Nina rode on her horse in the middle of the night as she ran from the wild wolves by Niru Forest. She panted as she whipped at her horse's reigns. "HYAH HYAH!" She knew she should have stayed in the Tavern back in Rnelia, but if she did, she would have had to dance for the bartender for free, which she couldn't afford with how much gold she had left. She remembered counting before she left, only 4 gold coins left. Someone had the nerve to steal from her while she was sleeping in an alley. She always hid her gold in her black cloak, covering her beautiful traditional dancing clothes. She always clung to it when she slept, but somehow, it got stolen.
Suddenly she halted at an intersection. There were two choices, a left or a right. She wasn't able to read the signs because of how dark it was so she went with her gut-feeling and took a right. She trailed across the river over the bridge, almost slipping off of it from her horse's fine hooves. She rode up the hill and sharply turned into the shadows of large willow trees. She speaks a small spell her grandmother taught her to conceal herself until she moved. The wolves came to a halt nearby and sniffed the air. Several were growling while the leader barked and howled loudly, turning around and running towards the other side of the river. She took a deep breath and rode onward toward the trail to a town she never seen before. Her heart stopped when she saw who resided there. They were animals, but human-like. She only heard of them in stories but never seen them with her own eyes.
She climbed off of her horse before she went through the entrance and led her horse to a tavern. A large male leopard looked her and snarled. She shrieked softly and went close to her horse. "I must have took the wrong turn! This is definitely not the way to Iriva." She muttered to herself. She swallowed hard and walked into the Tavern after tying her horse to the post. There were only a few of them: a cat, a tiger, a lion, and a dog of some sort. She was stunned and thought she was dreaming. Once one of them took notice of her, he pointed and whispered to one of his kin who bellowed out, "A human!!". She didn't know how to react and just stayed still. She was so afraid of what might happen. She looked around with tears almost filling her eyes.
"Hey, don't be scared. We haven't had a human visitor in ages," a female cat said to her, purring after she spoke. She led her to the bar and gave her a free drink of whiskey. "Go ahead. I heard humans like that stuff." She smiled as she showed her sharp teeth. Nina stuttered a thank you and swallowed all of it in one gulp.
"Fuck.." she said loudly. She never swallowed whiskey in such abundance; it felt like 3 shots in one. She shook her head and coughed into her arm.
"So what brings you here?" the cat purred.
"I uh.. I took the wrong turn. I was trying to go to Iriva," she hesitated and looked up at her. The feline was very pretty.
"Ohhh, the kingdom of Iriva. A wonderful place. Too bad they shunned all of us to this small village. We used to live together peacefully you know. It was very long ago." She smiled softly to her. "Anyways, aside from that, what do you do? You have a beautiful gold decoration on your forehead. I was thinking maybe you were a gypsy of some sort. A fortune teller?"
"No no, I am a dancer. A uh.. An exotic dancer," she said softly, making a male lion next to her choke on his drink.
"Well well well! Then you should perform! Go ahead and walk to the stage over there! We need more people coming to this Tavern more often. It's always dead in this place," the feline said happily as she walked out of the bar toward the stage and spoke with the head entertainer playing swiftly on his piano. He stopped playing immediately, causing a couple of heads to turn in confusion. He went up to the microphone and smiled.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, I think we have found the solution to get this Tavern up and going like in the good old days!" The small crowd howled in excitement and asked what the solution was that they have come up with. "Come here, human. Please, show us your talent." He smirked and walked off the stage and held her hand, leading her to the stage himself, since she was stuck frozen like her feet were melted to the floor.
When she finally hit the stage, she swallowed hard, seeing the small crowd of these "furries" looking at her. She took a deep breath and took off her black cloak, revealing her beautiful delicate clothing with a red and gold top, just covering her breasts, as her bottom was like a g-string with a transparent silk-like pants covered most of her legs. She grabbed her silk sash and looked at the feline who tilted her head at Nina's body. "I.. I need some kind of music," she said with a stutter. She did not feel comfortable dancing in front of them since she never done it before and did not know how they would react.
"Oh silly me! Of course!" She nudged the entertainer before he stumbled on stage and went over to his piano, clapping his hands as a couple furries from the audience walked over to the stage, grabbing a couple instruments from the back. They tuned the instruments, making her nerves even worse from waiting. But finally, when they were done and ready, they began to play a seductive tune that made her sway her hips as she glided the silk sash along with her body movements, trancing the audiences to watch more of her performance. The lion who choked on his drink from before, rushed out of the Tavern and yelled at the top of his lungs about the new dancer and entertainment. Within minutes, a couple more showed up and by the time her top was off, the tables were filled with them. She could feel the sweat trickle down her forehead as she could not believe how tame they were. She always heard that they were so ferocious and were always afraid of them ever since she was a child. She just continued dancing away, feeling her body move with the music, as she heard whistles and howls from the now large audience.
