creature still approached her new companion with apprehension. For a moment, Luna was lost in thought as she recalled the meeting just before the tournament. They had announced the discovery of Earth at that meeting, as well as something that most of the competitors found much more interesting.

“We have discovered a new planet with sentient life,” they had been told. “It is far outside of Tri-Galactic Space and therefore its beings are not protected by the Federation’s laws. That said, we have taken five beings from this planet, all of which will be offered as prizes for placing tonight; along with your coin reward, of course. They have the appearance of the Xapiri, though much smaller and slimmer. They at only two and one half to three qualtons in height, most of you should be able to control them.”

Many questions had been asked, most of them Luna’s. Each race, stereotypical to their kind seemed to really only care about a few things; the Ingentians all wanted to know if these new creatures could be used for sex, to which they were very pleased to hear that the humans were sexually similar to most races in Tri-Galactic Space. The Akayambi were the main exception to this rule with no outward distinction between their males and females. This amphibian race reproduced in a similar way to Earth’s fish; spawning without the need for sexual intercourse.

The Xapiri, being the industrious people that they were, wished to know if these new creatures cold be trained to perform tasks necessary to ship functioning. They, too, were thrilled with their answer, being told tales of the innovations and industrial powers that the humans possessed on their home world. Of course, human technology was nothing in comparison to what the Tri-Galactic Federation’s people possessed but it still meant that they could be trained.

The Akayambi, being a social people of wisdom, wished only to know if these new creatures had the potential to make socially stimulating companions. They too, were thrilled to know that humans possessed a wide range of emotions and the ability to think and speak freely. Yes, of the three prime races, the Akayambi would have been the ones that most humans would wish to have served if given the choice. They did not want these new creatures for sex nor labor; merely companionship and conversation.

Luna, as well as a few representatives from other ‘lesser’ races had been the ones to ask slightly more meaningful questions. “Are these creatures venomous?” “Do they possess powers of mind control?” “Can they harness their body’s electrical signals?” “Are they ill?” “Will they expose us to new diseases?” The smaller, frailer, and less populated races were concerned primarily with safety and while Luna was large to Tennessee, she was not used to being the biggest lady in the room.

Shaking the thoughts from her head, Luna reassured herself that this small, rather cute creature was not, in any way, a threat to her. With newfound courage, Luna stuck her clawed, five-fingered hand out toward Tennessee. Her hand was opened, with the palm facing the ceiling. The two devices were there in the blue lupine’s hand for the human woman to take. Now that Tennessee was close to them and could see them clearly, she would be able to see that they were clearly made for human ears. There was a small microphone fixed one a plastic structure formed to tuck in place behind the outer ear so that it would not easily fall out. They were a little more solid looking than Luna’s own which kind of just clipped to her ear.

Tennessee had been to a Star Wars convention, once. It had been part of a movie she'd been shooting, one where she, the reluctant girlfriend, had been dragged to a convention by her brother. There they'd had to uncover a mystery, which had included a real alien. The whole experience had been comical at the time, and Tennessee had figured that in no way would it actually amount to anything.

Yet here she was, standing, albeit shakily, in a high-tech cell on some foreign world or something, with a giant blue wolf alien offering her technology. Thankfully, Tennessee had had to be briefed on "alien tech" during the shooting of that movie. So she figured the things handed to her had less to do with wiping her mind and more to do with making her understood. So she took them, still reluctant and cautious, and began attempting to hook them onto her ears. It took several tries, and she poked herself a time or two, but the devices eventually were nestled in her ears, nearly blending in, and definitely hidden by the wild mane of red.

"So," she said, returning her hands to grip the ship and force herself upright. Her legs felt like jelly and her mouth felt thick, not to mention the occasional spinning sensation. "What are you going to do with me? I'm going to rule out 'eating,' since you don't usually want to talk to supper first..."

Something akin to a smile slid across the blue creature’s muzzle as the small, pale creature finally snapped her translators into place inside of her ears. Now their communication wouldn’t just be a one-way street with this primitive little being berating Luna like she was the lesser life-form. It actually amused the blue furred alien that this creature was speaking to her in such a manner. It meant that she had spunk and if there was one thing that Luna didn’t want lounging about her ship it was a spineless little creature with no use.

“I am glad to see that your defrosting process went smoothly,” the blue creature spoke in a kind tone, ignoring the insults. Well, the translator had done most of the ‘speaking’. If Tennessee were to take them back out then all she would have heard would have been a series of growls, purrs, whines, chirps, and soft barking sounds. Without a translator, Luna’s species could not communicate with anyone except themselves vocally which is another reason why her race was so disliked. They could learn to understand other languages, sure, but their vocal cords could not speak them.

“Come, come,” the creature spoke again as it stepped to the side to allow Tennessee to leave the chamber. “The Federation gave us all a large cargo crate of clothing taken from your planet. I am sure that you can find something dry to wear to keep you warm in the Dead Reaches.”

The strange device translated directly into Tennessee's mind, making it seem less like the creature spoke English and more like the creature directly spoke to Tennessee's mind. It was more than a little unnerving, and she kept feeling like poking her ear with a finger. Instead she snorted.

"Sure, smooth. I'm about ready to vomit, the world hasn't stopped spinning, and there's a strange feeling in my mouth. Plus, I still don't have any idea where I am or what's going on," said Tennessee. She felt like spitting or hacking, or coughing. Instead she kept looking at the blue creature, wondering what was going on. At least she sounded pleasant enough. Plus she wanted to put more clothes on Tennessee, which was good in a lot of ways.

"The Federation," repeated Tennessee. She started walking, again wobbling, nearly stumbling. She gripped the side of the ship desperately. "From my planet.... in the Dead Reaches."

Tennessee took a deep breath. She'd definitely been captured by an alien of some kind. Apparently an alien working for the Federation, or one part of it. Which made sense, in a Star Trek-ky kind of way. Tennessee's brain tried to put things together, but since her thoughts were going in circles, that wasn't happening. Clothes first. Or a shower.

"Clothes from Earth? You sure I shouldn't wear some kind of spacesuit or special uniform?" asked Tennessee. "i mean, I don't want to end up dying or sticking out--" she stopped as she looked at the giant wolf-woman. "Never mind."

Luna had never been frozen herself but she knew many who had and none of them had good things to say about their first defrosting. It was, supposedly, a mentally stressful and disorientating experience. Luckily, the effects were temporary and only lasted about a day for most people, varying between individuals and time frozen. Three weeks was nothing in the grand scheme of cryogenic technology so Luna did not expect to have this woman like this for long.

Regardless of how small her time in this disoriented state would be, she could not be left down here in the defrosting tube alone. That would have been a miserable existence, in Luna’s humble opinion. She should know; she’d been captured and put on the underground slaving block before. It was the curse of a beautiful specimen of one of Tri-Galactic Space’s ‘lesser races’.

Having no intention of leaving Tennessee down in this dark and cold chamber, Luna stepped into the defrosting tube and made her way toward her new companion. Having nowhere to run and being so much smaller and weaker compared to the blue creature, Tennessee didn’t stand any chance of getting away; not that she really needed to. Despite how the human girl might have interpreted the alien’s advances, all Luna was doing was scooping her up into those strong, furred arms. Luna was surprisingly soft and warm to the touch too. Surely she couldn’t be all bad if she was warm and fuzzy.

Perhaps it would have been wiser to tell the human what was going on before trying to pick her up but Luna simply didn’t feel it was her place. She had won this little creature fair and square. This small creature was now Luna’s property and the lupine alien simply didn’t feel that she did not need to ask permission before touching what was hers.

"Not much of a talker, are you?" asked Tennessee. She laughed dryly, shaking her head wearily. She had been captured by a wolf, an upright wolf, and she was commenting upon her captor's unwillingness to talk. Well, some talk might help, since Tennessee still had no clear idea of what she was doing. Her legs wouldn't work either, as she found out when she attempted to take a few shaky steps forward. The wolf moved forward then, scooping up Tennessee.

The starlet gasped and threw her arms around her furry captor. Luna felt soft, gentle and warm. She handled Tennessee like a mother carried a child, or a groom carried his bride. There certainly wasn't any indications of wanting to harm, or any hints that something malevolent might be at work here. Could it be that Tennessee had at least lucked out in the captor department?

"Um, thanks for picking me up?" she tried. She clearly wasn't walking, and she really didn't want to stay where she'd been left, so the thanks seemed in order. "You're kind of warm and fuzzy. It's like hugging a dog or something. Not that I've ever had a dog."

She took a deep breath, moving her head to rest against the wolf's chest. The world kept spinning, and Tennessee needed something to help ground her. But she couldn't help but feel small, especially in this creature's arms. She could only be a foot or two shorter, but she didn't have near Luna's muscles or build. in comparison, therefore, Tennessee was tiny.

her eyes closed for a moment, as she took in a deep breath, smelling the wolf's natural odor. Her eyes opened then, and she suddenly realized that she should be looking around, taking in her surroundings, memorizing things. She'd had to memorize a variety of sets and stages before, and this was no different. Just as unfamiliar too. So Tennessee's eyes took in the strangeness around her, while she clung to the wolf creature that had been nothing but gentle so far.

"Oh grandma, what big muscles you have," muttered Tennessee, chuckling under her breath.

Tennessee had, indeed, been lucky in the captor department. The other four victors in the tournament than had been awarded these new creatures as pets had all been Ingentians. The humans each had a twenty percent chance of being given to a gentle blue space-vixen and an eighty percent chance of becoming sex slaves to what was essentially a big gorilla twice their height with rough, rhino-esque hide. Tennessee had been very lucky.

“I am used to being alone here so I am not used to having anyone to talk to,” the creature said once it had gotten Tennessee situated, cradling her in those warm and furry arms like a groom might carry his bride. Luna turned and began to walk off toward the plastile doorway that emptied into the hall that would take them back up to the ship’s main deck.

As the two moved, Luna fidgeted and her big orange eyes kept darting around the otherwise empty hallway. Luna was at home in a bar. There she could talk up a storm, buy and sell information, have a good time with an old friend, whatever. Her ship, however, was not someplace that she was used to having any social interaction. She was struggling desperately to find something to talk about but nothing was coming to mind. Fortunately, something that this creature had said caught her attention.

“What is a dog? Is that what my kind are called back on your planet? Are there a lot of us there? I do not think that I have ever met anyone else like me in all of my years. We are very rare here in Tri-Galactic Space.” From where Luna stood, this thing seemed to like social interaction; it had certainly already done a lot more talking than she had expected it to so the vixen would try to keep things flowing.

"I suppose that makes sense. this looks like a ship or something, right? So... you're like a star pilot then," said Tennessee. she wished that her head would quit spinning. But she was starting to get used to it by now; it almost felt like being buzzed with alcohol. except combined with killer jet lag, and possibly an upset stomach. Suffice to say, Tennessee was really glad that the ship wasn't rocking and that she wasn't doing her own walking. The motions of the wolf-creature moving were more than enough.

Tennessee could almost sense her captor's discomfort. weird, considering the big blue wolf had the upper hand here, plus she had the advantage of knowing what the hell was going on. She might not have expected a chatterbox for a companion though. Tennessee has always been vocal, and that had only gotten worse when she'd been paid to use her voice. It certainly didn't help that she was clearly in alien space and dangerously close to panicking.

So Tennessee was getting ready to fill the silence when Luna spoke instead. The question caught the earthling off guard, and she blurted a laugh. She just caught herself from snorting too much, covering her mouth with a hand. a few tremors shook her regardless, before the stage training kicked in again.

"Dogs are pets,' she said. "They look sort of like you, but they walk on all fours and aren't really that smart. Well, they're smarter than some animals. But they aren't as smart as you are. they couldn't fly a spaceship. A complicated one, that is. I'm betting that there's a spaceship designed for dogs. But, yeah, they don't look exactly like you. Just sort of. And really, you're more wolfy than anything."

Tennessee paused. She'd been captured by a rarity in "Tri-Galactic" space. So... it was like being captured by Yoda then? Okay, that made a little sense, she guessed. She also couldn't help but feel a lonely vibe from the other woman too. Which made her wonder what exactly she was doing here again.

"I don't suppose you're going to fill me in on any details, are you?" asked the starlet, looking up. "I mean. I'm clearly on an alien something or other, and you're obviously my jailer or something. Is this for too many parking tickets? Or my latest single? I swear, that was my agent's idea," she chuckled, moving up to brush another lock of red hair from her eyes. Unfortunately, this made her dizzy, and she had to grip tightly the wolf's fur, taking a few deep breaths.

"Yeah, I'm lucky I haven't passed out yet," she muttered. Blew another strand of red hair out of her eyes, and looked over her shoulder at her captor. "I'm Tennessee, by the way. Tennessee Montgomery. From Earth, but i guess you know that..."

Luna thought about what she was being told about these ‘dogs’ back on earth. The concept that more of her people were out there somewhere was, understandably, an exciting idea that had the blue lupine’s tail wagging involuntarily behind her. To hear that these ‘dogs’ were not her people was a bit of a letdown after getting her hopes up but at the same time, another interesting concept was introduced. Pets were creatures that were viewed as not as smart by other beings but were still smarter than some others? Luna was confused but the best that she could gather was that this creature could be her pet. From what she had been told, these humans were fairly primitive.

Luna didn’t respond right away when the human woman asked none-too-subtly what was going on, giving Tennessee time to be sure that she was finished talking. After all, this little creature seemed very talkative. “I fear that there may be a great deal to explain and I am not entirely positive on the entire story,” the blue furred creature finally answered once Tennessee had stopped. “What I do know is that you and four others of your kind were taken from earth and brought here to Tri-Galactic Space to serve as prizes for the top five competitors in the Tri-Annual Tri-Galactic Gladiatorial Competitions. I believe that you were cryogenically frozen the very night that you were taken from your home world. I do not know how long ago that was.”

The lupine woman paused for a second there, trying to think of how to best continue from there. This was going to be a lot to take in, after all. “I placed third in the competition and you were gifted to me as my prize, along with enough coin for the two of us to lie low for a little while which might be a good thing. There might be a couple of sore losers coming after us for a while. As for where you are at, you are in your new home; my cruiser. She isn’t new and she isn’t fancy, but she hasn’t gotten me killed yet so I suppose she does alright.”

As the two of them moved through the ship, a loud metallic snapping sound rang through the entirety of the craft. The lupine didn’t even bat an eye at the sound, recognizing it as the ship breaking its last ties to the spaceport. “I have charted our course to your destination, Miss Luna. Spaceport has been undocked and the engines are charged. Systems awaiting launch code,” the female robotic voice rang through the ship’s speaker systems.

Five Earthlings had been captured and brought as.... prizes in a competition. Which meant that this creature thought she owned Tennessee. And she'd been frozen for who knows how long, dragged across the galaxy, and then been won by a wolf.

At first, Tennessee didn't say anything, stunned silent. That alone should have been clue that something was very, very wrong. Third in a competition. Had to lie low. Inside a spaceship, an older model. She'd been captured by some kind of third rate outlaw. she was some kind of third rate outlaw's freakin' slave.

The panic suddenly set in. "No! No! Nonononononono!" cried Tennessee getting gradually louder. she started struggling and squirming, kicking, biting, scratching, do all sorts of things to the impressive wolf-woman who held her. "NO!" she screamed into the creature's face. "I'm not your slave!. I have rights! You can't do this to me! I'm, I'm, I'm famous. I'm in movies! This doesn't happen to people like me! This isn't happening. This is some kind of joke. You're wearing some kind of costume, aren't you?'

Panic fully drove the girl now, and she started pulling and yanking at Luna's fur, as if trying to peel off a costume that simply didn't exist.
