He walked through the rain towards the train station wearing his hat over his head and his raincoat surrounding his body.
His Detective police badge was hidden deep in his coat pocket and any passer-by would assume he was just another lowlife just trying to get by one day at a time with a poor excuse for an existence and hellhole for a home.
Technically 80% of that was true but he was fed up. He was fed up with the criminals running the town; his bosses in the precinct not turning a blind eye to the crime but actively encouraging it as long as they had their cut.
Noone walked through downtown unless they had a reason. The reporters would never set foot in that area of the city so the public had no idea what was going on behind the scenes, but he'd planned for that all to change.
He'd had her eye on her for months and today he'd finally tailed her towards the train station. He only knew limited information about her, if he started digging around the station it would raise suspicion.
He'd codenamed her "Chromium".
