Alexis carefully balanced a bag on her hip as she unlocked the front door of the small house she shared with her son, holding her purses strap in her teeth. Once the door was open, she shifted the things in her hands before entering and kicking the door shut behind her. Dropping her purse and keys off at the hall table, she continued through the house to the kitchen where she put the two bags of groceries down with a sigh. She wasn't sure what time her son was due home, so she worked quickly to put things away. He'd been so busy lately, she didn't want to bother him with such trivial things such as putting the groceries away. As she worked around the kitchen, she softly hummed to herself.

Alexis was a beautiful middle aged woman who looked as if she were still in her mid-twenties. She had long black hair that reached mid-back and tended to stick up everywhere unless it was pulled back and even then any hair that was loose stuck up. On most people such a look was rather messy, but on her it was cute. She had heterochromia which ment that she had eyes which were two different colors. One of her eyes was a bright green color while the other was a golden brown color. It was a feature she'd inherited from her grandmother. Alexia was 5'8" and 148 lbs with a curvy yet fit body. She was skinny, yet not model skinny, with long legs, wide hips and perky, large D-cup breasts.

When she was younger, she was quite the catch and though she could of had any man she wanted, she fell in love with a modest and kind man. They had dated for about four years before he proposed to her and they got married. Not even a year after getting married they had their first and only child, their son. However, after many years of marriage, her husband had gotten ill and passed away. Ever since she'd been single and working hard to support herself and her son.

Leo was just another college graduate that had worked his butt off to try and make a living. Today, he was at work, working overtime as always, although the overtime paid him rather well, so it helped him and his lone mother with the bills of the house and groceries. He was an accountant of a large company, his work not too tough, but something he liked doing. He loved crunching numbers, it was what he was best at since he was twelve. As the day finally came to an end, his boss walked in on him while he was packing up, then held a check up in front of him. Leo looked carefully at the check, then noticed the numbers were completely wrong from what he normally got for working. "Mr. Swanson, I think you made a mistake... You don't pay me that much." He said honestly and looked at the older man, who seemed in his fifties, but was only in his early forties.

"No, Leo, this is your bonus for working so hard. Congratulations on your promotion." The boss said with a smile and then handed the check to Leo. The young graduate was stunned. He has been an intern at this company for two years while at college, and then worked for them for only six months. The promotion and bonus was unexpected, but Leo took the money happily and thanked the man.

The boy soon finished picking up what he needed to bring home for the weekend and then rushed home, well not quite rushed, but it felt like he did. Once he was home, he noticed his mother's car was already parked and in the driveway, and so with a big smile, he walked into the house, knowing that it would be unlocked for him. "Mom! I got great news for us!" He said loudly, not knowing where she was. He quickly undid his tie and took off the jacket from his office-wear, then set the briefcase down beside the shoes and took out the check from his back pocket, ready to show his mother. He went into the kitchen to see her finishing unpacking something, or so it seemed to him.

Alexis loved her son and was so proud of him for all the work he did. She'd seen many single mothers spoil their children rotten and the child grew up to not go anywhere with their lives. While she did her best to give him everything he wanted as he grew up, she made sure that he didn't take anything for granted and he always worked hard in school. When he had gotten into college, she couldn't of been happier. He reminded her of her husband at times and it always made her smile. Her husband had been excellent with numbers as well. While he took care of things like that, she was more of an artsy person, always taking pictures of things so that's what she did for a job. She took pictures for one of the local magazine companies.

When Leo got home, she was just about done putting things away. Hearing the front door open and close, she smiled as she put a couple boxes in the pantry. "Great news?" she called back. "And what's that?" She heard him coming down the hall and smiled as she picked up the last few jars to be put away. Looking over her shoulder, she smiled at him before putting them into the pantry as well. "What's this great news?" she asked while stuffing the grocery bags into the trash.

Leo's eyes gleamed, the same color as her mother's eyes, except in opposite eyes, his left a bright green, his right a golden brown. He walked closer to his mother and then pulled out the check, holding it in both of his hands, fully extended, close to his chest. "Look at the numbers." He said with a small smile, trying to keep the big smile for when she congratulates him. The way she congratulated him always made him happy, whether it was a nice dinner that seemed expensive to them, or just a simple hug and a peck on the cheek.

((Sorry, this time it came up a bit shorter than I could muster ><))

Alexis looked a little confused when he took out his check and held it up against his chest and she arched an eyebrow until he told her to look at the numbers. Glancing at the check again, she adjusted her gaze and focused on the numbers printed on the check before she gasped softly. "Leo!" she said before smiling brightly. "Oh, this is wonderful news." She moved over to him and wrapped her arms around him with a soft laugh. She released him after a moment and stepped back, placing her hands on either side of his face and she kissed him on the forehead. "You've made me so proud darling." she said lovingly. "We should do something to celebrate." Her mismatched gaze stared up into his as she smiled at him.

(It's fine.)

Leo laughed with her and threw his arms around her middle back to accept the hug. He squeezed her a bit in his arms and then let her go, leaning his head down a bit as she kissed his forehead. Her hands felt so warm and soft on his cheeks, he loved it. "We should, but with what?" He asked her as he looked back deep into her eyes. He then got the idea of going out for dinner, a not-so-expensive one, but pretty expensive for their precious paychecks to handle. "I know, let's go out for dinner, mom!" He said with a smile and kissed her cheek gently. "My treat, we can order anything you desire." He told her happily and then went to his room to change into newer and more proper clothing to go out.

His clothes felt like he was going out on a date with a girl his age, but he knew that to go out for dinner he had to look nice next to his mom, who always looked her best whenever the two of them went anywhere. She always looked so beautiful, so stunning, and even sexy... He suddenly shook his head a bit, trying to shake off the thought of her being sexy. She's my mother, I just can't think of her as sexy... He thought to himself quickly and finished changing clothes, heading downstairs to wait by the front door.

Alexis closed her eyes as he squeezed her in his arms before smiling up at him as he spoke. She looked thoughtful for a moment. She was about to suggest she make the steaks she'd bought that afternoon when he suggested them go out for dinner and she smiled gently. The idea was a nice one but she'd just spent what was left of her last paycheck on groceries and the electric bill. However, when he said it was his treat, she nodded slightly. "Alright." she said gently, watching him turn and head into his bedroom to change. Chuckling softly, she turned and went to her room as well to change.

In her room, she changed out of her work clothes and let her hair down out of the bun it was in, stretching with a sigh before changing out of her black underclothes into a white pair. After changing her underwear, she went to her closet and looked through everything before plucking out a blue and white dress and slipped it on. Because of the pattern on the dress, it often reminded her of when she had gone on a short trip to the Mediterranean with her husband. The blue and white looked like the water there. After dressing, she slipped her feet into a pair of white sandles before running a brush through her hair then quickly touching up her makeup.

Her son was waiting downstairs by the front door, knowing that his mom loved to take her time when getting ready, just like all the girls in the world loved to do. As Leo waited, he turned to look at his things by the door, and decided to go bring them upstairs to his room for when they get home, so he could do some work. He picked up his suitcase and went to his room, stopping by his mother's room and seeing her through the open crack of the door. He saw her incredible hourglass figure, and she was naked when he saw her. His cheeks turned red slowly as he couldn't help but watch her some more. The way her beautiful and sexy body moved made him think of dirty things once more.

When she changed into the white pair, he looked more at her chest, which was pretty ample and perky for someone her age. As soon as she stepped into her closet, his blush faded and he walked to his room silently and quickly, setting his briefcase down on his workdesk and then going back downstairs to wait by the front door once more. "Mom are you almost ready!?" He asked with a loud shout from where he stood, hoping she was just about ready to go.

She didn't notice that she was being watched, having thought she shut her door all the way. She was just double checking herself in the mirror, smiling a little when she noticed that her black hair was sticking up as usual and she chuckled while shaking her head, when he called up to her and she chuckled. "I'm coming." she called back. Going back to her closet, she pulled out a light jacket. Turning, she head downstairs. Seeing him waiting by the front door, she smiled at him before turning slightly. "Well, is it appropriate for where we're going?" she asked him.

Leo watched his mother descend the staircase, looking at her beautiful body making its way down. "You always dress appropriately, mom, you should know that." He said as she approached him closer and smiled at her. "Come on, I'll drive." He said as he grabbed his car keys off the hook of keys and opened the front door for her, letting her go outside first. He then walked over to the passenger side of the car and opened it for her, letting her sit inside before carefully closing the door. After flashing a quick smile he ran around to the driver's side and sat in the car, starting it up and buckling up. "It's a new place we're going to, so there shouldn't be many people there." He told her as he backed out of the driveway and then pulled away from their home, towards the restaurant that had just opened about twenty minutes from their home.

She chuckled softly and grinned. "I know, but I didn't know how casual this place is." she said as she slipped on her jacket, carefully pulling her hair out from beneath it. As he opened the door for her, she smiled and nodded slightly with a soft 'thank you' before walking down the path towards the cars. She waited for him as he moved around and opened the car door for her. "Thank you Leo." she told him before sitting down, moving her skirt out of the way so he could close the door. While he moved around to the drivers side door, she buckled herself into the car before getting comfortable. "What kind of place is this?" she asked him. She knew that a restaurant had just opened nearby but she didn't know anything about it.

As Leo drove slowly, stopping at just about every light since they had all turned red while the two of them were on the way there. "It's supposedly an authentic Italian restaurant, but we'll just see how authentic." Leo snickered a little to himself and smiled at his mother. He couldn't stop admiring her beauty, she was always looking fantastic, even while she was sick. After about thirty minutes of driving and sitting at red lights, they made it there, a few cars parked in front of the restaurant. Leo parked the car closer to the entrance of the place, making sure it wasn't a handicap space, and shut off the car. After unbuckling and pulling out the key from the ignition, he got up and out of the car, then went over to his mom's side and opened the door for her, holding it open. "Tonight you will be treated like a queen, mom." He said with a smile and bent his arm so she could hook her arm around it, smiling innocently.

Alexis smiled as he told her about the supposedly authentic Italian restaurant and she heard him snicker before looking over at him with a small smile, chuckling softly before loking forward as he drove. She noticed that they seemed to hit just about every red light and shook her head slightly, though it didn't put a damper on her happy mood. When they pulled up to the restaurant, she thought it looked nice and she softly voiced her opinion as Leo parked the car. After the car was parked, she unbuckled her seat belt and flipped down the visor quickly to check her lipgloss before flipping it back up as her door opened. "Thank you Leo." she said as she got out of the car. She couldn't help a gentle laugh as he said that she'd be treated like a queen and she smiled over at him as she slipped her arm into his.

Leo smiled and led his other inside the restaurant, swinging open one of the double doors as they entered. He walked up to the front podium, and ordered a table for two. "Right this way." The waiter said in an Italian accent, a real one too, not just the New York Italian accent either. Leo smiled and sat his mother down in one chair, helping her settle in and pushed her chair in a little bit. Afterwards, he went to sit at the other end of the table, taking the menu he was handed by the waiter and opening it up. "Would you like a bottle of wine?" The waiter asked Leo directly, Leo replying with a nod. "Something not too expensive, but not cheap either." He said and the waiter nodded, disappearing into the kitchen to fetch the wine. "Order anything you'd like, mom, we can take it home if we don't finish." He said with a chuckle and began looking through all the pasta dishes first, since he loved pasta.

Upon entering the restaurant, Alexis could smell the food being cooked and knew that it would be good. She'd been in plenty of authentic italian restaurants when her boss wanted to meet certain people in a more casual setting and talk about the magazine. She let Leo lead her to the table and she sat down carefully while Leo pushed her chair in. While he moved to sit down, she took the menu from the waiter while softly thanking him. The woman had to smile at how Leo ordered the wine and she opened her menu with her own chuckle. She looked through the list of items that they had listed. For several long minutes she looked the menu over before closing her menu and setting it aside. "This restaurant is very nice. I'm glad you choose it." she told him. "It's very cozy."

Leo looked past his menu at his mother and smiled. "The food smells great as well, so lets hope that it tastes great too." He replied with a small chuckle as he spotted the waiter approaching their table from behind his 'date'. The waiter set down two glasses and filled each one with a little bit, for a small taste, not like other restaurants that let the people smell the cork instead. Leo sipped a little bit and nodded, the wine tasting perfect in his personal opinion. The waiter filled their glasses to a little bit more than half, and then set the bottle down, taking out a notepad to take their order. Leo ordered the house special, Carbonara, then looked to his mother as she ordered her dish.

Alexis nodded in agreement when he said that it smelled great as well and she folded her hands in her lap. She watched as the waiter poured them a little wine for them to try before picking up her glass. Swirling the wine around, she took in the aroma of the wine before tasting it. She liked the taste, thinking it would go well with the dish she was going to order. Looking up at the water, she placed her glass back down as the man poured more into the dish. After Leo ordered, she placed her order. She asked for the Penne all'arrabbiata. It was a spicey pasta dish, one that she'd only had once before but enjoyed it anyways.

Leo smiled and handed the waiter the menus back, letting him get back to his work. His gaze then turned to his mother, still smiling softly, no teeth showing. "So what do you have planned for the weekend, mom?" He asked her as he swirled the wine in his glass a little bit, then took a sip once he finished speaking. He then set the glass down and let the flavor of the aged grapes spread out throughout his entire tongue. As he waited for an answer, he kept enjoying the wine, swirling it around in his mouth a little bit.

Alexis picked her wine glass back up and took a sip of it while watching her son with a tender smile, her mis-matched eyes glittering brightly as she gazed at him. "I don't really have any plans. Just rest and relax after this long week." she told him while she enjoyed her wine. "And what about you? What do you have planned for this weekend?" she asked curiously. She sat back in her chair with a gentle sigh while watching him, thinking for a moment about how far he'd come. She knew when she was younger that her son was going to be successful and here he was, having just gotten a promotion. She was proud and she knew her husband would be proud.

Leo looked at his mother's eyes with a small smile as she spoke, then watched her lean back. When she asked him what he had planned, he turned to look in a different direction, not having really thought about it yet. "Well I don't have work this weekend, so I might just relax at home, with you." He said with a small sigh and remembered his friends inviting him to go drinking. "My friends invited me to go drinking at the bars, but I denied it. They know I don't do hard drinking." He said and then looked at his wine glass in his hand, swirling the wine around a little bit more. "Alcohol is meant to be enjoyed, not abused." He stated and then sipped his wine a little bit more.

Alexis was a little surprised when he said that he might relax at him with her. Most young men went out over the weekend, but she liked that he wanted to spend time with her. His words about alcohol made her smile a little wider and she nodded. "I'm very happy you think that way darling." she said gently. "I've seen so many young people just throw their lives away because of alcohol." She hated when people drank too much. She always believed that alcohol was a bad thing and that it made all people, even good men, do bad things. The woman took another sip of her wine before setting the glass down and folding her arms on the edge of the table. "Have I told you how proud of you I am?" she asked, her eyes glimmering brightly as she smiled lovingly at the young man.

Leo smiled and nodded after she said that young people throw away their lives. He then looked at her and blushed a little bit with a small smile, his cheeks burning a little bit from her compliment. "Multiple times, mom, but it will always make my cheeks burn up." He said with a small laugh and gazed into her eyes for a little while, losing himself in them. He has always wanted to know what it would be like to have a wife to come home to each day, but he thought that coming home to his mother was very similar, besides the sexual part on weekend nights.

After a short silence, and nothing but exchanges of smiles and wine sips, the young man noticed the waiter come to their table and serve their food. "Here is your food, enjoy it, lovebirds." The waiter said with a smile, the heavy italian accent still persisting in his voice. Leo blushed when he heard the word lovebirds, then looked at his mom's reaction, to see what she thought of it. Lovebirds? Did she really look that young? Or did he just look that old already?

Alexis noticed him blushing and smiled gently before chuckling gently at his words, her eyes glittering brightly while she gazed at him. "That's because you're modest." she said with a gentle laugh. She drank her wine slowly while just enjoying the comfortable silence with her son. While she gazed at him, her mind began to wander and she thought about how handsome he'd gotten. It didn't surprise her though. After all, he took after his father. However, her thoughts were intterupted when the waiter arriving and she looked up with a smile.

She arched an eyebrow when the man called them 'lovebirds' and she blushed as well before glancing at Leo again before looking down at her plate. She could feel her cheeks burning from her blush. "Thank you." she said gently to the waiter before sighing when he left them and she brushed her bangs from her face before looking up slowly to look Leo in the eyes, wondering what he had thought about what the waiter said.

Leo sat there for a moment, still thinking about whether his mom was looking that young or if he looked that old, then his eyes met hers, and a small smile spread on his face. "I guess he thinks my mother is quite the young one." He said with a small chuckle and hoped she understood what he meant. "You do look young for your age, mom, in other words, you look fantastic." He complimented her with a brighter smile before he picked up his fork and then twirled up some pasta onto it, taking the first bite slowly since it was hot. As he began to slowly eat, he was curious as to what his mom though of him. Did she think of him more than just a son? Or did she think that he was just a son who helped provide for the family?

As she gazed into his eyes before she began blushing as Leo spoke, her pale cheeks taking on a light pink shade which gradually got darker as he continued speaking before she bowed her head. A soft giggle escaped her as her cheeks finally turned red when he said she looked fantastic. "Thank you Leo." she said gently before finally looking up at him. With that she picked up her fork as well and she began eating as well. She could taste the spices in her dish and nodded slightly to herself, happy with her choice for the evening. While eating, she thought about her son. Lately she'd been thinking of him less often as just her son and more of a wonderful and handsome young man who took wonderful care of her. Once or twice her thoughts had strayed to a place that had shocked her and she forced the thoughts away.
