Emma had gotten the rutine down pretty well since her mother had died, she'd gotten very good at taking care of all the things her father forgot. She was only sixteen, but she was still finding it easy to handle everything. Everything except her father that is. He was taking the death of his wife very hard, which was to be expected, but Emma somehow felt like she was constantly making things worse. She didn't see him smile at her anymore, he didn't pat her head and tell her how much he loved her. She was growing into a woman, but like a little girl she still needed her daddy.
It took her weeks to come up with a plan and then days to build up the courage to go through with it. She needed to fully replace her mother, not just cooking and cleaning. She needed to do everything for him that her mother did. She woke up early and put her hair in a messy ponytail, walking downstairs in a brow and underwear she headed to the kitchen. She'd walking in on her mom and dad a few times and mom was dressed like this. Now all she needed was the apron.
Once she'd found the apron and put it on she started the coffee and looked for her dad's favorite breakfast food. She got the baccon and the eggs out, putting the waffles int he toaster. She continued to cook, knowing her dad would come down soon when he smelled the food.
