Thalia set in the living room of her step fathers house, amber eyes glancing out the window as she tried to focus on anything but the laughter that came from the kitchen just a few rooms away. The source? Her mother, Freya Wright a whore in just about every way imaginable, at least in Thalia's eyes, her twin sister Athena, who was getting married in a few short weeks to some bastard stupid enough to actually see something good in her, and then her younger sisters who were also twins, Diana and Artemis. And last but not least in the massive kitchen was the man she probably despised the most out of the entire group, her stepfather Julian Wright. Each in the kitchen laughing and giggling over who knows what, not bothering to try and include the female any part of the conversation, which made sense actually. They weren't really fond of her to begin with. Never had been and probably never will be. The thing was though, she really didn't give a damn. The only reason she was here right now was to meet the idiot who was getting married. She wanted to see if he looked as stupid as she thought he would, that or insane.
So instead of trying to join in the girl would sit in the living room, mind wondering off to a night she had about two weeks ago. She had met this amazing man. He was kind, he was funny, he had seemed to actually like her. Which was good because she liked him just as much. Some how during the night the two ended up sleeping with one another and instead of it being a casual one night stand he took her to breakfast and lunch and they spent the day together. It really had been amazing. The two exchanged numbers and communicated through text or email daily, last she heard he was going to meet with some family for the week. "Well...hopefully he gets along with his family better then I get along with mine." Because just about anyone that knew her, or her family for that matter, knew that her relationship was them was less than...well, civil.
She would be brought out of her thoughts at the sound of the door bell ringing. She would stand up, the short blood red sundress she wore this morning twisting a bit around her body, long blonde strands of hair moving a little around her back. "Ah, that must be the man of the hour." She would walk over to the door, opening it up with the best smile she could muster that wasn't something cold or cynical. "Hey welcome to - Oh my God..." It was him. Him. The man she had met earlier in the month. What the hell was he doing here?
