Silvas sat at his table counting his silver pieces one last time before leaving for the market. Earlier this morning he'd heard from his neighbor that the one mage shop had acquired a fairy. If this was correct it would be a dream come true. Silvas had spent his early years studying sorcery which was common for an elf. However, he had become obsessed with those creatures that had innate magical ability such as fairies. They were prized because of the ability to use items from their bodies such as hair, bones, blood, even their sexual fluids to strengthen any spell.
Tying the purse to his belt Silvas stood and checked over his clothes in a small mirror. After living around humans so long he knew that they would give him a better price in the market than his brethren than wore traditional elf fashions. That is why he typically wore a pair of soft leather trousers and a simple green tunic. He also kept his silver hair cropped short in a human style. However there was nothing to do to make his ears less noticeable so he had them both pierced with several studs. Some were precious metals and others tipped with gems that sparkled as much as his purple eyes.
Leaving his cabin Silvas walked they five short miles into town to attend the days market. Many in town knew of his desire to purchase a fairy. They mostly assumed it was to air in his magic and they were partially right. His true motivation which none knew is he wanted a female fairy as a mate. Human women held no attraction for Silvas and there were few elves in this region. Continuing into town his mind was a blur of thoughts. He hoped the fairy was still available when he got there. Smiling to himself he thought of the various deeds he'd like to use her for, uncertain what to do first.
